I would first like to say that I apologize for having to make this review, I tried to deal with it myself, but I was very disappointed. My husband bought me flowers last week for my birthday. The arrangement was pretty, he knows which flowers are my favorite, however there were several things that left much to be desired. Firstly, the stems of the flowers were so short they had to put a green foam in the vase to hold them. Now Im not a florist, so maybe theres a purpose to that, but the list continues. Secondly, the water was so low that the foam and stems did not sit in the water at all, when I filled the vase so the flowers would last, the green foam broke apart in the water making it dirty and cloudy, so still maybe theres a purpose right?? Thirdly, within 3 days the flowers began to stink like they were rotting, and many were dying so I took them out of the foam vase to move them to clean water without the foam and the ends of the flowers were shredded. Not cut at an angle like most florists, or even cut at all, but ripped apart as if torn by hand. The stems of the lilies were so short they were hard to salvage, they only had about 3 inches of stem. (the vase was about a foot tall, so you can imagine how bad it looked to have a tall clear vase with green foam which took up the top 3 inches and then just a few stems sitting beyond, also shredded) Fourthly, All of the roses had metal wire holding them up and all of those died very quickly. I was very disappointed to hear that he spent over $60 on this arrangement. I am very disappointed that they have so many stars and would be so careless. I felt bad for the flowers, they were handled without any love or compassion and I do not recommend Designs by Carmen to anyone.

Ironically, Im in Arkansas too just like previous reviewer, and chose this florist due to other great reviews. I refuse to order flowers from the giant websites, too many horror stories. My friends son unexpectedly passed away and the service was for a Monday evening. I called Monday morning and asked if she could do up something on such short notice. I told her the situation, told her what budget I had (not a big one, I promise), and basically just had to trust shed do something decent. She was very, very nice, but considering I was a thousand miles away, could have easily taken advantage of the situation and thrown a few daisies in a cup and Id have been stuck. Today, I got a call from my friend. She said the arrangement was far and away the brightest and most beautiful one there, and the funeral directors had put it as the centerpiece of all the arrangements. She said everyone was talking about it. My friend said her sons wife was overwhelmed with how lovely it was. So Carmen, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for taking such good care of my friends family. You literally gave them a bright spot in their dark time with your talents. God bless you, Ill forever be grateful.

I am beyond impressed with Designs by Carmen! I contacted Designs by Carmen a few months out from my wedding because the first florist I tried would not listen to me and I felt was charging me too much just because it was a "wedding." Carmen was the exact opposite of everything I had been dealing with - I met with him (and his SWEET wife) he not only listened but was so incredibly accommodating to my needs. He answered all of my questions and really put me (a nervous bride) at ease! His product/flowers are SO fresh and beautiful! Honestly, when I saw my wedding day flowers I was blown away - almost to tears. They were EXACTLY what I wanted but even better...SO BEAUTIFUL. Carmens work speaks for itself but on top of that - he is running a family business. Everyone is so down to earth and sweet there. Just GOOD PEOPLE. Thank you Carmen (SO MUCH) for making my wedding a fairytale. It was even more beautiful than I dreamt it would be! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!

I live in Arkansas and had purchased flowers from Carmen months ago for a friend who lives in PC who had just gotten surgery. I called in and told them why I was sending flowers, my price range, and a beautiful bouquet of flowers was swiftly delivered to my friend. They are always extremely nice and helpful when I call. They take direction for whatever occasion you are giving flowers for and will make a beautiful bouquet for you. I loved Carmen and their service so much that I called them again yesterday. My friend was having a hard time at work and I wanted to send flowers to cheer her up. I talked to them, explained that I wanted something cheerful and my price range and they gave me a price, and expected time of delivery. The bouquet was delivered quickly, was beautiful, and was exactly the cheerful bouquet I had imagined for my friend!! I will definitely be a returning customer and recommend them to everyone!!!

I received a bouquet of flowers from Designs by Carmen for Valentines. The arrangement itself was pretty but overcrowded by greenery, thats how they make it look "grand" without busting your wallet. The floral foam they used to hydrate the flowers was suspended midway in the vase, some of the flowers ended inside the styrofoam but others were dug past it. This is a bit unprofessional as the end of the flowers needs to be within the foam. Something else that was unprofessional was a clear vase with the green styrofoam sticking out like a sore thumb, they could have easily kept it out of sight by wrapping large tea leaves around it. Every rose in my arrangement was sustained by a floral wire which tells me the flowers were not very fresh and they indeed died out before the week was over.

I had waited to order flowers for my Mothers birthday until it came the day. I called from London at my 9am to leave an order on the shops answering machine and .........it was answered by Carmen herself at her 3am in FL. She took my order!!! She had apparently just received a new shipment of beautiful flowers of all types. My testimony is this: there was rave reviews of an early delivery and that the arrangement was very beautiful and full of color; "very beautiful". My friends, that was dads review! Carmen and his wife are absolutely amazing!!!! Last minute for us came through above and beyond. If they dont have it, youre not going to find it. Real down home friendly people I want to do business with. Oh, an price wise, beyond fair. My personal suggestion, look no further. They will do it, you will be happy. Here is prime example of their work. My bride is elated!!!! A million thanks guys.

Carmen is a very sweet Lady, I ordered flowers and she did very well, she did exactly what I told her to do, I will recommend anyone to buy flowers from her, and even if you want to deliver it, she will do exactly the same way you want, and on time.
