I love this place. I brought in a photograph of a custom "through the viewfinder" tattoo, after feeling rejected and defeated @ 2 other tattoo parlors--one that smelled like hepatitis, the other, DG tattoos in Downers Grove (the old Grateful Dead hippie lady was rude, insisting, "this CANT BE DONE!"). Well, I finally trekked back toward my neighborhood, after seeing the reviews on here, and went to AA in Oak Park. The shop smells so good, and you can tell that its clean. I know that might sound random, but after my first 2 experiences (where employees were smoking cigarettes inside while tattooing), I felt immediately comfortable. The manager took one look at my idea, and worked with me on it, completely understood what I wanted, was courteous, kind, asked for my number, my name, shook my hand, etc. In fact, the entire staff was attentive and funny--even snarky, but in a good way. Manny was my tattoo artist. Although his English was limited, he was so sweet, and the entire staff was accommodating and funny, that I barely noticed any pain. He was meticulous, and made sure that he was doing exactly what I wanted. An added bonus--they played Pink Floyds "The Wall" in its entirety, instead of something grating, like Slayer or some other crap metal band. I dont even know how long it took, but its now day 5 and my tattoo is healing really nicely. I will totally be back for another custom piece. Clean, sweet, awesome guys/parlor.

First off let me say I went here because of all the great reviews that I saw. I went to a previous shop to have a tattoo done on my wrist and it cost me $45 and still looks amazing. Went here with my best friend to get one word (believe) on my middle finger. He said normally it would be $65 but he charged me $55. Outrageous for the simple word I got but I went ahead on because I didnt have anywhere else to get to. He gave great service and it was over fast. Too fast if you ask me. When it started to heal parts of the word disappeared. I no longer have the last two letters of the word and the b is missing the bottom. Also there is no dot above the I. It looks like I have the word Belle. When I called he said he would charge me $10 to fix it. Normally I would say fine but no not after I have paid $55 and I should have only had to come once. That is outrageous to me. Although he did warn me that finger tattoos fade it should not have faded in two weeks. It just wasnt done properly. Needless to say I will not be returning to get it fixed or any future services. I will just head to someone else. Your experience may be better than mine but for the money that I spent I didnt receive satisfaction.

While it is a little scary getting there, as the area is rather rough, its definitely worth it! I just got my septum pierced today by Lissette and she was amazing. She explained everything thoroughly and told me what she was doing as she did it step by step. After the piercing I came out a little light headed and she was extremely helpful with the process and had me lay back down and propped my legs up and waited until I was okay. Shes super sweet and has some funny stories to tell! If you get a piercing I recommend her for sure.

I got my ears pierced about a month ago and waited to do my review to really feel my piercing out. I received thorough information on not only the piercing process, but how to clean it, how to choose proper jewelry and the timeline for healing. I paid a bit more than I was expecting, but considering the ease of healing, I have no issues with it. Very professional and chill atmosphere. Even received good information about my skin condition and how it could affect my ability to get a tattoo. Very happy with my experience.

I went in today for the monroe piercing, even though I wanted the medusa (just learned the name of that) but family convinced me it would look weird, lol , and charlie was super nice, professional, and patient (I was kinda nervous, even though Ive had several piercings and gauges). He even offered to see if the hole in my tongue was still open (and stretched it) and charge only for the jewelry. I would highly recommend this place. I am definitely going here again!

They are WONDERFUL! I went to the one on 24th and kedize their place was clean and sanitize. My piercer charlie was amazing I just got my tongue pierce this past tuesday and it didnt even hurt he made me feel very comfortable and relax and for a good price and the type of barbells being used compare to other known tattoo and piercing shops. I give them two thumbs up! Keep up the good work ageless art and thank you for making me feel comfortable.

I had a great tattoo experience here. I went in with no idea what i wanted. But the owner googled ideas for me until i was satisfied. I ended up getting a emo looking teddy bear, which he tweaked himself, it was cute. He charged me $150 which is the professional price and it hasnt faded. It still looks grest. Thanks guys...
