Yesterday, April 20, 2017, I visited this thrift store. I found quite a bit of merchandise that I wanted to buy, including some books. At the book area in the store, it is clearly marked how much each book is, whether it is soft cover or hard, and the prices. During the ringing up at the front of the store, the books I was attempting to buy were pulled aside and I was told that I could not buy them. I explained that the prices on books are explained in the book area. I was told that, as the prices for the books had been removed, I could not buy them for 24 hours. I asked if they thought I was trying to get the books for less than what they were indicated on the wall in the book department. I was told that the Store Manager would talk to me. I was again told that I could not buy the books that day. The person identified as the store manager told me that no matter what, those particular books would not be purchased that day. I have never been so insulted and embarrassed in my life. I was treated as if I were a criminal or a person that had insulted them somehow. I had over thirty other items that I was buying, and the cost of them was close to $200, not including the books. I was not afforded an opportunity to pay the price of the books that were clearly priced in the book section. I do not know if the books were special, and had to have a separate price on them. Certainly I would have allowed the store manager to price them. If they believed I had removed the price tags, they could have told me that, but they denied that when I put that question to them directly. If the items were supposed to be price differently prior to being put out, then someone didn’t do their job correctly, and I was being punished for it. Or perhaps the items were going to be purchased by the manager herself, or someone she knew, and had placed the items on the floor to guarantee that no one could buy them that day. I don’t know what the situation was, but it made me feel horrible. If this is how they make customers feel when there is an internal error made at the store, then something needs to change. If you punish a customer by making them feel horrid due to an employee not pricing an item, you will certainly see less people buying at your facility. This manager was rude, hurtful and disdainful. If this is how you want customers to feel, then there is something very wrong. As it was, I left all of my items at the front of the store. I did not use profanity of any kind, but I may have raised my voice. I certainly told the store manager that what she had done was horrible and ridiculous. I stand by that. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE if you want to enjoy yourself or have a fun time shopping. You have been warned.

Wonderful volunteers at this extremely organized thrift shop. Just when I was about to give up on finding something for my 10 gallon aquarium to rest upon, my discovery of a black, wooden end-table became a possibility. Wanting a second opinion, a smile and hello to another customer, and also a store clerk, helped my decission. My $7.88 table purchased, works beautifully! The atmosphere and care of the store gives the feel of vintage, not second hand.

Found 2 sets of books that were not priced. I was accused of removing the stickers to get a better price. I understand there is fraud happening in those places, but blaming and punishing good customers for a couple of bad ones is not right either. I would kindly ask that you find a better solution.
