This is typically my first stop when Im looking for an old book. They usually have what Im looking for and they have an inventory of what they have so I dont have to spend a lot of time looking for it if I am in a rush. The staff have always greeted me as I come in to buy or even to browse the shelves and it is very hard to leave without buying something. There are so many books I always find something I want to read. I saw another review where they were complaining about the prices, but if you take into account shipping it evens out, and I would rather give my money to a small business than a company over the Internet.

This is one of the few places in town I can come in, browse alone undisturbed, and leave with some interesting finds. They are also so gracious - if I pay for shipping, they send items to a friend of mine who is incarcerated (who can only receive items from a business or some other organization). Some items are a little more expensive considering their level of wear/used status and market value, but depending on what treasures you seek, it can be worth it.

Jane Addams Book Shop is OK.The staff can be a broad range of rude overtly apathetic to fake nice.I have learned not to come here for the customer service.The selection is pretty good though.Recently I sold books here and that experience was surprisingly not painful.A man who looked like James Liptons doppelganger kindly sorted through my books & offered to dispose of the ones that had no resale value.All in all,you can find interesting books here.

Its true that they have a large selection and the inventory is fairly well organized for the volume they have, but the prices are ridiculous. Actually, thats probably why they maintain such a large inventory. For instance, a book that I could easily find used on amazon for $4 they were selling (in poorer condition) for $9. Its a nice place to browse, I just wish it was a reasonable place to buy from.

This kind of help is why I love small bookstores.I wrote down the books I didnt purchase yet, and will go back to get them once I finally make it through the two collections I did buy.Id definitely endorse any of Landons staff picks you see on the shelves since he puts a lot of thought into it.

Wow. This is probably the best bookstore Ive been to so far.SO MANY BOOKS on MULTIPLE FLOORS. Woo-hew. I purchase several used books for under $10 each when their original price was $20+. Cant wait to read them, and cant wait to come back for more!

This is a great mainstay for the community! The people are great and helpful, you can get store credit when you bring books in and they have a great selection of used books and greeting cards! You have to go, you will not be disappointed!

Huge selection of books and an even wider selection of authors. This is a spot that I always take my out of town friends to, just to walk around their huge collection. Stop in to find a fun new read and enjoy that wonderful old book smell.

You can get lost in here for hours!! If youre looking for something specific, youre better off elsewhere. But if youre just looking for a good book or something interesting with nothing specific in mind, this place is fantastic!

This place has three floors of books. THREE FLOORS! They have everything from old timey postcards, to first editions, to graphic novels. This is an awesome place to be. And that book smell will take you to the moon.

The selection is great, as they seem to have a lot of great books. But the prices are subpar. As someone who goes to used book stores to every new place I go, I found this one to be the most expensive yet.
