The tattoo "artist" working the day that I came into Solid Ink was incredibly rude and apparently did not have very steady hands. In a simple five-word phrase, he tattooed over one word two times, leaving two clearly overlapping attempts at the word "he". You would think that a professional in the field of providing permanent body art would take a little more pride in his work. In addition to the lackluster work itself, the attitude that was given to me upon entering the store was unnecessary. When asking what font I was interested in using, he printed out three different versions of script. I had already decided on one that could be found online, so he easily found the font and pulled it up. After he opened the file, he turned to his coworker, pointed at the screen, very obviously rolled his eyes and said to me that the font I wanted was "the same" as the fonts he had printed out. They were not. The attention to detail at this establishment is laughable. I strongly suggest that anyone interested in getting a tattoo in the Tallahassee area stay away from Solid Ink. I know that I will be getting my tattoo redone elsewhere.

Rick at Solid Ink has done my leg, chest and entire back and has done an incredible job! He even did an amazing job covering crappy tattoos I got when I was younger. This is hands down the best tattoo shop in Tallahassee. The shop is clean and they are very nice, very respectful and very proffessional. They are the best and all the other shops in town are just intimidated. Seriously, notice that almost all their bad reviews also promote another tattoo shop in town. As a loyal customer I thought it was time someone stood up for them since all these haters are trying to bring them down.

SOLID INK IS THE BEST TATTOO AND PIERCING SHOP IN TALLAHASSEE! My boyfriend and I have had several original, beautiful, professional, and of extreme artistic quality tattoos done by RIck over the past several years and I have had several piercings by Carlene! You cant ask for better service and a cleaner environment and to top it all off all of the employees are PROFESSIONAL, NICE, ACCOMODATING, UNDERSTANDING, PERSONABLE, and above all SOBER through the whole process! Thank you Solid Ink for setting a high standard in the tattoo and piercing world! WE LOVE Yall!

Decent work...but I was fought every step of the way when I came in to get retouched by the same artist who did it. I was told I was "picking it apart" which just shows how unprofessional and RUDE they are. Something permanent on MY body should be something that I want, not a matter of the artists own pride. The artist didnt even end up doing exactly what I had asked for. Not to mention in the end it was $210 for an hour and a half tattoo! If you really want to come here then be hesitant, but if youre a first timer theyll eat you alive.

Ive had 22 of my 32 piercings done at Solid Ink by Carlene. She is definitely the best piercer in town and follows up with anything her clients need. I got a corset piercing done a few months back and have been in a dozen times since for her to check how things are healing. She never charges me and is always excited to help! I even had my nose re-pierced by Carlene after the one Bink did for me got infected. I highly recommend her work to anyone interested in a clean, professional piercing experience.

BEST IN FLORIDA!! I sat getting ink for 7 straight hours by one of the best artist I have ever seen! I will put Rick up against any artist in the US and wont break a sweat in co-signing to those words. Not only did he do the best tattoo sleeve of 2011, but offered me lunch when his wife brought pizza to the shop. Excellent freehand artist and makes the process of tattooing less stressful with hilarious conversation. Thank you Solid Ink, you have a customer for life. One.

Havent had a new tatoo in 6 years and this place was a great choice for my newest! It is a VERY clean facility with a great staff. Rick did a fantastic job helping me decide on exactly what I wanted and Marias tatoo work was awesome. She was very pleasant during the tatoo with a great sense of humor. I highly recommend choosing Soid Ink for your next tatoo.

The owner Ryan is really awesome. My husband and I went in for a few minor touch ups yesterday and Ryan stayed 2 1/2 hours past closing time to accommodate both of us. He was friendly and willing to stay until we both were completely satisfied. Needless to say we tipped him very well and will go back to have any further work done. Thanks Ryan!

I wont go anywhere but here to get my ink. My Hubby and I both only go here. We just recently went and got tatts from Rick, who is the best. The entire staff is very friendly and they dont put up with bullshit. I would recommend this place to anyone and have recommended them to many others. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is great.

They arent very good compared to other shops such as Sistine Skin or Euphoria. I think they are pretty good at doing basic things but nothing mind blowing. I am posting a bad review here but of course its best to see for yourself, dont rush into it and check out other tattoo places as well. From what Ive experienced this one is not the best.

Had couple done there then one day this company staff just totally drop the ball on a group of us coworkers getting tattoos...I got the crappiest tattoo ever ...im stuck with it ..and it was the owner .... a tattoo owner that cant tattoos who knew..and was in no way.will to fix it untile I gave him another hundred buck ..stay away ...

Clean, sterile, friendly, knowledgeable, doesnt get much better. Family owned business, very comfortable environment. Carlene is the best in town; best prices and best service. Dermal anchors, piercings and tattoos, I highly recommend solid ink. Ive had four piercings done here so far all positive experiences and Ill be back for more

When I walked in, it didnt seem like a tattoo shop, it was so clean it seemed more like a doctors office. The staff there are so friendly and every single one of them are amazing artists. The pricing was reasonable, but for the quality and experience I had, it was most definitely worth it. I plan on coming back in the future.

Once you walk in the door you will know what a professional tattoo shop should be like. The artists are amazing and the shop is the cleanest I have ever been in. And, they are friendly and treat you the way a customer should be treated. Definitely the best in town.

This place is THE PERFECT tattoo parlor. The staff is incredibly chill and they work with you. Alot of parlors make the customer feel uncomfortable or pressured but not this place. It is clean as hell and a fun experience. I get all my work done here.
