Dont take your dogs here for grooming! Especially if you have a large breed. We made an appointment for bathing our newfie. When I brought him in for the appointment, the manager (i assume she was the manager, she was definately the shift leader) starting making excuses as to why she couldnt honor the appt. First, she said she couldnt bath him because het had some matted hair behind his ears..and that they could only do a full groom for a $20 upcharge. This didnt make sense to me, but i agreed anyhow. Then she said i would have to agree to let them shave to the skin around his ears where some matted hair was. I agreed only if they kept it to a minimum. Then she made a comment that her staff was only allowed 15 minutes to bath him( which was obviously irrelevant at this point) since i had already agreed to a full groom. She then went on to say that they didnt have time to do a full groom and i would have to reschedule. At this point, i had no interest in leaving my dog with a place that obviously didnt want him or my business. We take our newfie to petco in edwardsville at least once a month and have never had an issue. In fact, they love our newfie and typically go above and beyond for him. Please consider this before giving any of your business to this petsmart.

Amazing place to get your Guinea Pigs!!! I checked out Guinea Pigs in 5 stores in Illinois and Kansas. Long story. The Guineas at this store were not only healthy but incredibly friendly and unbelievably CALM! Once home the Cavys adjusted within a single day. These are young Guineas and one is so inquisitive that within a day it came out to inspect the brush we use to sweep up the daily cage droppings, sticks its head through the bars to greet my kids, stands still for petting, and takes treats from their hands. This was not my experience from any of the other stores whose Guineas were much more stressed and less accustomed to humans. Someone at this store and/or the breeder must be doing an amazing job of gentling these Guineas before selling them. Excellent store to get your Cavies if you want them to be good with children.

Petsmart is a very good place to bring your dog for grooming. We are a corporation which means we HAVE to follow some strict standards. This is to protect your pet and I enjoy working here and I love each and every pet. while some may be challenging I love them all no matter what. The pet trainers here are amazing. After speaking to other trainers in the area this was the only place I found that wouldnt force me to use a pinch collar or shock collar on my dogs. After two sessions now I have seen a big improvement in my dogs walking habits and less barking. Thanks Petsmart

Excellent. After an appointment locally in the Carlinville area fell through. I called Pet Smart in Glen Carbon. Should have called them first. Katie answered the phone and said to bring my siberian huskie, Allie right in. The hour drive was so worth it!!! Excellent crew!!! Thanks Katie :)
