I have shopped here frequently and I love their selection of imported goods, especially their selection of Sake’. When I found out they were hiring, I jumped at a chance to work at such a multi-cultured establishment. When I turned in my application, I asked to speak to the manager, and this is where it all went south. Before I even got to introducing myself and express my gusto for working for her business, I was immediately berated for even attempting to put in an application. I was told that I don’t have experience and I’m not what they are looking for. According to them, their products are difficult to stock. When I tried to express how I love the Asian culture, it was met with, “I’M NOT SELLING ASIAN CULTURE, I’M AMERICAN!” I was appalled with how she unprofessional she was. What’s even worse is when I mentioned that some of the products were written in Kanji, I was asked, “What is Kanji?’ I tried to explain that it originated in China, and AGAIN I was cut off, this time by her husband. “You speak Chinese?” First of all, it isn’t, “Chinese” it’s Mandarin. I was told over and over again that I don’t have what it takes to work for them. It’s stocking, not rocket science. I’ve written massive papers, done college level math, scientific experiments, and much more difficult things in my college career. Not only are the owners unprofessional, but they are FAKE. The only thing that is authentic is the goods they sell. No longer will I set foot in this establishment.

I always enjoyed going here to shop. They have a great selection of food and products. They also have a back building too! The people who run the place deeply care about it, but also get misunderstood. The owner Mrs.Kim can come off very rude to some, but its just her personality. Shes protective of her store and works very hard. Her husband is a very kind and helpful man and their daughter also manages it. Just a tip, try to research about what you are looking for before you come in if you want to make a recipe. If you are wondering about applying, its a relaxed job. Just be a QUICK learner with thick skin because Mrs.Kim can become very impatient and harsh which chased a lot of employees away. It helps to know the products they sell very well. They need you to be as independent as possible when it comes to working there. They arent going to tell you what to do, they will just expect you to fulfill all the needs they taught. Other than that, they are people with good hearts and most the customers are very sweet and kind as well. Hope this helps!

I love going to this market, you can find the exotic when in season. Like now the lychee are in and the jackfruit and other delicious but hard to pronounce fruit and vegetables are there to give you the nutrition your body needs to keep healthy and vital. They also have the fresh young coconuts which you have to open with a big knife or one of coconut openers which they also sell. They have special green ,white and oolong teas from the mountains of japan or china that are just divine to drink and sit and be in silence when it comes tea time of the day. Also you can get your fish fresh from the fish tanks they there large and small that they will clean for you. I love this market and the employees are very friendly and helpful. I will always shop here got to go Im on my way there now to get me some teas and fruit and vegetables, have a lovely day.

My wife and I went here last night because we needed a few items for our dinner and its around the corner from us. When there, I had a craving for Wanton soup. We couldnt find anything to make it. We only found the microwavable soup, but we dont have a microwave. We asked the lady (I believe shes the owner) what to do. She walked us around the store telling us which items we needed to make it from scratch instead of the microwavable Wanton soup. When we got home, we made the soup and LOVED it!!! Well definitely be going back there to get our items needed for Asian food. The lady was very helpful, funny and very kind to us.

2 store buildings with a covered outside walkway between. Fenced in parking lot. The place has many items common to most of the other oriental/asian groceries in the Pinellas and Hillsborough counties. Dry goods, refrigerated and frozen goods. No food to order available, strictly grocery. Good selections, decent prices. Friendly staff. If you know what to look for then youll have a quick shopping trip. If you have never shopped in one before, take the time to peruse each aisle and ask the staff what things are. Making this my goto for now in this part of the county.

Awesome finds! They carry many Hawaii products such as Hawaiian Sun juices, Aloha Maid juices, Hawaiian Isles Kona Coffee (Chocolate Macnut is my favorite), crack seed/li hing mui, lemon peel, Aloha Shoyu, Halms/Man Nani Korean BBQ marinade (the best ever), kimchee, Lup Cheong, Furikake, Arare, nori, ebi, Tako, Ika, purple/Okinawan sweet potato, kobocha pumpkin, Filipino sausage, and plenty more stuff that you cant find at larger Asian Markets!

Its a decent store to get some of the harder to find Korean ingredients, especially the kimchi/pickled foods that are not found in the larger asian stores in the area such as MD Oriental. The store actually has two sections connected by an outdoor walkway, so it is much larger than it appears from the outside. The store can use an updated appearance and it does not have a fresh fish. Overall a decent store with fair prices.

Has a good selection, but beware of expired products. Bought frozen seaweed one time and it was one month old, didnt realized. I just went there the other day and they were giving out little ginseng bottles, took a sip and thought it was shady to just give free things, checked the bottle and it said expired Sept. 2016... Please always check the expiration dates before buying certain items...

Id just wanted to share my experience when I shipped my balikbayan box. Kim (owner of the store) told us that it would take 4-6 weeks to arrive. She was accommodating by that time so we believed her. But when we were asking her about the tracking number after 2 weeks, it was a different story. Hate to talk to her again. Its been more than 2 months and still havent got my stuff.

I was wondering as many of you probably did, how is this place competing against the giant MD Oriental just down the street? Well there are things that you just wont find in big Asian groceries that youll find here. Balut, partially developed duck egg, being one you wont find readily anywhere. The place has its own charm and provides value in its own way.

Great market for Asian ingredients you cant get in normal supermarkets and very reasonably priced. Theres another area in a big tent behind the store which we didnt know at first because you have to go through a door. Lots of different spices and wide range too (lots of different types of fish sauce for example).

I love this store!!! This is the best Asian grocery store in the area. It has a great selection of various Asian foods from different countries, plus fresh veggies and frozen goods. It is always clean and neat and the owners are nice and have a great sense of humor. I just love shopping there.
