This place is horrible! Customer service is awful and ignore your issues. I originally went in due to a piece of contact being stuck in my eye. The doctor looked in my eye and made me feel stupid and told me there was nothing in my eye. A week later the piece of contact finally came out. Of course while I was there I paid for the visit even though he didnt do anything. Its been almost a year and the office still calls me and sends me letters in the mail saying I did not pay for the visit. I have called numerous times telling them that I paid and even went to the extent to send them my credit card record of it. Today I got another letter in the mail saying I owe them money. Seriously? At this point Im am very frustrated and of course every time I call they say ignore the issue. I would send your money somewhere else.

While visiting Orlando on a family vacation I desperately needed my eye checked out. Went to several places and thankfully we found SW Orlando Eye Care. They took me in as a walk-in appointment and within 15 mins I was seeing Dr. Nowell. He quickly diagnosed my eye issue and provided a prescription to get relief and healing. He also provided me with direction on future contact habits. He and his team took great care of me and my family and we were able to enjoy the rest of our vacation. To top it off I received a thank you card in the mail from them with well wishes about our vacation. There are 3 states between us!!! Wow. Well done SW Orlando Eye Car team.

Great Experience! Upon recommendation, I recently made an appointment with Dr. Nowell at Southwest Orlando Eye care. I was greeted by his friendly staff and was seen promptly. The exam only took a few minutes. I opted to have the extra tests to check the overall health of my eyes. It was quick, easy and did not require having my eyes dilated which was important because I was driving myself. I was in and out and on my way within 45 mins. I recommend Dr. Nowell and his staff because they were professional, friendly, respectful of my time and knowledgeable with my eyes and what I needed. Gina S.

The service was excellent. All my questions were answered in a manner I could understand. He discovered a cataract and recommended a remarkable surgeon. The cataract was removed and replaced with a lens that corrected my eye site. I had forgotten what it was like to see clearly. The follow up visits are with Southwest Orlando Eye Care, which has been amazing and instructed me to call them if I experience any problems. What an extraordinary experience! Dr. John Nowell is a true professional. He took his time with my examination and ended up prescribing the newest BlueTech lenses for my situation. I spend too much time on the computer and my eyes have computer fatigue. My new glasses are stylish and customized for my computer screen distance and primary use. My eyes feel less strained already! If I could rate it a zero I would! Customer service is awful!!! The receptionist, Beatrice, hung up on me mid conversation, RUDE! I was not not being rude to her or anything. I just simply asked her why she couldnt have explained to me prior to the day of my appointment that they did not accept my insurance (after I specifically asked that question before I made the appointment). Well Im glad I never actually made in if this is what I would have had to deal with.

I finally found a great eye doctor! I have seen several eye doctors and could not find a good one who actually cared about his patients until now. Dr. Nowell is a wonderful doctor and, they are really hard to come by these days. He is thorough, honest, and caring. He even stays open late some days to accommodate patients who need to come in after work. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an eye doctor.

This optical clinic is great place to visit to get an eye exam and buy more than one frame. The staff is amazing and available to help. The eyewear collection this clinic has is really really amazing and belief me when you visit them you will end up buying more than one bear. Very pleased to find this place after visiting many eyeglass stores without success. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was able to find an excellent set of frames within my price range, and the lenses will have a premium coating, transitions and some other desirable features at a surprisingly low price. Definitely the best eyeglass place I have found in Orlando! Highly recommend.

It is such a pleasant experience having your eye examination at Southwest Orlando Eye Care. Dr. Nowell and his staff are so professional, nice and accomodating. Its a great office with a wide variety of glasses....something for everyone! And the best thing is, I didnt have to get my eyes dilated. They have the most up to date equipment, that takes place of that.

Dr. Nowell has a great chairside manner. My child was really stressing about having drops put in her eyes. He was able to calm her down and distract her so that the exam could be completed. Kay in the front office will really go to bat for you and has nothing but your best interest at heart. Highly recommend this staff & office.
