I went riding on my motorcycle today, and thought I would take a road trip down south to Addisions Gun Shop since the reviews were pretty good. Normally, I deal with The Armories and Oakridge. I walked in and the store has a country store feel to it, open and clean. I walk into the showroom I would call it, and I get the feeling I am not welcome there. While browsing with another customer in the same room, a employee asked if there was anything we could be helped to find, (I guess i misheard) because when I replied that I wasnt finding what I was looking for, his reply was "I wasnt talking to you." That was bad enough, but hoping to find help looking for more models of a certain type, I approached the counter and waited until I was given eye contact or greeted with anything, (eye contact it was) and asked about a certain model, he answered, but walked away quickly with no interest in helping me acquire what I was looking for, or helping me find other models I may prefer that they could get. They apparently have a range too, but it was never brought up. As a customer, I feel it is something that should be brought to my attention. But, they couldnt even just say hello, hi, or welcome so I didnt expect much. If you know what your looking for and they have it, then this store is as good as any that you walk into, pick up, pay and go. If you are looking for any form of customer service or have questions, avoid this place. I will continue to suggest, The Armories for great customer service and a friendly atmosphere, plus they will help you find or get what your looking for. Also Orlando Gun Club (Rifle/Pistol), Oakridge (Pistol) are great indoor ranges, Oakridge also has a nice selection of firearms and accessories as well. I

I grew up in the North East around rifles and hunting. I moved to Orlando FL at age 23 and figured that my hunting and shooting times were over. The gun shops in Orlando just didnt speak my language and treated me like an idiot. I was referred to Addison Gun Shop about 3 years ago from a good friend that has lived in Central Fl most of his life. He said that they know their stuff and wont simply try to sell you the latest fad. My friend was right. They are great and easy to talk to. I suppose if your one of the video gamer Call of Duty types that just wants to ask a bunch of irrelevant questions, they may encourage a shorter conversation. I purchased a nice Benelli slug gun from them and also has some work done to my Model 70 Winchester. Im very happy with the quality, service and price. They also have a 100 yard range that they use (not public) for testing if your repair requires it. Its a little bit of a drive for me (40 min), but its the only place Ive been going these last few years. Ive worked mostly with Walter (Gunsmith) and hes great. Listens well and then give his input. Top notch place. Period.

I had a great experience at Addisons Gun Shop. I was looking for a shotgun but just a novice. John helped me find a gently-used Browning over under and I could not be happier with the expert service. Im left eye dominant and have been shooting right-handed all my life. After 2 minutes he could tell that Im a lefty and have been craning to aim all my life. I almost bought a right-handed gun and would have regretted it for years! I am so thankful I went to the experts instead of a big box store. I am impressed at how friendly the entire staff are every time I go in to the shop. People are knowledgeable, patient and there is no pressure. Its so refreshing to get expert service from locals. The best part is Ive been shooting many times and the gun performs beautifully. Since John helped me get a gun that isnt really right or left handed, I can shoot it, then pass it to a friend whos right handed. Im relearning how to shoot sporting clays and having a ton of fun doing it. Thank you to everyone at the shop from a happy customer! Ben Stutzman

I went in there yesterday because the Glock website had them as an authorized dealer. I was looking to purchase my first gun and knew glock was a good company to choose but had no idea where to go to purchase from. I told them right away I was not sure exactly what was what and any info would be greatly appreciated! After about 20 mins I said ok and thanked them for their time and left. I went back today with my wife and they again helped both of us pick out guns we would like. They not once pressured us to buy anything and were very laid back and friendly. After about 30 minutes of more help and discussion I decided to pick up a glock 19. Even though I have to wait till next week to pick up the gun, I think the way I was treated I would go back there in a heartbeat! I highly recommend this store to anyone who is a avid shooter to the brand new novice owner like myself. I was not made fun of or treated differently at all just because I didnt know about certain things. Thank you again!

Member of the range, bought many great weapons from here. My dad bought a beretta 96a1 from them and i dropped it in the mud months later. They put me first and the owner personally cleaned the pistol which is no cake walk glock in just two days during the weekend. Will not re enlist for the range due to closing of the 50 and 100 yard area and cannot shoot fast to practice for real life scenario I am a licensed security guard in the kissimmee police academy and would appreciate to test my skills for just a clip or two. John is a great ccw instructor and overall nice and friendly atmosphere. One more con is their $50 transfer fee is steep since another pawn shop in town does it for $20. I would have used them for transfer atleast 6 times if their fee was $30 or less. Maybe they wouldnt have made the transfer because some of the weapons were available in store. All the staff are very knowledgeable. Will continue coming here for firearm needs as long as i live in kissimmee.

I choose to only go to Addisons. They have a very impressive store and selection of firearms. Even in this current ammo scare they maintain a nice supply of ammo. Even Walmart and Bass Pro are sending their customers there to have their needs met. They do not sell used guns as new, in fact they have their used guns labeled and seperated from their others. Guns are priced well and often are lower than other locations. They appraise guns for free and buy/trade if you want to go that route. They will work with you and determine a number of valid guns that will be good for you based on your budget and desires. They have a nice layaway program too. The customer service is very good and the store has a friendly atmosphere. I dont know what the reviewer (John Taylor) is talking about. Though I really wouldnt expect a guy who gets his "service" on the corners of OBT to know what quaity is anyway.

Ive used them before and they are both good and bad. The good - great prices and friendly employees. The bad- I purchased a RIA 1911 from Buds Gun Shop for 329.00 (cyber week deal) and they refused to transfer because they "Sold" RIA... they were not willing to price match WHICH I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND... but were refusing to take in free money because they wanted me to buy the more expensive products in store... I have been going to them for months and purchased there various times, from a shotgun to many other items. But as it is they lost a returning client because they did not want to take my money... (ridiculous) Also the owner made a rude comment about not competing because of people who buy online in pajamas who didnt want to get out of bed... maybe he needs to think about the client trying to save money and looking for good sales everywhere...
