What a great experience. Greeted at the door very friendly. Needed to know where I needed to go and she knew exactly the aisle I needed period as its Christmas I suddenly saw things I wanted that I didnt plan on getting and since the cards were outside and I meant I would have to walk back out to get them. I am disabled and walking is difficult. The greater said wait right here and ran and got me one. I then found a awesome Star Wars light for Christmas that I knew my son and his wife and Light I asked an employee who is deeply engaged in trying to solve some paperwork and she stopped immediately pleasantly and said that would be no problem and took care of it without any sort of negative remark attitude or anything in fact she was extremely Pleasant and wished me a happy shopping experience from there I then went around the store collecting things that I thought I would want. I was in desperate need of the one item I came for an air filter for my AC. I came to the Home Depot because everywhere I was going they wanted 12:15 and $20 for a cheap o air filter which is ridiculous. This is when Bob Fry came into my life. I explained that all an air filter needed to do for me was stop dog hair and stuff from getting into my system I didnt need one that would find a cure for HIV or anything. Immediately took me over to a sign see picture and showed it to me that there are different levels. I said I just want the cheapest easiest one period but took me two and three pack for $8 and I wanted to hug him. Bob was extremely Pleasant and helpful and understanding and listened carefully to my needs and then after the air filter asked me was there anything else he could help me with. I asked if he would mind if I used his name he said no and Ive decided that at that moment Bob Fry going to be a part of my review. The line at the checkout took a little while not so much because of the person ring it up but because of the customer. Unfortunately the Home Depot did not open additional lines at that time to cope with the backup. Once it was my turn to be rung up I was met by a very friendly engaging employee who was actually very very kind and still in a very good mood despite what she had just gone through. She checked out my stuff quickly and took care of everything and before I knew it I was on my way. I noted at that point to that the store cleanliness had been excellent all the way through that the employees had been engaging and helpful and that my cart did not have crummy Wheels. I would definitely recommend this place to someone. They have an infinite amount of cool things here I could go broke and a heartbeat. I had a lot of fun at the store.

Weve been renting floor burnishers from the tool department of university pkwy. Home Depot for months now and never had any problems with the tools until yesterday. We were burnishing a typical fan troweled concrete slab removing old glue, we kept the surface wet not to burn up the diamond pad. Almost 2hrs into the job the tool stopped operating correctly by not turning as it should (pull up on handle goes right, press down goes left) I imediately stopped operating an moved it to dry location to inspect it, we looked underneath removed the diamond pad which was fine but beyond the pad there were several screws missing as in 4, we walked around & found 3 they were screwed back in and we tried using machine again with no luck, we had another employee return it and explain the problem maybe it was something they could repair quickly as we just lost an entire day with it. She takes it back and a manager was working the tool desk so she was trying to explain to the man but all he did was give her a hard time threatening to charge us for damage to the machine and charging us for 3 days instead of the 1 day we had it he was enjoying himself going out of his way to embarrass the poor girl in front of a line full of customers (yeah this guy is a real JERK) he almost had her in tears berating her as if she had purposely damaged the machine when she even told him she didnt use it. Pictures were taken of the floor/work area the machine was used on and the screws that fell out, my 1st assumption was lack of maintenance on machine by them how do screws fall out they werent tight in the 1st place! She just rented another machine and this dude started hassling her about loading the new machine in her truck, this guy has ZERO respect for women how he became a manager is beyond us. We will be coming to speak to mr. Tough guys supervisor and see if they feel the same as he does

Home Depot had been nothing but a source of aggravation. Three months ago, we went in to look at carpet and schedule an installation. A man came out and measured the square footage of carpet and gave us a value of roughly 1300 sq ft. Later when a woman from HD called to give us a final amount and schedule a time, the sq ft had increased by 300 and no explanation was given; In fact, she out and out lied about the price as well. Once that was settled, the installer came out about a week later...only to be surprised that the old carpet hadnt been removed and the furniture hadnt been moved. Part of our price quote was for carpet removal and disposal and furniture moving. He couldnt do the carpet (it was a two-man job they scheduled one man for) and two weeks later installers came out and finished the job. Now, two months later, our water heater started leaking and we came to HD to purchase a new one and schedule an installation (a HUGE mistake - we should have learned the first time). Our water heater is 80 gal. and all HD had was a 50 gal. Fine. We schedule the install for the next day (a lucky break). The man shows up...and didnt know we had an 80 gal. Its in our paperwork. We gave the measurements of the water heater (diameter, height, capacity) to the HD scheduling/installation department. In person. Home Depot, you had better get your act together. Not only are you aggravating your customer and wasting our time (and occasionally our money), you are wasting the time of your installers/contractors. I dont work in that field, but Im sure they dont appreciate having their time wasted. And as customers, we dont like being lied to and made out to be the incompetent fools when we come in to complain about the substandard service you provide. Rest assured (Im sure you dont care at all), next time, we will be going to Lowes.

My dauther had her first public seizure while we were at the Home Depot on University and I cant thank the 5 people that helped us out enough. Three of the employees ran for rugs and pillows and anything soft they could find so that she wouldnt be on the hard cement. They did that so fast that they actually had them on the ground before I could even lift her from her wheelchair and get her on her side, on the ground. One employee actually got a water from her own lunch bag and a wet wash cloth. Another employee blocked us off with carts and then they all stayed with us for over 45 minutes while she came to. While all this was happening three of the employees kept praying out loud while rubbing her arm and my back. Then two of the employees helped us out to the car as well. Last night I decided to call the manager at Home Depot to let him know that I could not have been more thankful for his employees that helped out. While I was talking to the manager he seemed genuinely concerned for my daughter and asked about her special needs. He said he has a special place in his heart for special needs people. While speaking with him we came to the realization that I actually know his wife. I met her a few years back when we got into an hour long conversation while I was working. She told me that she has a nonprofit organization that puts together an annual "prom" for special needs kids. This is my big shout out to The Home Depot employees that helped us out yesterday, particularly Kathleen, Gloria and Cynthia and to Dan, The Home Depot manager, who assured me he would "take care" of those that helped us out yesterday. Proof that "good people" do still exist.
