Statement from my mom: "Its a wonderful place to sit, get a cup of coffee and read a book. I love going here because theyre one of the few places in Houma that stays open past 9 or 10 where you can relax in a quiet atmosphere. I went there one evening, got a cup of coffee, and went sat out on the fenced-in patio. There was one other gentleman out there on his computer that Ive seen out here quite often. The time passed quickly while I sat, using the free WiFi provided. 10 pm came and passed. By about 10:15 I went to the door and it was locked. It was the only way out. The patio is fenced in and has no exit or gate. I caught the attention of a worker inside and told him I need to get out. He said, "were closed." I said, "I have to jump the fence?" He said, "yes." I knew I could get over the fence. It isnt very high, but we were never warned that they were about to close. I thought they closed at 11pm. Im 59 years old, only 53" and not looking to jump over fences. My night ended with me climbing over the Books-a-Million fence. 10PM! Remember that they close at this time some evenings and wont let you in no matter what."

Nothing is ever in order, one book will be in three different sections of an aisle, as a regular occurrence. Selection is limited. The bathrooms are always atrocious. While cafe staff is pleasant, everyone on the sales floor has been rude. It feels like they know you have no other bookstore to go to, so they dont care about keeping up the store.

They close at 10pm. Went in at 9 and at 9:10 they announced that it was 9:30 and they would be closing, etc. At 9:15 they made another announcement... that it was 9:45 please make your final selections. I left. Never going there again.

I like the variety of books and all the cute fun stuff they have. I feel like im at a book fair in school again. If they dont have a book, the employees are always happy to order it for you.

This place has so many books and they dont mind if you sit and read them but they do mind if you spill things on the books so dont do that. For example.

Wide selection of books and geek merchandise. The attached coffee shop is a plus. I go here often when Im in town.
