I am a very frequent Wawa customer around the Tampa and St. Pete area, but am especially loyal to the Del Mabery location. I work nights, and usually come in anywhere between 2:45am and 7 a.m. depending on when my shift ends. Xavier is one of the best employees at this location. He always remembers what I like to order and asks when I make changes to my order, even when it is busy. Im usually not inclined to write reviews but after my experience tonight I had to.. I ordered my typical breakfast burritos, and a woman who claimed she was the manager on duty Lauren or Laury? was extremely rude and told me what I ordered was not available. I asked her why it was still an option on the touch screen menu, and she said it was because she hadnt blocked it off the menu board in time..as we continued our conversation she proceeded to walk away and answer the phone and started talking to another customer.. no big deal I ordered something different non-breakfast related.. but the point is, I think that Xavier should be the manager on duty over this woman.. he has great customer service skills, is very quick and efficient and at least acts like he cares. This was my first and only negative experience at this Wawa and I really believe this woman needs to be let go.

Devin the roving Real Estate Agent here - and youd better believe I buy a lot of gas...! As mentioned in my Dale Mabry Walmart review, this Wawa also has a shortcut back entrance (any way to avoid Dale Mabry is preferable) off of Himes Avenue - just turn on Carmen and go all the way down to Wawa on left. What Im grateful for with Wawa is that theyre all generally very clean, well-kept, and have a great coffee selection. They actually keep up with their coffee too, as theres a specific person whose job it is to man the station. They get special edition coffees throughout the year - like Falls Pumpkin Spice, of course. My favorite is the classic, Dark Roast. ***Lactose-Intolerant, Vegan, and other Dairy avoiding individuals*** They have soy milk (I know, soy isnt the best, but we know our trade-offs) for your coffee or tea. Most people know about Wawas hoagies (if theyve heard of Wawa at least), but they may not have heard of other small dishes they have, like mac and cheese for example. Besides that there are healthy (and not so healthy) alternatives for picking off the shelf, like yogurt, cut or uncut apples, bananas, fruit bowls, and prepared salads. Three cheers for Wawa.

When I started going to this WaWa, I always got great service, however lately Ive noticed otherwise. The cappuccino machine requires regular cleaning which I dont believe its been getting based off of my cappuccino this morning. It tasted burnt and when I poured it out there was a glob of i dont even know what in the bottom of my cup! Also, its very neat that you have automated registers to make your cashiers lives easier but why do I always feel like Im being rushed out of the way with no time to put away change in my wallet? The transaction usually goes like this: I walk up to the next available cashier- I give them my money, my change is spit out of the register, your cashier closes the register drawer, looks at me and says "have a nice day" before I even get the chance to touch my change, none the less put it in my wallet. Plus, if youre going to tell someone to Have a nice day., at least smile at them so they can try to fool themselves into thinking youre being sincere.

So disappointed with this location. I have been in WAWAs in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Florida and find this by far the WORST WAWA location, I visited this location yesterday at approximately 9:45, and found the coffee area dirty and lacking coffee I was unable to get the coffee I wanted as they were either empty or Decaf then I went to get Iced Tea and that was empty I asked to speak with a manager an when I explained my problem he looked at me like I was a bother not a customer. this is the normal for this location they are almost always out of Ice Tea and you always have to ask for the coffee to be replaced, Sandwich quality has suffered tremendously also, its better to go somewhere else than this location . Wish there was another location closer to go to. Such a shame this store carries the name WAWA because it is not what I find in other WAWA locations. Poor ownership poor management.

I used to really like Wawa. The food though is anything but consistant. Guess it depends on who is working. I can buy a sandwich one day and tastes good. But the same sandwich the next day is like the top of the sauce bottle came off and they added so much sauce it has to be thrown in the garbage. I dont always expect perfection but its not like Im paying $2 for a McDonalds burger. Sometimes in excess of $6.00. They just dont seem to care anymore. I no longer buy food there. Also at this location I mentioned like 3 weeks ago to a cashier that the hand dryer in mens room didnt work. A week later still didnt work. A week after that (today) there was a out of order sign on it. Really? Do you guys need an electrician out there? Do you even care? I think Wawa in general has become a miniature Walmart

First, I really like Wawa, very convenient and fast. Plus there options make it great for a quick stop. Here, they need to work on cleanliness. Watched a man sweep with a broom, moving garbage cans around and picking things up off the ground and placing into the can. All the while having food service gloves on. Not a problem. Yet, I do have a problem if you take the same service gloves to walk over the oven, contaminate the oven gloves (putting hand into glove with service gloves on), and then handling my food, all without washing and replacing your gloves, that is very disgusting. Go to a different Wawa, stay away from this one.

The very first time I went to fill up and tried a sandwich I was very pleased with the experience! I was told to keep the cup so my refills will be $.99 from now on. So I decided to come back. The 2nd time I came back, I told about the cashier that this is the cup I saved from my last visit. I was just charged full price as I look at my receipt while walking out! The 3rd time, it happened again but there was a line behind me so I didnt bother on to question it. Today, again, but this time the cashier just didnt bother to fix it. Just wanna me to go away! Service is just the same as Circle K or 7/11 stores.

I love Wawa in general. Have visited stores all over the Tampa Bay area and the NJ area. This store, by far, has the worst customer service. Especially the third shift. And over where the lids and straws are is almost always a disaster. A couple days ago I went in, and of course the area was destroyed, and four employees were behind the food prep area just chatting. Its a shame that many people may judge all of the Wawa locations based on this one. This store has the WORST sense of urgency to cash people out. NOT A PRIORITY!!
