I love going to petco because Im only a child and my dog loves it too. The only kind of serious problem/bad experience was when we used to take my (used to be) puppy to get groomed and trimmed, we went to pick him up and it looked like a 5 year had cut his not that an "experienced" person trimmed him. My mom also paid very large amounts for him to be cut when he became older than 6 months. My mother said that last time she got my dog, Sebastian, groomed at petco it cost $57. We now go to a place called lucky dog that owned by Stephanie Sams on ridge street in downtown alton. I highly recommend petco for supplies, animals, and everything else besides their grooming. For grooming I highly recommend Lucky Dog. At Lucky Dog we pay $15-$25 depending on what were getting done.

I was absolutely sick after seeing how horrible the grooming staff were treating the dogs that I walked out without letting them touch my dog. The one girl was pulling on the little pugs leg so hard that he was yelping in pain and the other girl was yelling at a lab for pulling away while his nails were being done. I will NEVER return to a Petco for grooming. I used to love Paige at the Creve Coeur, MO location! She was so patient snd wonderful with my dogs. I was in shock with the way they treated the dogs in Edwardsville, IL. My dogs were abused before I got them. They do not need to be abused by groomers. I hope this is seen by management and this issue is resolved.

I have very good things to say... As a bio-tope aqua-scape artist and experienced fish keeper. I must say they have a wide selection of live plants that are snail free. They readily answer questions when someone is avalible and know the technical points of aqua and marine fish keeping. I give them four stars for the Madison county area. Strong points are plants, fish health, and fish rescue and resale program. please acknowledge fish rescue instead of fish dumping or flushing. The release of non native aquatic species into the wild is dangerous to our local Ecosystem. Thank you for reading this review yours truly the fish keeper.

Ive been in this Petco for supplies and have never had a problem with anyone, the staff has always been helpful and friendly, I ask questions and they always have an appropriate answer. I will tell you this if I ever had a problem with anyone I would tell the manager and let him know!!! If you dont let them know then nothing ever get done. I go to the other Pet store and dont have a problem with them either. Thank you, Petco keep up the good work!!! I love the fresh treats foe the dogs! I only wish you had them for cats!!! Thing about, it might be in the future, let the home office know!!! Id buy them!!! Thanks!!!

I dont understand why the managers here make this Petco so inhospitable. Some days they dont even turn on all the lights! No one has ever greeted me at the store. No employee has ever asked me if I need help. Its always cold. Everything is overpriced. And they cashiers always ask for donations at checkout instead of setting donation jars at the registers. I dont recommend this store to anyone. You can get better prices and better service just about anywhere else.

Edwardsville shops in general are a bit nicer. For a pet store it seems pretty clean. It actually has cat supplies which is nice. Bathrooms were clean too. Its nice seeing a different selection of products from other competing stores. Staff was OK. Smiled, but the youth/inexperienced aspect shows through time to time when it comes to general customer service, but they are trained well enough to answer questions about your pets, which is useful =).

Brianna Domescik is the best groomer Ive ever been to! My dogs are never rushed through, so I know shes taking the time to keep them comfortable during their stay. And they always look AMAZING! Theres also a worker named Hailee who was the first person to find a treat my picky foster dogs liked! Knows all the products VERY well and knows a lot about nutrition! It feels like this is the best this Petco has been running in YEARS

Ive always been pleased with the care and attitude of everyone who has cared for both my dog and the one that my used to have. My dog comes away happy and looking so nice. He is getting along in age and they are very gentle with him and he looks forward to his grooming visits. Good job Petco.

Vetco was an hour late. A vet with no practice affiliation makes people uncomfortable especially when she starts out giving Benadryl shots to any animal getting a shot, just in case of an allergic reaction. What other vet would do that? She alarmed quite a few people.

There were dead fish in multiple tanks. There was a pile of dead goldfish in two tanks. At least 20 dead fish in each tank. When we asked an employee about it, he shrugged his shoulders and said "I dont know". He did not seem to care.

Friendly staff. Normally able to answer any questions I have. They almost always have the supplies for all my animals in stock. They can special order a wide range of fish in, if youre looking for something they dont have on hand.

The employees are helpful when needed and not pushy when they are not. The store is clean. The dogs for adoption are never too loud unlike the ones at their competitor. The prices and brand selection are really good.

Great friendly service. Staff is very knowledgeable about saltwater marine and reef tanks. They have good saltwater animals selection. Better saltwater selection than Petco in Fairview Heights.

I like Petco but it seems as if the selection of cat food has been reduced. I have one cat I didnt need an 18 pound bag of dry cat food but they didnt pave a smaller bag of Pro Plan.
