I love this place!! Ive checked out most of the Asian markets in Tampa. Oceanic is by far my favorite and in fact for the past 5 years the only Asian market I buy from. The Market is not huge but is laid out very well and has a good sized parking lot with easy access. They have everything I need and if I need an unusual product, they will make every effort to find and order it for me. I love how friendly and helpful the staff are and most of them speak English. They even greet you by name once they know who you are. "Suki" always greets you with her big, happy smile! The selection of fresh, exotic fruits, vegetables and herbs is plentiful. I buy the Daikon radish to make spirolized zoodles...delish! They have Shirataki noodles, duck and quail eggs, fresh meats, short ribs, pork belly, duck, fresh fish, shrimp, sqid and much more! There is a medicinal herbal section and one of owners is an herbalist and when hes there, he can be of great help as he has a wealth of information. The Hot Foods counter is amazing! But, it goes fast so better get there early! The other Hot foods they sell daily is Roast Duck, Pork Belly, Bar BQ Ribs, Bar BQ Pork Roast, Fried Pork Crackling and a nice variety of Desserts. But, if you get there and its all gone, dont worry because they own "TC Choys" Restaurant, so go there for dinner to enjoy all that delicious food!

This place has been around for a long time. The first time I visited it, it was a little overwhelming. They have a medium to large frozen and produce section, and aisle upon aisles of different Asian products, all neatly arranged. I really love the drink section; there are some drinks they have, like UCC Oolong Tea that I can only get here. They also have a large tea selection in the back, along with dishes and dining ware and more. They are also directly on the bus route to the Mario Transit Center which is a nice plus. The downside I suppose is that the store is rather rinky-dinky. The lighting isnt that great, and at the deli section of the store, where youve got fresh food served, Ive seen some pretty moldy thing there. The store needs a really nice make-over. Overall, if youre looking for exotic ingredients, and hard to find Asian foods, come here and youll find it. Its worth your time!

This used to be THE place to go to get Asian products. But now with so many other markets around there is not as much reason for me to go to Oceanic. I had not been to the store in about a year. It was filthy. Smelled dirty, floor was dirty, etc. I have a fairly liberal threshold of cleanliness for stores such as these, but they were below what I consider my cut off. Plus, several of the ingredients I was looking for (to cook items out a new cookbook I bought - Every Grain of Rice) were not in the store.

The moment I walked in, it took me back to my grandfathers store in and all of the competing Chinese shops in peninsular Malaysia that I ever set foot in as a child. The selection, arrangement, and people in the store are very nice. I have been to the other Oriental Market here in Tampa, but this one, by far, has more selection of fruits and veggies. Highly recommended!

The largest and oldest Asian grocery in Tampa. Its my go to place when I need rice or soy sauce or bok choy or Filipino vinegar. The butcher/fishmonger section is always an adventure. You never know what youll find, anything from live blue crab to whole pork belly or Korean style short ribs. The deli/lunch counter is affordable and always eclectic.

I purchased one if the art pieces available at the market. I was skeptical of the claim that the piece was an antique but thought that it would be a nice woodcarving anyway. When I got home I inspected it more closely and found that it was molded plastic designed to look like wood. Obviously I will not be shopping here again.

first time i went to oceanic, i was not impressed.. i expected this huge "TAMPA SUPERMARKET".. it was tiny.. not what im used to.. im not from a big city but i came from charlotte, nc and the asian super market is way bigger.. i was expecting a bigger store.. its just an average small mart or store to me, not a supermaket..

It almost has everything you could think of in an oriental market but it was missing various snacks like pockies and Japanese candies. I was very disappointed because it wouldnt be a complete Asian market without those essential snacks....other than that it has lots of fish and cool asian foods.

If you like to cook Thai or pretty much any Asian food, this place will probably have what you are looking for! I stopped in to see if they had Kaffir Lime leaves and sure enough, they were in their freezer section!! Picked up some bok choy, ginger, lemon grass, coconut milk and red chili

I visited for the first time ever just a week or so ago and had so much fun exploring aisles with a friend, who worked as a chef and knew the venue personally. I intend to return, as the staff/owners were extremely willing to help you find your way and happy that you visited!

I really like to visit and try a new type of noodle or bag of candy everytime. When I browse the isles I get the feeling I am in a far eastern country minus the long flight abroad. Take your children or borrow some and watch the look on thier faces as they read the labels!

Best Asian market in Tampa. Amazing selection. Great prices and friendly staff. Fresh meat and veg. Huge frozen food section. They also have ready made food during the day. Fresh baked goods. Asian medicine and awesome gift section too. Favorite place to just browse.

They have a large selection of products. It was the only place around where I could find udon noodles. Even if you dont buy anything, looking at all the new and interesting groceries is fun by itself.

Fresh produce. Teas, herbs, and noodles of every type. Lunch buffet of select Asian favorites (Pad Thai, pork belly, egg rolls). And you can pick up a roast duck ready to eat any day of the week.

Although the place hasnt changed in what feels like a decade, they still have the essential Asian goods, the staff is please tell, it doesnt look dirty and the roast pork still looks on point!

This place is not up to health codes. They smell when you enter the place slaps in the face and the behind. Looks like theres a lot of selection but dont trust the food in a place like this.

Great place to find those hard to get Asian vegetables and spices...... Fresh! Plenty of parking, bigger than you would think from the outside.

Huuuuge selection of stuff I have no idea what to do with. I love buying random spices, mixes, etc and experimenting. Makes for a fun date night.
