I always found Books A Million a little overpriced and many books do not have prices listed, which is annoying, but not to the extent that I wouldnt find myself frequenting the store. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable, but the straw that broke this camels back is when they wouldnt even exchange a simple $5 Christmas gift that was broken, because I didnt have a receipt. There needs to be a little wiggle room built into their return / exchange policy around Christmas and to not even allow an exchange cost them my future business. After being told no to the exchange tonight, I found a book that I liked and purchased it on Amazon while standing in the store. Trivial, but still made me feel better.

I love books a million, and despite the fact that they are one of the best bookstores in the area I have to dock them a star because of the stupid scam they support with magazine services. While its legally legitimate, the magazine service they "offer" when you check out is provided by a deceitful company who uses your forgetfulness to their advantage by causing you to wait a few months and then spring a huge bill on you for magazines you were getting "for free". If this happens to you, call books a million (do not call the magazine services impenetrable automated customer service) they will try to cancel it for you.

Teriible. I was there and noticed a book that was on the shelf Staked by Kevin Hearne that wasnt suppose to be out. I informed one of their employees about it and all he had to say was "not according to their system" when I in fact know that its not suppose to be out till the 26th of January as Ive been waiting for it. As Im typing this the book is sitting on their new arrival shelf on this day January 24th at 2:41pm. Im going to try to buy it and when they say I cant Im going to point out what I was told.

I gave three stars because the card catalog computers are locked out to the public so you have to hunt down someone to help you use a simple computer card catalog hello not many people are that stupid also the books are set up in genres that are to vague and the genres are alphabetical by the author so if you like a certain type of book it takes to long to find it in all the other books

Staff is very friendly. Great place for a book lover. I love the selection of books they have. Disappointed that the true crime section has grown smaller, but I am overall happy with shopping here. The discount card is worth the money! It helps me save a lot every time I shop.

Exactly what you expect from a big box book store. All the latest titles well displayed with lots of clearance items in a cavern with a few college kids staffing. Too many toys and impulse items for my taste, hard to get kids to focus on picking out books.

We love to browse through books. Its a family favorite. It is easy to loose track of time here. Maybe even easier than in a casino. They have a really good coffee bar and seating available.
