Been taking my dog for grooming for 5 years at this place. They weren't amazing, but the price was reasonable and my dog always came back fine. I've even brought my dog to the training program at this place. Never had any problems until today: the girl at the desk rudely told me that last time, my dog was "difficult" and that I would be charged an extra $6 handling fee up front this time and possibly more depending on "how he was." Now, in the 5 years I've been coming here, never have I experienced this--no one has ever complained about my dog. And we even tip extra at this terrible place--for what, I'm not sure. What they should have done was let me know there was a possibility of being charged the extra handling fee this time AFTER the session instead of charging for how he behaved LAST time. The charge shouldn't be "rolled over" to this session before we've even set foot inside the place, especially since there's never been a problem in FIVE years. As a repeat and loyal customer of Petsmart, I'm disgusted and disappointed. The staff needs to be trained in customer service because this is NOT the way to do business. And Petsmart--please lose my number--don't call me in the summertime asking for me to come back when you have no business. I'll be going to Green Paws instead in Plantation. It's a little higher priced than Petsmart, but you get what you pay for, people.

I used to go to this place over the past 4 years for my small terrier dog’s grooming. Today, like what I used to do in the past, I called in the morning, the lady who does the grooming every time was not available but since I was getting ready for a party in my place, I arranged an appointment at 5:30 p.m. with a new groomer (Sharon). I drove about 20 minutes, and when I got there, after the wait in the front, as I mentioned that I’ve brought my dog for a haircut, she yield at me that she doesn’t have time! And I should’ve been there at 5:00 p.m.!! I was shocked for a few seconds. I showed her the text message from Petsmart that my appointment was set for 5:30 p.m. she yield that they want to close at 9 p.m., and they need at least four hours to do the job. And I was like, hey not my fault; “you should’ve not arranged the appointment for 5:30 p.m. when you have such like constraint” I said. She started going through my dog’s hair (trying to find an excuse not to do the job) and arguing with me that you dog is matted – my dog had “very small” matted area on his legs – and I will not have time, to comb the dog, and do the grooming. She brought her manager, Sarah. The manager was not accommodating, and arguing that I should’ve told them that my dog is matted when I was arranging the appointment. I was surprised and said I’ve been here with the same condition over the past four years, and have never had such an arguments, and difficulties. Finally, they were like go do whatever you want to do we don’t care!! As a conclusion, they gave me a wrong appointment time and instead of accommodating for their mistake, they started to find excuses in a very rude manner – terrible costumer service!!

I want to have my cat groomed. I called Petsmart 2 months ago to make an appointment. They said I had to call Mon-Thurs between 11 and 5 because those are the hours the car groomer is there. I have called five times over the past two months during those hours and for some reason, no matter what random day or time in that range I call, the cat groomer is never there. Today I call and she is off. I said how annoying it was because I kept calling and nobody ever wants to help and the guy says, "Yeah well this is her last week anyway so starting next week we wont be grooming cats anyway." WTF? Had I not said I was annoyed about calling so many times, he wouldnt have even mentioned it. I said, "Then just schedule me for whenever you can this week." He says, "Did you cat have a recent rabies shot?" I said no because my cat is an indoor animal and the only one I have. Well, even though I have been trying to make an appointment for two months, this is the first time theyve bothered to mention that I have to get a rabies shot for her. Dont even bother... they cant schedule or give you requirements despite your best effort to make an appointment.

ATTENTION EVERYBODY!!!! Please be careful with your pets. I took my dogs just to get a bath at petsmart in Plantation,Florida, their appointment was at 9:00 AM. (First appointment of the day) after 6 hours and 30 minutes I decided to go back to the store because I never heard from them. The soon I pull in the parking lot I heard my poor Sarahi barking like crazy, when I asked for my dogs the groomer "Kelly" said: oh I am sorry they are not ready come back later. I demanded them immediately. My poor dogs were in a cage, without food and be able to go to the bathroom or move like they are used to. that is animal cruelty. I dont know what happened in there, her face got burn or scratched I dont know what happen,, when I went back to talk to the manager Alissa, she got the nerve to tell me that it didnt happen in there, OMG I wanted to punch that stupid in her F...ing face. Please I want everyone to know what happen in there and please dont let your pet get hurt like mine did. Please pass this to everyone, I dont want to wherever happen to me, happens to you or someone that you know PLEASE!!! They dont care

The worst service and inexperienced staff for grooming. Went with two mini Chihuahuas for simple nail clippings. Advised the attendant that the oldest is a little nervous and would probably need one person to hold while the other clips. Of course, when all you have is high school age people working in grooming what do you expect. Needless to say, we took the receipt to go pay and decided to get some dog food. We were only about 15 feet away from the grooming section when they page us to come asap. When we return, this "attendant" advised that our dog would not allow her to cut the nails. We should have learned our lesson when we stopped going to Petsmart in Pembroke Pines after they claim they could not find my dog who was left there for grooming. After 15 minutes they found my dog. But lessons learned again- definitely the worst service and most inexperienced individuals working at Petsmart. Went to Petco instead and we were in and out in 5 minutes. Of course, they had 3, experienced pet groomers who know what they are doing. Sorry Petsmart you lost a customer for good this time.

I am so disappointed with this Petsmarts employees. As I was starting my aquarium, I was given all different kinds of information about fish, their needs, the water balance, and so on. They seemed to be extremely knowledgeable. Trusting these "fish experts", I set up my tank and add a few goldfish.. (and there have been nothing but problems from the get go.) I take my water to be tested, and SURPRISE, there is a new issue. Every time. I am told to buy a new product each time I go in. I started to have my doubts and did a lot of my own research online, in books, at other nearby fish stores; and it turns out that everything I was told was absolutely 100% false and incorrect. The biggest problem I have are four goldfish and a plecostomus in a ten gallon tank... Not safe. Now I have ammonia-diseased fish and a consistently cloudy tank. Dont bother asking for the manager. She is always either on break, not there, or in a meeting. The few chances I have been able to speak to her Ive realized shes just as animal-illiterate as the rest of them.
