I purchased a battery from an Atlanta store; I was told the warranty policy would apply at any location. This location tested the battery, recharged the battery, and tested the alternator they told me that everything was good on my car. Within 24 hours of these test the car displayed the same problems. I took the car the following morning to a different auto parts store to have the same test redone. The battery tested bad. I was also told by a local that Auto Zone has a reputation here in Panama City for doing this to people. They prey on tourist that will not be in town long to follow up on their warranty policies. I called the Auto Zone store to inform them of the new results and was told to bring the car back up there to have the same test conducted. I wasted 3 hours the previous day having them test the battery. Someone by the named of Mark informed me that I would have to go through the same test that was done the previous day before Auto Zone will even look in to the warranty policy on the battery. This was a total waste of time. I recently purchased a battery from NAPA so far so good. The car is performing the way it is supposed to.

Do not spend your money here, especially not if you are buying anything with a warrenty. They do not honor warrenties. I purchased some spark plug wires for $40 and a coil pack for $70. I did not know what kind to get, so they looked it up for me and sold it to me. I installed them myself. A couple of weeks later, my car was having the same problem, so I brought it to machanic. He said that I had the wrong type of wires on my car. (Thats right, they sold me the wrong wires.) The incorrect wires messed up the coil pack. I went to exhange for the correct stuff at autozone on hwy 98 (panama city), but I could not locate my reciept. I did not think that would be an issue since they get your info everytime you buy something anyway. WRONG. These crooks told me that even though the wires I have, are the wires that they carry, I could prove that they sold them to me and they will not honor any kind of refund or exchange. IF YOU NEED TO GET PARTS FROM SOMEWHERE, GO ANYWHERE BUT THIS AUTOZONE. THEY MAKE GUARANTEES, BUT NOT EVEN PRETEND TO BACK THEM!

I was so impressed by these guys that I promised to contact their corporate HQ to put in a good word for them. So often all you hear is negative, but the service and help they provided me warranted my post.I was looking for an obscure crankcase breather filter for my 2000 Suzuki Bandit 1200. They went out of their way to find a solution to my problem, and I was thoroughly pleased and satisfied with the results. Sorry Tonia had a bad experience with her battery, but Ill bet a dollar to a donut the battery exchange policy is there for a reason and can not be circumvented at the local store level. Im going back to Auto Zone for all my regular maintenance supplies from now on, even though I may pay a little bit more. Its good to have a knowledgeable, competent team of professionals on my side if more complex problems arise. Thanks again Dennis, Scotty, and Stan!

Complete morons. If it wasnt for the computer systems they would most likely sell you a car seat cover as an air filter!!! Even at that, theyre systems had me pull apart my air system to replace my starter only to learn it wasnt anywhere near it! If youre going to work at an auto parts store, at least have some knowledge of what your selling!
