Racism, I am a well to do parent of 6 children and a believer in equal rights. I have a Columbian friend who went to this company in person to rent a Uhaul truck. It was told to him that he could not rent out the truck he was interested in because it was booked. He then asked for any other truck. He was told that it was not known if they were booked but most likely they were. That he could not rent a truck without advanced notice anyway. I, his friend thought this was unusual so I called them up and asked if I could rent the same truck. I was asked when and for how long. I gave the same information ie. within the hour and for a couple of hours. I was told that I was able to rent it. I preceded then to bring up the event that happened earlier with my Columbian friend. He at first tried to get out of it. But could not. I then told him that I would contact the BBB and I hung up. I received a phone call back from the manager a few minutes later. He preceded to tell me there was more than one Shallowford store. I had him tell me the address. It was correct. He was the one who spoke to my friend and said that he only told him that the Uhaul portion of the company was not open, nothing more. I helped him to see that there was no need for my friend to lie especially since he had to go to another Uhaul place to get a truck but that I would confirm one more time. I did this and fromm that inquiry I am writing this complaint.

I needed old school flashlight bulbs for a science experiment for the class I teach. The new lightbulbs do not work. Class started in 15 minutes and I had been everywhere. He dusted off an old box and got me exactly what I needed. Thank you so much!
