My girlfriend and I went to gander mountain to simply look at a handgun and get the right feel for her hand. It was her first gun purchase so we had been extensively researching prior to our visit. Let me just tell you, Bob Bowdoin is the most knowledgeable retail employee I have ever encountered. He literally spent hours (roughly 3) making sure my girlfriend felt extremely comfortable with the firearm she walked out with. He acted much like a concerned close relative asking her hard questions such as "whats your greatest fear in terms of scenario?" Or "what is the most important consideration in your decision?" We viewed about five pistols. He even offered her additional advice and guided her to a comfortable holster and made sure we had everything we needed. Just so you know I own multiple firearms so no I am not some shmoe who was taken advantage of. Needless to say Bob was a fantastic individual to have met and a very critical asset to the gander mountain family. All retail stores should model their employees after him because he displayed beyond stellar service and I will only shop at that particular store for firearms. FYI gander mountain also boasts the best selection of firearms of the retail store in their industry. Sincerely thank you Bob and the gander mountain family. Glenn and Hanna

Very poor when it comes to purchasing firearms. Took 1/2 hour to get help and the store was empty. There are signs to take a number... But no where to take a number. Extremely overpriced and their price match policy is non-existent. We tried to use their price match policy for a local store because we had a gift card. They verified the price and everything, but then went on to say that it was below their cost, so they would not honor the lower price. I asked what their cost was, but they wouldnt tell me. They also wouldnt discount their item. I would have assumed that they would at least mark the item down to their cost at that point... But no... I then selected another item that was lower at another store and got the same exact run around. The price was supposedly below their cost so they couldnt sell at the lower price... They would only sell at full store pricing and wouldnt tell me what their cost was. So why have a price match policy if you wont adjust your price even after you verified multiple other stores with lower prices? Everyone else cannot be selling their items for less than you pay... Anyone want a gift card? Lol!

Bought husband carthalt coveralls 4 weeks ago. Was suppose to get a 20.00 gift card with purchase. Suppose to come with order. It didnt a month later I got it after emailing them over and over. This is what gets me, the reason they gave me. They had an issue with their system not giving out the cards. They emailed it to me 4 weeks late. Why could they not email it when they Knew they had a problem. Going back to Bass Pro Shop, they would have put. Customer first if They had a problem!. Bad Customer Service at Gander Mountain. Something happened to this store about 4 mo the ago. Im in retail, these managers need some serious customer service training. Oh and its a New store, lets see how long they stay in business here.

Have had good experiences with Gander Mountain in the past but today was different. Called the store at 9:15am and spoke to Briana about purchasing a specific safe. I was told the system is down but I will check availability and call you back. I called the store back 45min later and was told the system is still down and she hasnt been able to check. I made the 1hr and 15min drive out there 2hours after the first call and found Briana now 3 hours after first call and was immediately met with the safe is sold out. It was that easy, she knew the answer just needed to call. A 30 second phone call... One star rating for poor customer service. Respectfully, Chris

No customer service. No sales knowledge. No reason to shop at Snellville Gander Mountain. Sales rep had no knowledge on smokers, went to Bass Pro on 5/17 and bought one. They couldnt find a grinder on 5/29 (3 in stock when I called), so again I went to Bass Pro and they had no trouble finding theirs. No sales rep help at gun counter for 40 minutes on 6/11 and they dont serve customers in the order of your number, so I went to Bass Pro and was out the door in less than an hour with a better rifle at a lower cost! Im done!! Ive never had any issue at any other Gander Mountain, but dont count on the Snellville location for anything! Pathetic!!

A young man in the footwear section was very helpful, and even suggested a book that I purchased elsewhere. However, there was a lady who unfortunately was a manager that clearly seemed annoyed that I inquired where the Northface hats were located. As an individual who works in the healthcare industry I dont believe helping with anything is beneath me, and that is the opposite of the attitude I was greeted with. I most likely will continue to make the trip to Bass Pro due to the interaction with her.

Theres a reason youre going out of business. Even with your items being between 10-30% youre still more expensive than every where. A Glock magazine for $49.99? Are you serious? Those sell for $24.99 on midway. Youre selling a HK VP9 for $600 thats after 10% off. Thats still over $100 more expensive than every where. For $600 I might as well spend a few extra dollars and get the tactical version.

Stopped by Gander Mountain to take a look around today. My first thought, the store seems a little out of place for the area. However, they have a very large firearm selection as well as angler needs. In my opinion, it feels like a scaled down version of a Bass Pro Shops. It also seems a bit pricey. I compared a couple of gun prices and found Gander Mountain to be more expensive.

Great store, great location! I walked in knowing that I was going to purchase a Glock 22 and it was a breeze. Jennifer was very helpful and was extremely pleasant to work with. This store has a great selection of firearms and accessories. I also got a much better deal on the .40 Glock 22 than anywhere else. I highly recommend this store to anyone!

Its the closest Gander Mountain to me in Stone Mountain and I really did the store. It helped that I won $100 gift card at the grand opening but I really do like their house brand clothes. The store has always been well staffed with friendly folks and if you like Bass Pro you should stop in and check out this Gander Mountain.

Glad to have a decent store for fishing supplies in Snellville. The store is often relatively empty and quite, may explain why sometimes there are very few staff. Only complaint is the cashiers can sometimes be pushy for signing you up for store credit. No thanks, cash works fine.
