I give it three stars for primarily three reasons: 1. The selection isnt very good; it just seems to be whats hot, then basics, then stuff you wonder ... will it still be there when they close their store 50 years from now? 2. They keep it WAY too cold. 3. Its always a tad dirty, like no one ever bothers to vacuum the place after closing. But the most unforgivable thing: the mens bathroom is TERRIBLE. The whole thing needs to be gutted and made anew. Corporate should see it now. And no one, appearently, makes any effort to clean it to even a "satisfactory" level. I cant speak for the womens bathroom. Staff always seems nice enough, the music overhead is always decent (though they cant seem to fix the double play -- same thing being placed twice at the same time, off by some odd seconds), and you can go in there and read a whole book or magazine and no one leans on you for it. I have a few creative ideas to make it better and bring in more business, but then again ... I dont work there.

I dont know if the cashiers are completely misinformed or are just trying to make sales. They were pushing free trials for magazines and assured me that I would not be charged automatically after the trial was up. I specifically asked this question and told them I would not sign up for something if I was going to be charged automatically. I was reassured that this would not happen and that I would be sent something in the mail to buy the magazine if I chose to at a later date. Well, well, well...now I have $50 worth of magazines that I do not want on my debit card and had to call and get my card blocked from future purchases. The only reason I knew these charges were from them is because I called the # on my account statement and it was the magazine company. I certainly hope BAM does the right thing and fixes this...

Actually the store is fairly nice but my rating has more to do with customer service. While I was in the store today I went to the registers to order a book. Found out the book isnt available to ship to the store, no problem, I want the book, it can ship to my address and Im willing to pay for the book PLUS shipping. Began giving my info to the clerk...name, address, phone number, email....then the store phone rings and the employee answers it and begins looking up books for the caller!!! RUDE!!!!!! Im standing right there ready to pay! Needless to say I walked out. Hello...they even had my phone number and email address and could have reached out to me. I will take my business elsewhere and would recommend anyone to do the same.

The store was very cluttered (is this a book store or a toy store?), and the Joe Muggs had napkins all over the floor. I visited at the very end of the day, just before closing. Still, trash should not be allowed to accumulate on the floor. The news rack area is on the opposite side from the Joe Muggs which is inconvenient since the time Im most looking for a magazine or newspaper is when Im sitting drinking coffee. The selection of art supplies, journals, puzzles, and models all seemed to be low quality brands. If theyre going to diversify into areas other than books and magazines, they should at least sell quality stuff. I had to wait at the checkout to buy my stuff as well.

This is a great book store, they have a huge selection of books and magazines. Also they have great coffee, and unique gifts and gift cards. The staff is always courteous to help you find the book youre looking for and if they cant they can order it for you.

A great store with a ton of different books & merchandise. The only complaint that I can give is that they are very slow in getting out their periodicals/magazines. Other than that, the staff is extremely helpful. Definitely a place worth checking out!

I ordered a book from Books A Million-their 3rd party BOOK SEALERS. I never got the book. Books_a_ Million only gave me credit for the book- nothing on shipping. I will never order from them again. They kept the price for shipping!!! Buyer Beware!!

Cant ever go wrong in books-a-million, have been going there for probably 10 plus years and its always a pleasurable experience, and the cafe Coffee Bar is ok too. Prices are just a little too high or would have been a 5 star rating

Great selection. Will order what they dont have in stock. Reasing areas to peruse before tou buy. Kids area with toys and storytelling, even a tv playing video watched from a seat in the train. Kids learn to love books here.

The staff is friendly, and more than willing to help you find a specific book youre looking for, the cafe is good, and they are quick to get your drinks out, and the selection of books and merchandise is fantastic.
