Beware, these guys have a problem about honoring the free replacement warranty on their batteries. I purchased a battery for a piece of equipment for our local baseball park. The battery Quit working during the free replacement period. The manager refused to honor the warranty claiming that because a maintenance minder type of trickle charger was not used. While the battery is called maintenance free Battery plus says you have to maintain it with a trickle charger. I called corporate and complained and they called the store and had them exchange the battery. I thought everthing was good. Flash forward about a year. The battery in our John Deer finally quit. It lasted from 2006 to 2012, 6 years no problem. I took it to battery plus and they set me up with the equivalent size. Because of the past problem I decided to ask questions about their warranty which was 6 month free replacement. I simply asked if this battery quit working during the 6 month free replacement warranty if I would have any problems exchanging it. Then all the BS started to fly. They basically told me that they would not warranty it. I heard nothing but shucking and jiving about their hidden version of their free replacement policy. The manager came out from the back and it was the same jerk who jerked me around the year before. I expressed my concerns about their warranty and was treated rudely and this guy seemed to be enjoying being a dick. He then said that he can and will refuse the sale as if I would beg and plead to buy his battery with his BS warranty. He refused the sale to me and treated me like a jerk for just asking that they honor their warranty as stated on the battery. I ended up going to sears down the block and bought a Sears DieHard Gold for 2 dollars less and it had a one year free replacement instead of 6 months. I asked the customer service adviser in the store if the battery quit and I brought it back will they replace it or will I get a bunch of shucking and jiving about maintaining it with a battery minder. Mr Chris Heklowski said they will exchange it with a new one no questions asked during the free replacement. Woow someone who wasnt a jerk. Battery Plus thank you for refusing to sell me a battery as I got a BETTER BATTERY, A BETTER DEAL, A BETTER WARRANTY, A BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE REP, AND MOST IMPORTANT I WAS TREATED LIKE A CUSTOMER AT YOUR COMPETITOR SEARS. I will tell everyone that your business sucks and that you cant even honor your warranty with out chisling your customers out of it. Message to corporate, You have a rude and ignorant manager working your oaklawn store and you should fire him. But I get the distinct feeling he is just a flunky operating under your orders. To any would be customers I would advise you to go anywhere else for a battery as these batteries are so crappy that they cant even honor their warranties. BEWARE

I have NEVER visited a merchant that worked so hard NOT to sell me a product. I paid for a battery online, I went to this merchant and inquired about having the battery installed, or even if they could assist me in installing the battery. These guys went above and beyond to NOT to help… and not because they do not provide the service either. Since I purchased the product online, I asked them to cancel the purchase. In lieu of just cancelling out my purchase, they insisted that I bring the credit card in which the purchase was made. I had to drive all the way back home and bring the credit card with me. Logic only lends itself to the conclusion that if the purchase was made online WITHOUT presenting a credit card at the store, then the cancellation should be possible WITHOUT presenting a credit card at the store. I suggest that they get their act together without inconveniencing the customer. Don’t advertise installation services if you are NOT going to install nor assist with installation!

After reading reviews of this store and how previous customers were treated regarding warranty I went to Sears as well and got rid of my battery as I noticed my battery light come on.,.this is why reviews are great
