This place needs major improvement. The worst store on the Northwest side of Chicago. No one ever knows what theyre doing in this store. I ask a simple question: when do these bagels expire? Its not rocket science. They had a big meeting about it with 5 different employees. No one knew the answer. So the young woman at the customer service desk named Margaret said I dont know. Can I have the item for free since no one knows this very perplexing and difficult question? "Without the approval of the manager I cant do that." The item cost $2.50. I know for a fact the customer service desk clerk does have the authority to do this. Mr. Butera, pay people more money and train them to put out items with expiration dates. It is illegal to not have an expiration date on an American product. What if I get sick? Should I then sue your ass? I can purchase better quality stuff at Costco. I have asked these questions and theres no way I would leave the store without an answer or it would be free. This store should be rated -0.

I almost hate to go here and support this store, but it is so close to my house and they have a decent food selection and good prices. However, it is full of a bunch of lazy teenage cashiers. They never greet you when you enter the line, and they dont even tell you how much your groceries cost! The other day they rolled their eyes at me when I brought my own grocery bags. Whoever is doing the hiring needs to be reconsidered. There are a couple middle-aged women who are fine though. I also see what appears to be the general store manager inappropiately touching the young female cashiers on their neck and shoulders, and whispering behind their ears in front of customers. They need to do something to save this store, like hiring people who merit a job!

In my way home I said to stop to do my groceries. Ive never stopped to this place, I usually go to Fresh Farm on Central/ Touhy. I still dont understand how this hole is still in business when other better stores are around. Maybe everybody stops once in their way home. examples: garlic bread was old and a big joke, looked for poppy seed role which is a must in this neighborhood not found. I personally did not like it. Maybe you do.

Meat should be colder and wrapped better.I am tired of bloody hands and nothing there to wipe your hands.Jewel wraps it better and the food seems fresher.yes butera is cheaper but your taking a chance going there. Some of the cashiers dont seem to want to bag the groceries their to busy staring into space.

I stopped by deli to buy some salads and in this time a lady took some green olives with her hands (no gloves ) from refrigerator floor and put the back in the salad and cleaned her hands from your shoulder and go back on the kitchen....that made my Christmas day and their salads.

Great grocery store. The meats are awesome. Awesome prices too. Has a great deli and great produce. The meat guys are just too nice. What delicious meats and options. The young guy is of the friendliest employees too. Great energy and just always makes it a great experience

Today I went to the store butera to this one at Nagle and received the WORST SERVICE EVER I was very disappointed with the service I literally had to wait an hour to get my food checked out in the cash register because of a coupn that they dodnt know to use. Very upset

SSTTRRAANNGGEE place, horrible produce, but some of the best cheeses and Italian Meats around. There are always lines and it feels like they havent updated the interior since the 1970s but if you go for specific things, you get an AWSOME deal.

This is a great place to get cheap meats from the butcher and deli and often beats its competitors like Walmart and Jewel Osco by a wide margin. Theres also a wide and diverse ethnic section with plenty of groceries you cant find elsewhere.
