BEWARE OF SCAMMERS. IF YOU SHOP THERE, PLEASE HOLD OFF ON A REVIEW TILL YOUVE HAD YOUR MERCHANDISE FOR A WHILE. See how they handle your warranty when your purchase fails you (it almost certainly will, based on the other reviews). THEN write your review. In my case, I bought a laptop charger. The first one in the display that I tested didnt work. (It was a good thing I tested it.) The second one worked, and Harrison, who sold it to me, reassured me that I could always bring it back for an exchange or refund within 30 days, and if I didnt keep my receipt, I was already in the system from a previous purchase, so they could look it up and Id be able to return or exchange it. Three weeks later, the charger suddenly stopped working. I took it in with my smaller receipt (not itemized). Though I was very nice and my issue utterly reasonable and basic - FAULTY PRODUCT, PLEASE REPLACE - Sheldon, the owner, was EXTREMELY rude to me, said that I needed the 8.5"x11" itemized version of the receipt BECAUSE I COULD BE LYING about what the summary receipt represented. I told him I was in the system, which he knew, as Id done business with them a few times, and could he just look it up, like Harrison had told me they would (Harrison wasnt there that day). Sheldon refused to look up the purchase data that would have proven that Id bought it there (why would I have any reason to lie?), and he refused to give me an exchange or refund. He said Id have to take time out of my day to return on Thursday to speak with Harrison about it, and when I pointed out again that he could just look me up in their system, he said that if I didnt like it I could call the Better Business Bureau. I was working too many hours on Thursday to drive all the way over. Meanwhile, I had no working laptop as it had long been out of charge, and my 30-day period to return was running out. When I returned today asking for Harrison and stating my case, Sheldon was again the only one at the counter. He said, with a slick smile, that Harrison was not going to be back for another week (I believe he was stalling to ensure I was well past the 30-day return window). He told me that he had spoken with his attorney to ensure that he was under no legal obligation to show me my file in their customer system. This is a person who refuses to take five steps over to a computer to check the proof that he knows exists that I bought my charger there and, based on the other products they sell there that are faulty, like the first charger I had tested, and all the other products that have been negatively reviewed here, he knows that Im right and telling the truth, and he is refusing to check the purchase record specifically in order to avoid taking responsibility for selling faulty products, preferring to scam another customer and not have to pay the consequences. That would be inconvenient. Again I said I wanted to take care of this, and Sheldon said he would not speak with me and I had better leave or else he would call the police. I had barely been there three minutes. I was being completely reasonable, not causing a scene or doing anything wrong. But, basically, if you are a dissatisfied customer, then, because they dont have anything to say for themselves and no reasonable answer, they will call the POLICE on you to DISPOSE OF YOU rather than handle your issue in a professional manner. As I was preparing to drive away, I saw that Sheldon was just inside the front door VIDEOTAPING me as if I was some kind of criminal. This guy seems unstable, frankly. I go through life getting along with people, and things tend to go nicely all-around. This guy, however, the moment he wasnt making a profit off of my trust, almost enthusiastically became the most unpleasant person Ive experienced in a long time, besides being a dishonest businessman.

If you are looking for a place for computer repair PAY ATTENTION to these NEGATIVE reviews about Pro Computer - and stay far, far away. I personally witnessed 2 police cars outside this establishment and need to add my experience about this place as well. Just think about all the people that *havent* posted a review. I had a HORRIBLE experience - I promptly went across the street to Best Buy and Geek Squad IMMEDIATELY fixed my issue. 1) If someone charges a diagnostic fee and they dont know what is wrong - you shouldnt have to pay the diagnostic fee. WHY should you pay someone for their inexperience? 2) If someone sells you something and it is faulty - they need to accept the return - PERIOD. I brought this man, Sheldon, a BRAND NEW computer to transfer files from one computer to the other. Not only were the majority of the files NOT transferred - important files were COMPLETELY DELETED off the initial computer. I was glad I had a backup - but it was a complete waste of time to piece everything back together. He also replaced a part on my BRAND NEW computer with a USED PART. Best Buy opened my computer in front of me because of problems - and when we BOTH saw an aftermarket part in a BRAND NEW computer - we KNEW ProComputer was a SCAM. The place needs to close their doors. I see he loves calling the police on people - I should have called the police on him. Best Buy actually gave me a NEW computer and sent the other back to the manufacturer as a defect - it was TWO DAYS OLD. I was furious. Instead I went back to work, but I should have exposed Pro Computer at that time. STAY FAR AWAY!!! ANYONE who takes a part out of someones BRAND NEW computer and replaces it with a USED part - cannot be trusted.

SCAM ALERT!! Do not waste your time or money on this place. The manager is unprofessional and has no business working with the public. He charged me $100 to replace my I-Phone screen due to it peeling up. I asked to first be called upon determining the cost of repairs to decide if it was worth it. I paid a diagnosis fee and three weeks later was told the repairs had been made and to come pick it up. Two months later the screen started peeling up again. When I went back to the shop I was told it was past the 30 day labor warranty and I would have to pay additional repair costs. When I declined, the manager told me to leave or he would call the police! I decided to wait for the police so I could retain a copy of the report to expose this place. The police officers suggested I contact the Better Business Bureau and or take him to small claims court. I then took the phone to an Apple store and they confirmed none of the parts were replaced but rather the original screen was GLUED back together. They should be ASHAMED of themselves to practice business like this. BEWARE!!

We live and learn. My first impressions of ProComputer were excellent. But - be sure you test any used computer you buy there - thoroughly. I bought one for my son to play his games since his old PC gave up the ghost. I always think it safer to get a one-year warranty and they honored the first time around when the machine kept turning off spontaneously. The replacement machine keeps on freezing on a particular game - so we tested for a month to try and find the cause. No joy. The game runs perfectly on my computer and my other sons - but not on this purchase. When I asked to honor the warranty and exchange for another type of computer (I offered to pay any difference) they very politely refused - so Im on my own with a machine that does not satisfy and cannot be repaired nor upgraded. Stuck with a dud. Buyer beware! I will not return to ProComputer.
