This location is the WORST. Went in b/c my screen broke on my phone. Options were to buyout plan or file an insurance claim. At the time I didnt have my pin # to file a claim. So Sprint started the process of buying out the contract. During the buyout, I was given my pin #. The buyout already took place, but the kid helping me out called and was told I would get a refund within 3-5 days. We then went thru the process of filing a claim ($200 more). Rather than getting the credit as I was promised, Sprint McHenry in stead took $361 for the buyout and another $200 for the insurance claim. After about 2 weeks of me calling them and arguing with the KID who answered, I finally was given a credit of $361 to my CC...they then charged us on the bill. WTF! How is that legal? The plan was never bought out. Sprint stole $361 from me. After all this happened I called the Sprint Billing department and was told that when the cycle happened (on the 28th of November) all would be fine. Well that was NOT the case. Now Im on a cruise and had to pay the bill or my service would be disconnected. WTF. I NEVER BOUGHT OUT THE CONTRACT! Sprint corporate and McHenry need to get their heads out of their ASS Supposedly the Sales Rep (Fred) or whatever for that territory was to call me back. Apparently Fred not returning calls is exactly how he taught his staff...no call back from Management or the staff at this place. Go with another service. These people are NOT worth your drama...and the service sucks.

the sales people were all friendly and kind, however, they made sales transactions that would not be honored by sprint. Sprint refused to waive line access fees which were supposed to be waived as part of a promotion for signing up for a certain level data plan. Billing thru sprint is BS, and support is non existent. When attempts were made to contact the Fone Zone, they would not answer their calls, and provided no assistance. STAY AWAY FROM SPRINT!!!!! Addendum 06/09/2015. Store Manager Ingrid, has gone above and beyond what would be expected to resolve this issue for me, although she still cannot change my impression of Sprint Cellular at this point, she has shown that the Fone Zone in McHenry does care about their customers and will do whatever they can to improve the situation. I wish to thank Ingrid for the work she has done to assist in the problem I am having with Sprint. As for the evaluation for the Fone Zone, it is 4 stars, as for Sprint, lets just say the jury is still out and the verdict is yet to be determined.

Let me begin with the fact that I am the GM for 3 High End Retail Locations. I will NEVER applaud an employee for doing their job, simply because they are paid to do their job. Having said that when an individual demonstrates actions above an beyond the expected realm of employment, they should be acknowledged. James Je, is one of those Outstanding employees. Without going thru all the boring details, I spend a good part of two days and in excess of 7 calls to the Sprint Phone number on my statement, to no avail. While on hold to Sprint (this was a 33 min hold until I hung up), I E-Mailed James to see if he could be of any assistance. I subsequently hung up on Sprint. The NEXT Day, I received a phone call from James, explaining he could detect my frustration in the E-Mail, and had taken upon himself to call and get the situation rectified. Any employee that is willing to go "Above and Beyond" their job description is the Greatest asset to a company. Thank You James. Skip

My 2 month old phone quit working so I take it back to the store. They said that there was a small crack in face (dont know what happened and barely could see it) causing it to not work so they wouldnt warranty it. So I have to pay $150 deductible to get a new phone but cant get one at the store. They will send me a new one. I work out of my house and need my phone but they didnt care. So I am now on day 2 waiting for my phone. Only reason I have sprint in the first place is because US cellular pulled out of the area and I had to switch. Very unhappy with both at this point.

I have never written a review before and I have to say I am so disappointed with the customer "service" of the McHenry store... The "team" there wanted nothing to do with helping me today. I got excuse after excuse and even a little attitude. They sent me on a wild goose chase all over Lake, Cook and McHenry county when it was as simple as activating a new SIM card which I had already gotten from the Apple Store THEY sent me to... So so disappointed. If youre going to use Sprint, go to the Fox lake location. Courtney in Fox lake helped me in less than 3 minutes.

We recently switched from AT&T to sprint for the unlimited data. During our transaction we were misinformed as to the pricing and they lost the AT&T phones that we traded in as part of the buy-out. Repeated visits/calls to the store have yielded no results and promised callbacks have not happened. This is the worst service that I have ever experienced at any retailer/service provider in my life.

I have for the most part received great service at this location. If you go into the store half cocked and treat people rudely that is the service you will probably get in return. I am in the store enough usually purchasing new phones for my business and have seen at minimum 2 to 3 very rude people right from the get go. Some times you just have to have some patience. Fred and Dottie are great

Brittany was friendly, helpful, and personable. She made it easy to upgrade my phone when the process is usually kind of a pain in the ass. Also I got offered a discount on my phone case for leaving a review, but I turned the offer down and decided to leave a review anyways just cause of how good she was. You go Brittany, Sprint as a provider kinda sucks but you were pretty damn good.

The best experience I have ever had with Sprint in the 9 years of service with Sprint. Pauline set every thing up, and explained everything I would need to know. Pauline went above and beyond to assure that everything with my knowledge about the phone, and the account, was understood. Verry satisfied with my experience. Looking forward to returning. Stopped in tonight to "look around" at some different phones (not realizing the store was almost closing). Pauline was super helpful & sweet. She didnt rush us at all & went out of her way to help us, get us the best deals & made sure that we left the store as raving fans! Thanks for your knowledge, sense of humor & wonderful customer service!

We had great service yesterday. The new assistant manager as well as the two young men working were knowledgeable and quick to answer the questions we had. They were all talkative and funny and made the time spent there upgrading our phones actually enjoyable. We have been sprint customers for over 10 years and thank you for all your help.
