I disappointed a bit by the display and sales staff. I usually like crate and barrel stuff for easy and decent quality (even though it is not high quality stuff, they carry decent and solid quality products) Maybe I compare this retail location to the one in NYC?...I didnt feel like it was not easy to find things and not enough categories or products they carry.. Store itself is big with 5 stories building include furniture sections. Sales staffs are ok...not very friendly (last time, I purchase something, I had to wait longer even though it was my turn to check out while she wanted to help another customer behind me) or too weirdly friendly (meaning, she asked me "I think you are pregnant." was her first greeting to me...Yes, I am pregnant..but you dont need to greet with it...weird).

Purchased a sofa and ottomon from C&B expecting a quality product. Terrible experience from the quality of the sofa (back pain in a week) to the entire delivery / customer service aspects. Took FOREVER for them to wrap what is evidently a couple two-by-fours and a slinky in cheap fabric. Delivery guys wouldnt make the effort so i had to pay a 3rd party for someone to literally help me walk it up the stairs (dont be fooled by free delivery). So uncomfortable Ive spend a month on the phone with at least 3 different people who have come to the conclusion i should pay them to take it back. GARBAGE product, GARBAGE service. C&B may be good for cheap nick nacks, stay away from them for major purchases.

The items here are incredibly pretty. If you feel like spending a little bit more for home products that are high on quality and aesthetics, this is the place to be. Their vases are intricate and gorgeous, their furniture has clean, elegant lines and their linen feels incredibly silky smooth. The place is very well lit, making everything look perfect. The place is also very well laid out so you wont get lost. If youre looking to buy some home ware to impress special guests, like a dinner cutlery set, you can be sure to find something here.

This is a beautiful store, and Crate & Barrels flagship. They have so many great kitchen appliances and accessories and great selection of furniture on the upper floors. Five years after my wedding, I finally selected new silverware and picked the Tuscany flatware which is very heavy and shiny. The only thing that i do not like is that it says "made in Vietnam" on the back of the knives - not classy!

My girlfriend and I picked out a couch (two seat and a chaise) for her new place and picked a delivery date. Everything was fine until they informed us that, even though we had already paid for it, they had shipped out our chaise piece to another customer, and we would not be able to get our full couch for another month. Considering their prices, their operations and customer service are a joke.

To me this store is a good place to shop for home accesaries, but not for furniture --- it is pricy and limited selections(I love my friends but I hate to get into the situation that any two have the same sofa or same coffee table. You know what I mean? Think how embarrassing it would be that you show up in a party wearing the same dress as the other girl standing by the cocktail table...

This store is amazing! I really enjoy the different levels of the store and taking the escalator from one floor to the next. Everything is so clean and sparkling. The employees are so pleasant and eager to please. The store is very busy, especially on the weekends, and i prefer to go during the week when it is less crowded. All in all, it is a great experience.

I like exploring this well-appointed store, the floor to ceiling windows and multiple levels make me want to equip my house with the latest kitchen gadgets and decor trends. We registered at the North Ave store but came here for some registry adjustments and were well taken care of by the staff. All in all, this is one of my top places for home goods in the city.

Diane, Jennifer and the store Manager-Nanette made my experience at Crate and Barrel so fantastic I came back the next day! Kudos to Nanette for knowing how to manage such a large store and so many people and to Diane and Jennifer for knowing exactly what customer service is about! An amazing store with amazing people. This Crate and Barrel location on Michigan Avenue is huge! Its even bigger than the location on North Avenue which I didnt know would be possible LOL. With such an awesome gigantic store right off the Magnificent Mile this Crate & Barrel location has everything youll need it or want for home decor.

I think it is a little pricey store but you can buy some quality things here. Especially I do like their choice of cookware, kitchenware and tableware. And its conveniently located among other shops, so I always stop to check whats new while shopping for clothes etc.

Daniel, took way too long to check me out. I bought 4 small things and he took 15 minutes to wrap them and process my payment. He was a lovely conversationalist, buy it seemed he could only work or talk at once and preferred the latter.

I love what they have in the store but it is not the price I am willing to fork out. It may be an illusion on my part since it is on Michigan Ave but you can find much of what they have online at a cheaper price point.

What is not to love about a 5 story Crate & Barrel?! The store is laid out by floor so it is very easy to shop. The elevator services all 5 floors, and the escalators service floors 1-4. Very well organized, and clean!
