(REPLY TO OWNER AT THE BOTTOM) HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT THIS DEALER. I went to Prado Auto Sales for a Mustang they posted online. I went in, checked out the car and everything was fine until I signed the papers. I made it clear to the manager that I would not purchase the car unless they gave me warranty. They werent offering a dealer warranty so the manager suggested an extended warranty. They ran the numbers and with the extended warranty everything was affordable so I purchased the car.. 6 MONTHS LATER, the transmission goes bad on the car. Mind you, the car was only 4-5 years old with about 35,000 miles and a clean Carfax. I take the car to a Ford dealership to get checked out, and tell them to contact my extended warranty company so they can take care of the damages. The assistant at Ford told me it wouldnt be a good idea to call the extended warranty company because they would send an inspector, deny my claim, and the rest of my extended warranty would be nullified because the car had too many upgrades. At this point I was confused because I bought the car this way straight from the dealer and they were the ones who suggested extended warranty. To make an EXTREMELY long story short.. Prado Auto Sales sold me on a warranty I basically couldnt use just to sell me the car; I ended up spending close to $3,000 on parts and labor to fix it; and when I asked Prado if they could take back the car they lowballed me on the trade in price and I was left upside-down about another $1500 even though I gave them $7,500 AS A DOWNPAYMENT. They completely ripped me off.. REPLYING TO OWNER: Hello, thanks for the response. I am going to answer a few of your inaccurate points. 1.) I did not choose a 5-Speed Manual Transmission car like you said, it was in fact a 6-Speed Manual Transmission. I encourage you to please know more about your vehicles since you are in fact, a car dealership. 2.) I have had manual transmission cars in the past and not once did I experience transmission failure. My mother drove the car home because it had been a while since I drove a manual transmission and I didnt want to risk the slightest chance at damaging the vehicle. I did that as a precaution which represents how willing I was to take care of the car. None the less, it was mainly being in shock for having my dream car in sight and I was driving fluently by the next day. 3.) The vehicle did not have "minor" performance upgrades. The salesman informed me the car had in the ball-park range of $5,000-$6,000 in aftermarket accessories, both visual and performance. About six months later when the transmission failed I found out the transmission itself even had aftermarket parts. I brought this is up to the manager and he claimed he didnt even know it had that.. Again. I would recommend having all the employees trained on knowing every detail about the cars for sale. 4.) And I agree you did tell me to go to Car Max EXCEPT that was after we insisted if you could please just take the car back so I, a 20-year old college student at the time wouldnt have to deal with an awful car you sold me an have an estimated $18,000 car loan off my head... I already mentioned before you took the car back, but not until you took another $1,500 from me after a $7,500 down payment. But yes just like you said, when we came to you for help to take the car back what you did was tell us to go elsewhere instead. When youre buying at Prado be aware they have no problem taking over $9,000 from a family of 3 which includes a single mother who gives everything she can to put her kids through school.

I purchased my car (a 2000 Landrover Discovery series II with approximately 62000 miles which I even checked the cars history with CARFAX and it checked out OK) at the end of September 2010 from Prado Auto Sales, and I also paid full current value for the car. Two weeks later the car began to overheat and I drove it to the dealer for repair as it was still covered under their 30 day warranty. After work, I go pick up my car and they tell me someone had put water in the car when in reality it needed coolant. The next day the car overheated again. I took it back to the dealer and was told it would be a few days for them to fix the problem. When we picked up the car Alex Prado informed us that we had to pay the mechanic $200.00 towards the bill, at the same time he told us not to worry about a pending charge for the title transfer that they didnt include in our bill of sale originally and that he would take care of it. On October 24th the car began to overheat again, this time we were told to contact the mechanic and he told us to bring it by the following Monday. He told us that we have to replace the head gasket and the radiator for a total cost of $1500.00,the mechanic also said to us that the dealer was aware this was the original issue and decided not to fix it because it was too costly, but they did tell us the car was fixed and ready to go, never mentioning it wasnt fixed, when in reality they had just temporarily "patched it". The dealer will not get back to us, or return any calls. As of today, I have a faulty car and no proper registration as they will not help us resolve this matter. We have called them several times to try to correct the matter with no avail.

My name is Yasoara Reyes and i must say my experience with Prado Auto sales has been unforgettable. Back in 2007 after I had my daughter I stayed without a job and unfortunately I was unable to continue paying my debts. My credit scores suffered and it has been very difficult for me since to get approved from any dealership. I was driving a 1998 Pontiac Transport minivan and it was affecting my daughter and my health because of all the molds it had due to water leakage from the roof. Finally, the van died on me and I had no option but to try and find a new car. I decided to go to Prado Auto sales for help considering I didn’t have any money saved at all for a new car. All I had was a broken van and five hundred dollars. Prado Auto sales really took away my worries and assisted me in the most amazing way. The stress any single mother can have being without a car was gone immediately after being helped from the staff in Prado Auto sales. Everyone was very attentive and so polite words honestly can’t explain how grateful and thankful I am to Prado Auto sales.

Disregard the comment below from "Henry". The negative comments are in fact for Prado Auto Sales in Miami, FL. Prado Auto Sales specializes in manipulating car seekers to purchase there damaged and mechanically disrupted vehicles. I have personally filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against Prado. I had a horrible experience with a purchase about a year ago with Prado. I purchased a 2009 Honda Accord LX that seemed to be in good condition. Two days after the sale, the A/C stopped working. Also, there was green radiator fluid on my driveway. I had a mechanic look at the car and he indicated to me that the A/C compressor had a leak and that the dealership was filling it up with freon every couple of days. Also, he saw that there was a leak in the Radiator and chewing gum was used to cover it up!! Chewing gum!!!!!!! I contacted Prado immediately and of course they denied everything! They kept insisting the sale was as is. I was screwed, and realized I purchased a knowingly lemon. Beware of these unethical pricks!!!!
