Great variety and very nice service! You can get a nice price on meats and fish that are really fresh. But of course, theres a great variety of Vietnamese and other Asian specialties! From homemade style desserts to a great variety of packaged noodles, theres A LOT of stuff here! Definitely check out their canned exotic fruits like jackfruit, longan, lychee, etc.! I tend to keep an eye on my stuff though when I visit because it apparently is an issue here (They have a wall where they have pics from their cameras of baddies in the act!). Avoid the bathroom, as they dont seem to clean it on a regular basis! On my visits, I have noticed many customers appear to be coming in from the suburbs, and I would say its definitely worth the trip! ^^

This supermarket will meet all your Asian grocery shopping needs. From sauces, to meats and vegetables, to snack and condiments, this supermarket is clearly focused on the Asian demographic. It does not disappoint as it houses a good variety of goods so you should be able to find everything you need to cook up an Asian storm. One funny thing I noticed here is that they dont have eggs nor milk. I guess Asians dont use these items too much in their cooking. They close at 8pm everyday, which is a little early. So remember to do your grocery shopping before you go have dinner, otherwise you will be disappointed (like me on numerous occasions because I forgot their opening hours).

Used to really like this store and I overlooked quite a few things but I cant anymore. 1. New $10 minimum for credit card transactions. Before it was $5. 2. Cashier with blue glasses needs some valium. Always snatching your money, card etc...has a serious attitude problem. Why is she a cashier? 3. The butcher, fish and produce areas smell really bad and really unclean. Wash your produce well. I think the cashier was the worst part, because I have been through her line more than once and I get the same nasty attitude. So its not that shes having a bad day. After leaving her check out line Im left with the feeling that I dont belong there. So I wont go anymore.

If you are not Asian or familiar with Asian culture- beware. Most employees dont speak English, so if you arent fluent in Vietnamese or Chinese, youre in trouble. Small space= small aisles and pushy people. But there is a bright side! Come here for your Asian foods- Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean. I come here primarily for Chinese food- noodles, rice, snacks, and Chinese veggies. I havent had any of their meat or seafood, but thats because I can get that elsewhere. Weekends are pretty packed so if youre claustrophobic, come at a non-rush hour.

Good selection and good prices for Asian groceries (dry goods, fresh meats/seafood, fresh vegetables, and a decent amount of kitchen equipment) The store is generally pretty well lit, organized, and clean. I trust buying fresh meat and vegetables here. They do accept credit cards but I believe there is a minimum (forget since I usually pay cash). A few of my checkout experiences are not exceptional, but it might have just been that person or just that 1-2 times as I have had a positive experience most of the time.

This market is HUGE, spacious, bright, clean, has pretty much everything youre looking for, and it is cheap!! I ran into some family friends in the store who come all the way from Lombard once a week just to do their groceries here....its that cheap! Another plus is that they have a parking lot, however, it can get so packed that it causes a mini traffic jam on Broadway. Although, that depends on when you go....weekends are horrendous. I went there during a weeknight and everything was smooth sailing!

Pretty good selection of Asian groceries for Vietnamese cooking. Actually, there are lots of other ingredients for general Asian cooking. There are lots of herbs and spices available. I went to pick up Sichuan peppercorn to make some boiled fish. I also got one of those stainless steel sink strainers. I very much enjoy using that for my sink. Paid about $5 for both items. Update 6/10/15 Went to buy some ingredients for banh mi. They have everything you need! (for asian cooking..Vietnamese)

Bought quit a bit of produce and was very unhappy. mangos were black inside when we got home and cut them open. Meat packages were outdated from their freezer. Tried calling Tammy the manager. They give me all the excuses in the world. In addition to this they took almost 5 days to call me back. Their prepackaged food are also made from outside unlicensed vendors that bring them in so are sometimes outdated as well.

I have been here only once on Nov-20-2016 and swapped my credit card. I guess they copied my card. Because today, Mar-21-2016, exact 4 months later of that day. I find a unauthorized transaction in pending "MAR21 TAI NAM FOOD MARKET $16.31". I called my credit card service, they blocked this transaction and told me it is not a in person but a online transaction. So be ware of this market and your credit card!

My to-go place for Asian groceries. Its not that big but you can pretty much find anything youll need for Asian cooking. The prices are inexpensive. They have fresh fish and meats you can purchase and even live crab! The staff arent that friendly but they get the job done. The parking lot is somewhat small but you can usually find an open space--weekend mornings are the worst though--very very crowded!

Good to find things you cant find at other stores , mostly hardware like phin filters and kitchen supplies. Employees are rude and prices are often not marked correctly. Check your receipt (even if they probably wont give you your money back). Unless you really need a new mandolin slicer , cooking chopsticks, or phin filter, youd be better off going to Golden Pacific on Broadway near Berwyn.

Ive just moved to the neighborhood and one of the reasons was because of this little grocery store that has everything, including pots, pans, dishes, and great food! They even had a decent selection of noodles and fresh crabs... While Im not the greatest at understanding all of the food available, I do love coming in, even if just to look around and see whats new.

Good variety of asian food, it is big, the place is as clean as a chinese store could be, so you can imagine the food. I always recomend to look for a korean market instead, almost sane food, good price and much more quality and cleanliness. I love these places though, the mess of food and live animals is unique

This is full-on Asian. Its likes youve stepped out of Chicago and into Vietnam or Cambodia. You can pretty much find anything you need. Prices are pretty good. The parking lot cant be a serious clusterf**k. Id avoid it all together and park on the street, its worth a small parking charge and/or walk.

Reminds me of the many Asian supermarkets in Queens, NY, but just a little bit dirtier (and the butcher block not quite as extensive). But, I still appreciate an Asian supermarket that stocks everything I need, is fairly cheap, and is closer than Chinatown.

This is the place where I visit most of the time to buy groceries. They carry fresh fish, pork meat and other vegetables. I obviously recommend others to visit this place if they are looking for an Asian items to cook.
