General Best Buy Experience: Attempted to purchase a TV using instore pickup. 4 hours later I receive an email telling me the item is no longer available. All the stores are closed and the phone number they give is an automated mess. Finally got transferred to what I thought might be the right department, only to get a quick pre-recorded message and hung up on. Meanwhile the website says they are available 24/7 and the live chat options mysteriously arent there (now that I dont have an expensive TV in my shopping cart). Competitors Cyber Monday deals are over and my money is tied up for 3-5 days. What a headache. Experience at this location: After waiting over 45 minutes for my confirmation email, I attempted to call the store to figure out what was going on. I was placed on hold for over an hour. Went into the store just so I could talk to somebody (I dont live far) and among the excuses given were "Its Cyber Monday" and "I dont make the schedule." Those arent the consumers problem. Especially when Best Buy happily took the money from my account, instantly, despite being understaffed and having a high volume of traffic due to cyber monday. Id like to add that I understand in store pickup is a convenience thing and the fine-print says that you might be wasting your time and money, but when this service is plastered all over the website, and even encouraged via a $50 gift card, it should work. Personally, I wont be returning to a Best Buy store or using their website for any future electronics purchase. Ive shopped Best Buy before and had little to no problems, but missing out on holiday TV deals because of Best Buys poor customer support is a pretty big bummer. The time and money I spent there today was all wasted and all I got was the runaround. I recommend using another trusted online retailer such as Amazon for real and dependable best buys. The wait-time for shipping is well worth the peace of mind.

I normally dont write reviews but this time I had to. Im in the military stationed in Japan and while I was on leave visiting my parents, I went to this store to purchase security cameras for their home. They are an older couple and dont know much about technology, thats why I specifically asked the salesman if they had an installation service. He checked the cameras we were gonna buy and he said best buy offered an installation service yes for $200. I told him it was perfect since I was about to leave a couple days after. We were about to purchase everything when my dad told me he had a giftcard at home, so I told the associate we will come later to finish the purchase. The next day when I was at the checkout counter another associate told me the installation fee was $400 not $200. This really upset me because of the fact that I was leaving the next day and if I would of known that the day before, I would of looked for another company but now it was too late. The manager Rachel told the associate to tell me she could take 100 off but I would still had to pay the $300 and said she would talk to the associate that told me it was $200 but she never apologized for the inconvenience nor even tried to talk to me. I was so upset I told my dad to return the cameras and we left. I will definitely not be coming back to this store.

Today I visited the Margates neighborhood Best Buy, where I had the intention of purchasing a lens for my newly bought D-SLR (that I got else where). Where almost immediately, a employee came to my aid (This kind guy was covering for someone else who didnt come in today). After some time with him, looking over some lens he had someone else come and assist him, and both of them sold me on two fabulous lenses. Sadly these items were not in stock.. Soon after finding this out they suggested that I speak to the customer service representative, where she can help with the online purchase, insure I can get the store price, use my Best Buy Credit Card and get Free Shipping to my home. Sounded like an amazing plan to me. This took a little bit more than an hour to find out, that all of Broward county was out of stock. About this time, I asked to see if purchasing the display was an option, because I did not want to leave with out a lens, but the manager said it was not possible (this was not said directly to me in person, rather over their hand held transceiver to the employee). I left empty handed today, and very disappointed, not with the great employees (who were only doing their jobs to the best of their ability), instead with the terrible service of the manager and the false advertising.

By far the worst. Whats the point of having a brick and mortar store if the people within it are not courteous, do not understand customer service, and do not know anything about the products they are selling or fixing. My parents stood in line for more than 30 minutes to get their computer repaired by Geek Squad. The computer was under warrantee. Once they were seen the Geek told them that they should have made an appointment and that they would not be seen! They had to wait an hour for their appointment time. Once appointment time came, the person just put the computer in a box and shipped it! I would have gotten better service if I had ordered in Amazon. Why do I need face to face service if this is what I get. Additionally, we called the Geek Squad multiple times trying to obtain a status on a repair. We were never able to get through. The person that responded the phone constantly dropped the line. Lastly, I had to buy a projector and accessories for my computer. The salesperson had no idea about the differences between different products. In the end he directed me to the internet. We ended up buying everything online and not from Best Buy. I think the time has come to shutdown this store. It is a waste of perfectly good real estate and electrical energy.

I purchased a dishwasher and paid for installation. It was delivered on 5/30 and "stuck" under my counter with out securing it in any way. When you open the door dishes fall out. The Geek squad dude George said he would be back with a necessary part by the end of the week. Next Monday 5/5 my husband called the store they said they would be out the next day. Wednesday I called and spoke to Corporate customer service. I spoke to 14 different people. Corporate customer service connected me to "Chris" at the Margate store. Chris said he would have Peter call me back. I asked what Peters last name was and Chris called ma a B****. My husband when into the store Wednesday night and spoke with manager Peter Villafurte. He said he would have it fixed the next day or call. No one called or fixed the installation. I have an appointment for another Geek to come out 6/14, do I believe that they will come? NO. By the way 6/14 is exactly 1 day after the 15 day guarantee ends, so I will be stuck with it when they come out. If they come out. Not one of Best Buys representative said what they Promised to do. Will I ever purchase anything from Best Buy again NO. Come on Peter Villafurte get out here and install this dishwasher.
