Backstory- Long story somewhat short, I had a nail in a snow tire and a younger rep, Nick, was super helpful in allowing me to jump the line to see if it could be repaired (I had the tire off my car and was driven over). We found out it could not be repaired so I thought Id give this guy the business since he was so helpful on such short notice, and I was trying to avoid taking time off work. Mistake. Unfortunately Nick (who, again, was fantastic) was not there when I arrived for my appointment the next business day, another very uneducated and rude clerk was there. He was in his mid to late 30s, and had a "holier than thou" demeanor. Things started out fine until he noted I had rear spacers on my car and he said they wouldnt touch the car because of the safety risk. Never mind that Ive put tens of thousands of all kinds of miles (street, highway, track) on this car with said spacers, never mind theyre built exactly for my car by a team that races the exact chassis of the car I have and I have the proper length bolts. Oh, and I was willing to sign a safety waiver as if spacers had any impact on the tires, at all, aside from making them sit 10mm wider on each side. If spacers dont use the correct length lugs/bolts or are an improper fit , then yes, they can be a safety issue, but thats absolutely not the case here. I asked him why this was a safety risk and he could only answer "its company policy" as opposed to giving me the real reason(s) and treating my question as one from a seemingly intelligent customer. I asked again and, very rudely, I was told it was company policy and that its for my safety. I said I vehemently disagree and the fact that I am alive and my car is here after a couple years of running this "unsafe" hardware are proof. He then threw my keys across the counter at me and I stormed out, never to return. So apparently driving on summer tires in single-digit weather with ice and snow still on most streets is safer than driving on the wheel spacers. I call complete and utter BS. Discount tire will never receive another dollar from me, or my family and friends. Too bad Im a car guy and am often asked for wheel/tire advice.

This was hands down the best retail shopping experience that Ive ever had at any store in my entire life. I am so happy I turned into this place, I had a big hole in my tire and I filled the tire with a sealant and the tire inflated and was shooting out this yellowish sealant all over and I pulled into the driveway and I was on my way out of town on a roadtrip and Andy Garbis the Assistant manager came right out to my car and I showed him what was going on and he seemed generally concerned and straight with me about the safety of my other tires which were very old and worn which I agreed. He helped me get my car back on the road super quick and got me a great deal on all new tires for my car. He took care of me and I cant ever forget it, this experience has changed my outlook on the general notion that car repair places are all the same. Thank you so much Andy and your team. Most people only write a review when they have a really bad experience and I wanted people to know that I am a real person who lives in Schaumburg and this place is the real deal. Andy is a superstar and should be running this company or some company somewhere, his customer service skills are unmatched, just a real guy who does a hard days work. Thank you so much guys, I have left a review with the company and will be contacting corporate on this, outstanding job. I visited the store on 3/29 3:56 pm.

Expierence is ALWAYS THE BEST, top notch, no joke. Hard to find service like this in this day and age. Ive used this discount tire facility numerous times, always had a extremely positive experience. My recommendation to anyone is to buy the warranty on the tires you bye, I have made up what I paid in warranty. multiple times on my wifes car due to three flats on one vehicle in two years. One of them was even out of state down my road trip in South Carolina. The local discount tire store made good on the warranty, saving me driving home on a compact spare, and saving me several hundred dollars on my tire. This may sound like a line, but I dont recommend businesses to people, friends, relatives, very often, but discount tire I do. Repeatedly. Im very, very impressed with all their facilities including this one. Cant say enough.

Got in and out fast. I had brand new wheels which I brought into the shop. You can tell how every employee was careful not to scratch or nick them! I placed an order online since the tires werent in stock and they called me back the same day and already received them! Employees at the front desk were respectful and courteous entire time! Awesome people! They even put tire shine on! Will defiantly come again! Update: Came back again on a separate occasion with a flat. I was worried because it was 5 minutes before close. I was taking the wheel out of my trunk and one a the friendly service techs came out and gave me a hand. They had absolutely no issue that I was that late. As always, everyone was extremely friendly and the tire was done in no time! Thanks again guys!!!!!!!!

I needed new tires on a rush basis for my wifes car for a trip. I was in and out in under 45 minutes including a new tire pressure sensor and reprogramming the sensor controller. The tire pressure sensor and reprogramming cost $60 vs. $200+ quoted by the dealer. Everyone I dealt with was very competent and friendly. My son bought tires last December at their store in Palatine and had the same positive experience. Also, the selection of available tires included the top rated ones from Consumer Reports, although not all of their stores had the specific tire I wanted.

I would recommend this place today anyone. I had a brand new car and one of the tires got something in it and I was told by two different places that they would not be able to fix it and I should get a new tire. I stopped by here to get a price for a new tire and labor and the gentleman who helped me told me they would try to fix it before I had to spend money on a new tire. AND THEY FIXED IT! Really nice guys who work there and I couldnt believe they were able to it and save me almost $200. Thank you again, Discount Tires!

Absolutely fantastic experience all around, especially working with Andreas! He returned my call within 15 minutes of opening time the next day as promised the night before with an update on my custom tire order. Showed up 10 minutes early for my appointment and they took my keys and were done within 5 minutes of their estimated completion time. They were extremely careful with my car too, and I appreciate how they have a nice big window you can watch them work from if youre paranoid about your car...like I am ;)
