I dropped my car off here on a Friday night to have work done on it Saturday. We needed an alignment, new tires and we had a check engine light on. When we dropped it off, we were told that it would be looked at first thing Saturday morning. Noon came on Saturday and we hadn’t heard anything about our car so we called them to check up. It was supposed to be looked at first thing. They open at 7 AM. They still hadn’t gotten to it. Around 2 PM we get a call that they want to charge us over $300 to change a camshaft sensor. That’s a part my husband can change in a matter of minutes for a fraction of the cost. We told them no thanks on the sensor, but we still needed an alignment and tires and then we asked if they could also do an oil change. Seeing how they were already working on our car and our car had been there since the night before, we figured it wouldn’t be too much longer until our car was done. 5PM rolls around and we haven’t heard anything. We call again and they tell us our car will be ready at 6. We show up at 6 to pick up our car and it isn’t ready. Are you kidding me!?! They tell us that it will be another 30 minutes. I lost it. The guy at the counter then tells me that they do not have the tires we wanted so they were upgrading ours at no cost. Was that supposed to make me feel better? I’ve wasted my entire Saturday waiting on my car and if they didn’t have the tires in stock, they should have told us when we talked to them at Noon or 1 or 5. We finally get our car back right before the store closes. We drove down to Autozone to get the sensor that we needed and I noticed that there was no oil change sticker in my window. I decided to check my oil. Turns out they drained all the oil out of my car and didn’t put any back in. I wasn’t going back, so I called the corporate office and complained about it and we bought our own oil. The next day I noticed that they didn’t put one of our hubcaps back on our passenger side tire. I would have gone back to get it, but they are worth the time. This isn’t the first bad experience that I’ve had with them, but it will be the last. If you’re looking for a good mechanic in the Lawrenceville/Dacula area, go to Nobody’s. They are honest and their prices can’t be beat.

Horrible! Yesterday morning, I noticed that the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) "OFF" lamp was illuminated on the dash of my 2009 Kia Sorento. It has done this before, but usually it is a result of a sudden movement while driving and resets when you restart the car. This time it stayed on no matter what. Not long after, my check engine light also came on. I did some quick research on the web and learned that these were indications of a bad "break light switch which resulted in break light failure and was under recall from Kia, . I was pressed for time with my Mother in law gravely ill and my wife out of town at her Mothers visiting in her final days, so rather than make the long drive to the dealership without break lights, I opted to drive the two miles up the street to the new Pep Boys. It was the end of the business day, so I had to leave my car. I explained in great detail the problem, told the tech it was a 16 dollar part and to make the repair. The next day I was car-less, however I was certain I would be getting a phone call that my car was ready. Noon came and went. Two oclock came and went. No phone call. I finally called the store to inquire as to the status. I was told that "the guy that has the adaptor to read the codes on your car called in sick today, and the other guy that works here who has an adaptor...well...today was his day off. I can have him come in after three and read the code on your car computer". I was livid. I asked him, "you have had my car all day long......and no one looked at it? No one called me to tell me this?" He replied, "yeah man...I prolly should have called you". I had someone follow me to the Kia dealership where the repair was made in 20 minutes. Pep Boys has lost my business. I am the second person in my neighborhood that has experienced poor customer service. We have other options. Good luck.

After my daughter came to this location for an oil change, we noticed the there was fluid leaking from her car. We called, and spoke to Erica, whom was quite helpful, advised us to bring that car in to be checked. We spoke to Erica once we arrived, and she would have some pull the vehicle in to be checked While waiting we were ask if we needed assistance, by Joe Roman, who I would not recommend to be a store mananger, he was advised that we had already spoken to Erica. Once the car was in the shop, we were advised, we were called in, by Devon to review the issues. As Devon was trying to explain, Joe immediately came over, and interupted the conversation, and stated that Devon has already explained what was wrong, and that he needs the car out of the shop immediately. As we were, still trying to gain further information, from Devon, Joe proceeds to go to start lowing our vehicle, while we were still under the lift, which I was pull out from under by my wife. Joe Roman, then proceeds to become very disgruntle, and loudly demands that we leave his shop, and store. In which he was physically on my back almost pushing out if the shop. I proceeded to turn around to advise him that his action were not acceptable, and to not appoach me, or speak to me in that manner that he was. Then told me to just leave, and that he didnt stutter in his actions. At this time I stated that the level of customer service at this location. Is far below being sub-par, and requested the corporate contact information. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! FAIR WARNING!

I visited Dacula Pep Boys today and couldnt have been more disappointed with the customer service that I received. I even witnessed two different people come into the store and turn around and leave because of the lack of acknowledgment from the counter. One woman and I exchanged conversation about how rude the counter service man was. When I was given my keys and cashed out I asked where my car was since I didnt see it out front on my way in. Lewis replied in a huffy tone (like I was incompetent) that maybe I should look on the side of the building. I went out to look and still could not find my car. When returning to the counter, Lewis grabbed my keys and my receipt out of my hands and told the guys in the bay, "you need to figure this out!" He then didnt give me any information as to what was happening or why he took my keys. The next 10 minutes seemed to go all downhill with Lewis treating other customers the same way. When my car did appear from a young gentleman whi handed me the keys he asked Lewis if I was all set. Lewis actually rolled his eyes at the boy and gruffy said, "yes!" As if the young man had any idea what was going on before his arrival up front. Needless to say, I wont ever return and I will be sure to tell my staff of 100 people up the street to stay away as well. Poor job with hiring, Lewis Pep Boys. Such a shame.
