Poetry selection is kind of dismal, but thats to be expected outside of niche small bookstores. You can find the classics and a few big names but thats pretty much it. Friendly staff, easy going, occasionally good deals. My only complaint is what might be part of a corporate shakedown to increase "customer engagement." I was approached while clearly browsing and talking to my husband three times in under 5-10 minutes. It was like every time I moved to a new section, someone was approaching me. Every time staff came across us, a second round would start - an attempt to converse or recommending a book, trying to strike up rapport. Which is not in and of itself a bad thing. Not at all. But it feels so forced and uncomfortable. Im sure they are all absolutely lovely people and they work incredibly hard, but I hate being checked on and loathe forced constant contact with strangers. I like to disappear into a corner for an hour, and I cant do that if someones always popping by to see if I "need help finding anything." 5 stars for wonderful folks who are just trying their best 3 stars for annoying sales tactics that probably came from a detached CEO If you want to hunt for some solid new releases and Bargain Books, go here. Just know theyll be VERY SOCIAL. If you like a homey and quiet vibe where you can float the stacks and find some obscure items, try Jane Addams in downtown Champaign. Street parking is not always available but Ive been going there for years.

I checked the stores website to see if they had the book I was looking for. They did and the book was priced at about $27. I went to the store to pick it up and the cashier rang up the book for $50. I told her about the Barnes and Noble website price, she told me that they do not price check with their own website. She also went on to say that the books are cheaper online, because the warehouse workers are paid minimum wage and the workers in the store get paid more. Sorry lady, I am not paying an extra $23 on a book to pay for your paycheck. The store needs to price check with their own website or say that they do not. I am taking my business somewhere else.

Mostly paperbacks and over-priced CDs and hardcover books (what few they have). Borders offered a lot of hardcovers and when they went under I though B&N might pick up a few hardcovers, but if anything there are fewer ones. I rarely shop there, rarely buy anything when I do, and am disappointed in its offerings. Its not bad, but not real good, either. Its more or less a christmas only store.

Love this store! I love books & Barnes & Noble has it all! Games, toys, books, magazines. And a cafe where you can get coffee & soft drinks & desserts & sandwiches. I love going to this store! I always buy too much, lol. I hardly ever walk away empty handed. They also have a section where they sell DVDs & CDs too! Highly recommended!

This is a wonderful store. I love going to the cafe and sitting there with a book, homework, or a laptop and be there for hours. This is the store I go to when I want a new book or a magazine and Ive never had a problem here with the staff. I do wish that there were more electrical outlets in the cafe, but overall I adore this store.

Sure its got the Barnes & Noble selections and atmosphere thats so comforting. However to turn up the comfort, have more comfy chair groupings situated throughout the store and have more electrical outlets available (there is currently one) in the Starbucks area.

I love the Cafe inside the book store. I always go there to use the free internet since where I live requires us to use our own limited data through our phones so we just go here sometimes to do research and stuff. And occasionally get a snack too. :)

Came in with only a few minutes to grab a book. The cashier knew exactly where the section I wanted was and got in and out quickly. Selection wasnt bad, about 2.5 shelves of relevant books to choose from.

This store is always clean and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If they dont have a book in stock, they will get it for you with no additional cost. Plus, they have a full service Starbucks.

Barnes & Noble is a good bookstore chain. You can order a wide variety of books from them, although their in-store collection seems centered on children and literature (smaller non-fiction sections).

Well managed store. An explorer gets what it needs. Lots of space to read in store, broad selection of choices from digital games to physical games. WiFi is slow but manageable.

Get lost in a never-ending supply of books. Employees have done their homework and direct you to the best book there for you, or are more than happy to order one online for you.

No seating but I guess thats because they want you to buy a book. Not a library. Only one outlet to plug up my laptop. Waited until someone left for it to become available.

This bookstore is one of my happy places. I love cruising the bargain books, checking out the journals and the classics section. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Lots of games and unique items I have not seen at other B & N. However, it is not as large as I would have expected for being close to a large university.

The cafe is NOT a Starbucks nor do they know anything about their drinks. The lady didnt even know how to put milk and sweetener in my iced coffee.

The cafe has small tables and very few power outlets. Other than that, its a fine Barnes and Noble with friendly, helpful employees.

Barnes and Noble has a fun atmosphere and is a relaxing place to read. There is something about being in a B&N that is so calming

With book stores shutting down all over, its so nice to have a Barnes & Noble in the area, especially a larger one like this.

Great staff and selection. My only complaint is they got rid of the "New" section in the sci-fi fantasy department.
