I have other tattoos, but Chicago Ink Tattoo and Body Piercing is definitely the best tattooing experience I ever had. First of all, yes, the shop is very clean. My first tattoo at Chicago Ink was with Luis in December of 2015. I got lettering done on my chest, and I was very happy with the quality of tattoo Luis gave me, as well as his professionalism, kindness, he didnt rush me and he wanted me to get the exact tattoo I wanted, the price he quoted was very fair, and he was even very nice to my friend who went with me to get my tattoo. I knew if I wanted to get another tattoo I would return to Chicago Ink... and I did. When I wanted to get a realistic tiger on my shoulder in dedication to my father, I chose Luis again, as I saw in his portfolio that he does great work with photo realism animals. I wasnt disappointed. Luis remembered me from our last tattoo, and he was the same friendly, patient, nice, professional person that I met a few months earlier, and I knew I made the right decision in coming back to Luis and Chicago Ink. He quoted me a VERY reasonable price for this tattoo, especially for needing two sittings. For other tattoo places, I could have easily paid over $1,000 for the 10.5 hours of tattooing he did on me, but he wanted me to get the best tattoo he could give me, but he did not charge me to the second for the work he wanted to do on me to make the tattoo the best. That shows me he really takes PRIDE in his work, its not just collecting money with keeping the person in the chair as long as you can. I was extremely happy with my tattoo and video of it is even posted on their Facebook. My next tattoo, two weeks later, were some flowers dedicated to my mom and aunts, and this time Nestor was my artist. I think Luis still would have done a great job with the flowers, but a specific flower stood out to me in Nestors portfolio, and I wanted that style for my flowers. Again, I wasnt disappointed. Nestor was friendly, accommodating, professional, nice to my wife, and even when he had to reschedule our first appointment, he had the courtesy to call me, not text or email, but he gave me the respect of calling me and working out a day we could reschedule, and he even came in on his day off to accommodate me since he had to reschedule. This is one of the many examples of the EXCELLENT customer service you will get a Chicago Ink. I was quoted another VERY reasonable price for my flowers tattoo, again which could have been over $1,000 at another shop for two sittings and 11.5 hours of tattooing, but Nestor again put in the time he needed to give me exactly what I wanted, and a high quality tattoo, without overcharging. Just another example that these artists take PRIDE in their tattoos, youre not just a number, but they do care about giving great tattoos that you, as well as themselves, can be proud to show off. I was another very satisfied customer with my third tattoo from Chicago Ink. Even the people that didnt tattoo me were very friendly, as they would come over and say hello to you, compliment the tattoo you were getting, and just make you feel welcome to be in their shop. Thanks to Omar, Ruben, Rob, and Pedro, and the piercers Rossmery and Italo for being so welcoming. Of course special thanks to Luis and Nestor for giving me amazing works of art that I will be proud to show off, and have already been getting multiple compliments! I live about an hour away, and I have been making the trip to Chicago Ink about every other week for the past two months, and now that my tattoos are complete, Ill miss getting to see all these people as they make you really feel like youre a friend when youre in their shop, not just a random person there doing business. I would make this drive again in the future, without a doubt, as this is the ONLY place I would get a tattoo from now on. If you truly want a clean tattoo shop, with very talented artists, friendly people, and outstanding customer service, you have to go to Chicago Ink.

Disappointed - Around 6 months ago took our daughter to this shop to get her ears pierced. We brought her there because we had heard that places that use a gun are not as clean. So before bringing her there we called and confirmed it would not be a gun. I was told needles would be used. They used a gun to do her ears, not what they told us on the phone. We also asked what the metal composition the earrings would be because we were afraid of issues with metal allergies. (My wife has issues with many types of metal earrings) We were told surgical steel would be used. When we got there they asked us to pick earrings, we stated we needed surgical steel like were told on the phone would be used. So fast forward - our daughters ears were not healing 100%, we figured there must be some impurity causing the long heal time. So we ordered some 24K gold plated earrings to try that since we were under the impression the starters she had were surgical steel, well the ones we removed were gold and I cannot find any gold colored surgical steel. So odds are her healing issues were due to impurities in the metal they used. So based on our experience I cant recommend this place. 2 key items we tried to account for were not what we were told. We went here (and paid more) over the local mall because we thought we would get a different experience. Not the case. I do have to say that everyone we dealt with was very friendly and professional. And that the place was clean. Attached is a photo of the earrings we purchased that we were told were surgical steel.
