This review is strictly about an employee named Mike Chambers at the McDonough, GA location. Since he works in the automotive industry, I felt I should give a heads up to potential customers to avoid working with him. I work at a dealership and took in his personal car as a trade in. He had a terrible attitude from the first moment he started speaking so I should have known something was up. I take responsibility that I did not look over his vehicle properly but I asked him if anything was wrong with his vehicle. He looked me directly in the eyes and said there was nothing wrong with his vehicle at all. I took him at his word, and as it turns out, his vehicle has a smoking issue and a problem with the transmission. So either he is incompetent or has no integrity. Neither of which I would want to work with as a consumer myself buying expensive automotive parts. Good luck!

Offers a fantastic selection of "go fast parts" and other items for those who love wrenching on cars. I ended up just buying a license plate and some paint but it was neat to walk through the isles of parts and tools. However, the store has a confusing layout and you cant really buy most of the parts on the shelf as theyre just displays. Youll have to stand in a long line to speak to a catalog person and then wait to have your catalog order filled. When you actually buy something youll have to stand in line once again for the register. The tool selection isnt s good and your local Sears is probably better. Even though they sell some Craftsman USA tools theyll be mixed in with Craftsman Chinese tools and priced way too high.

This place is a Godsend for folks that like to keep their cars in top performance shape. They have many different performance parts out on display, from dozens of radiators, steering wheels, and tires, all the way up to complete motors complete with blowers. Right there where you can touch and understand them. The staff is also very helpful and knowledgeable, and they have many parts clerks so the line is usually short. They also have several TV screens that continually play useful "how to" videos. I often watch them while I am waiting to check-out.

Purchased Cragar wheels from Summit Racing Equipment. Rims started to rust within 2 months, properly taken care of and cleaned; they continued to rust until they were almost completely an embarrassing rust color (less than six months on the car!). Summit customer service could only offer 20% off if I bought the same wheels again?! No reimbursement, no exchange. Warranty policy is a scam. Terrible experience, will never buy Cragar or anything from Summit. Customer service comes after making money for this company. Shop elsewhere.

My home away from home LOL Ive been a Summit Racing customer since day 1, and whether I was drag racing during my days in the US Army or building a 1969 Camaro Summit has been there for me. Great customer service, and great service when things were not up to expectations. they all always made it up for the issue. Now I live in Georgia and the the store is about 1 hour away. Always a pleasure to stop in and pick something up LOL I am an Alumni of the first National Speed Shop chain (Super Shops)

As a long time customer who has spent thousands of dollars with Summit, I can honestly say they have never disappointed me. The few times I had questions about fitment of parts or descriptions on the internet, they never hesitated to call the manufacturer for clarification. Staff has always been courteous and professional, and I love the fact that they use FedEx for shipping- never a problem, where as UPS would return orders as undeliverable- reason unknown. I love these guys.

Summit Racing in McDonough GA is a must stop destination for all automotive enthusiasts. The showroom is incredibly laid out and easy to navigate. The staff is very knowable and courteous. I own a performance shop in Tampa, FL and travel frequently to Atlanta. Every time I pass by, I stop in at Summit Racing even if I am not in need of any parts. Its always pays to browse the specialty tools section...you always end up finding something you need!

Today was my first time actually visiting the facility Ive order a lot of parts online before. Out of the four people that I did my business with only one of them had a nasty attitude and that was the lady at the returns dept but everyone else was very nice and helpful.Im not gonna let that one person cloud my judgement, over all I had a great experience and will doing business with them.

So...how much do you want to spend restoring that 1985 Aries K your granddad left you in his will? Well, if youve got the cash, theyve got the parts. The showroom is stunning, with the classic and race cars on turn tables near the front, full blocks and short blocks on display, everything you could want to restore or build up a car. Have fun, and have a large bank account.

Not too bad. I wouldnt recommend shopping "in store" because its kinda frustrating. If youre expecting to go in and browse all the products and see what catches your eye, then you will be disappointed. Its basically a parts store that you walk in and tell the counter people what you need and they find it online and pull it from the back or have it shows to you.

Summit Racing, great place to buy parts...unless something goes wrong. Their "reviews" on their website are a joke. When you actually have an issue with one of their products the restrictions on writing reviews make it such that you cant really warn other customers of the pitfalls. Hence here is a review of their reviews...they suck.

Had many cool displays of all sorts of performance engine parts! Its just like the website. I viewed it more as a museum than a store in this aspect. They didnt have any turbos on display. And they seemed to only have parts for muscle cars. I assume that has to do with the location of the store and their usual customers.

If you need parts, hard to find, or simple tune ups... this is your place. Yes they have computers to look parts up, but is so far above your mass retail parts stores. These ladies and gents really know their stuff. If youre having an issue, they can solve it. Period. Save your sanity and buy from Summit.

Purchased an oil pan for a chevy stroker engine and part was not correct even though sales rep and site stated it had stroker clearance. Got s second pan which cost me twice the labor cost, another $380! Of course no credit towards any labor even though original incorrect part caused two pan installs
