The Brandon location is the worse! The young man pictured name Ling and the old lady Cheri are the most RUDE DISGUSTING people ever. I am Dominican married to a Asian man and i come here to shop for my family, however whenever I need help finding something and I asked either of those two they give me dirty looks and short answers and claim not to have the items! Ive had enough and will never return to this place. firstly while waiting in line Cheri was helping out instead of telling me shes about to close she just walks off after i put my stuff on the belt, a month later after another visit Ling tells me i dont know anything about asian food when returning a bottle of sauce that had a dead bug in it! Not only that after my last visit he flat out told me that he didnt want to "serve my kind anyway" after he told me they didnt have an item that another employee ended up finding. As a proud American I will never give my business to a dirty rude racist store! And i hope the health department checks out their dirty smelly store.

Im surprised this place hasnt been shut down yet. It has SO MANY health violations. Right when you enter, it has a powerful, horrid stench of rotting fish that seems to force its way down your respiratory system. The smell is so strong, that the fruit and pork buns I bought from there smelled like that, even when I brought it home. The food they are selling in the back has flies flying and landing all over it, the meat does not look that fresh & the fish tanks are disgusting. The poor live fish, crabs, lobster exc are overcrowded in the tanks and most of them were dead. Some were in there so long, their bodies were rotting. That is whats causing the whole store to smell. It is saddening that these animals are living in that unsanitary condition. The pork buns I bought were old & freezer burned. I will never go back there. I have never been in a place as disgusting as that one. It needs to be put down

Nice and clean oriental market. thought bit pricey, really good selection. I can usually find everything I need at one. Veges are good and love it, but meat and fish are somewhat mediocre, and I dont buy those. In Asian grocery... rule no.1, you pick up fresh items from pile of merchandise. Dont expect them clean and clear all the time. If you have a doubt in fish freshness, check their eyes and select only one has clean eyes. If its whitish color. Avoid it unless you know how to cook it. For meat, generally you should stick with your nearest big grocery store.

Ive always had a good experience here. A large majority of the products here cannot be found in chain grocery stores. Produce is cheaper than major grocery stores and has a wider selection. Produce always seems fresh as well. Seafood counter is nice - a variety of fresh seafood either alive in tanks or on ice. Recently noticed some isles have recipe cards now, which can be beneficial for people not familiar with the different types of ingredient you will find here. Staff has always been courteous as well.

If you enjoy cooking, you can find great values in quality ingredients. Fresh produce, tofu, seafood, and hard to find spices and sauces. I like the utensils, drinks, snacks, that remind me of home in Japan. In addition to food, you can find a variety of products not common in stores stateside. I have noticed that this market is more clean than some other markets which is reassuring and with reasonable prices on just about everything.

Actually, I really like this place. However, it may be very common in other countries, the odor when u walk in is not common here. I dont allow this to be a deterrent for me to browse and Ive purchased some very cool items here. Food, veggies, herbs and spices...all good. I would encourage everyone to browse this place, it is vast with a lot of Oriental food, kitchen and cook wate...just HD your nose as you walk in.

I love this place a lot but the customer service is the worst its the third time that I went to this place to buy some seafood but had to leave cause no one would take care of me theres a white old guy in there if he takes care of you its with attitude and if not then hes ignoring you and pretending like hes cleaning the fish area Im now searching for a new place to get stuff because this is getting ridiculous

This store is amazing. They have fresh made buffet food, desserts and pastries. Even have live seafood. Fresh vegetables. Quality grade cookware. Many asian candies and snacks! Huge variety on drinks and alcoholic beverages. Asian medicine. They carry a variety of tea. Layout could be better in the store for an easier way to shop but doesnt bother me too much. It is clean inside and huge parking space.

Huge selection of imported foods. One of the few Asian markets I have been to where only a little over half of the customers I saw were themselves Asian. However, my Chinese sister-in-law tells me the Chinese food is authentic and I know the Filipino food is too. I havent visited the rest of Asia, so I cant comment on authenticity, but it tastes good and you can get it at a reasonable price here.

The managers there do not care that one of their employees is extremely rude. When I approached one of the managers and told him that one of his employees behind the hot food is rude he just replied sorry. He did not even ask which one.... I guess its ok to treat your customers like crap!!!!!!! BTW she has been rude on more than one occasion....

A lot of health violations. Dead fish in the fish tank. Some fish had infections and open wounds. Lobsters stacked on each other and they looked dead. It upset me a lot. One customer was outraged and told them to fix it and the owner said that the fish were sleeping. Smelled like rotten fish when you walk in. Do not recommend this place at all.

If you only see whats behind the chopping board, and other hidden areas you would probably never eat or buy from there again.!! Smh, how do they manage to pass a health inspection is beyond me. Unbelievable. Cooked food is delicious but they only put any crustaceans on the buffet if it had just died. Big turn off for me

One word: WOW. They have a huge deli section including whole rotisserie duck and chicken (and hog, but you have to special order it). I buy many groceries here. Everything from sauces to seasonings to vegetables to frozen ice creams and RABBIT! I have yet to try their live seafood. Im in love.

While i havent been in a lot of Asian markets, this store was recommended to me by someone who has. It seemed to have an impressive selection. I definitely will return. That said, the live seafood section seemed a little rough and one of the things I bought was expired.

All of the aquariums were loaded with dead fish, crabs, shrimp. Listening to the fish die, being beat with a mallot before being sold....All of the "live" fish had their fins cut off..they could not swim. What a bunch of crap!

Check your receipt before you leave the store. You will find extra items on your receipt that you did not purchase. They will charge you twice for one item. Never trust the cashiers at MD oriental market.
