I had the Backyard Chicken today, I think it was there as a special for 9.99, the presentation was great it came wrapped up in foil with corn on the cob, carrots, and potatoes.... HOWEVER, it was flavorless and I was very caught off guard because it looked pretty good. If I can characterize it, it tasted like chicken and vegetables simply boiled in.water zero flavor. I did perhaps think it was just me, maybe its one of those days that you just feel anything you eat is bland, my wife was enjoying her omelette with mixed vegetables, and we try to go there often. BUT, I realized it wasnt me when the table I was sitting next too was a lady with her daughter who had ordered the same thing, we both Lamented together, the manager even came. The lady refused her meal, but unfortunately I was hungry and TRIED to kill it with salt because my wife felt embarassed about returning a meal. AGAIN, IT WAS JUST BOILED CHICKEN,, NO FLAVOR, THEY REALLY MISSED THE BOAT.ON THIS ONE. I had to ask my waitress for some flavoring... MRS DASH PLEASE SAVE ME! INTERESTING as if fate intertwined us, I met the lady who refused her meal again at a Grocery store about 30 minutes later by chance, and we both Lamented again about our Cracker Barrel experience. Not.asking nothing.for free, but when she was speaking to the manager on duty, the manager also heard my experiences, but she just had a bewildered look like if she didnt know what to do... Out 9.99 and disappointed, but I know next time IF I decide to visit that Cracker Barrel, I will stay away from experimental dishes, and keep on eating my delicious chicken fried steak.

We love Cracker Barrel!! (To be fair, we dont love every location that weve visited, but we do love this one.) The old-fashioned, down-home cooking is just ... well, its just comfort food. Their biscuits & apple butter are Bridgettes favorite! She orders them as soon as we sit down! And she likes to make smiley faces on the biscuits with the apple butter. :-) I happen to love the Eggs in the Basket. Eggs over medium served "inside" (the sort of cut a hole in the toast with a biscuit cutter) the center of sourdough toasts with choice of sausage or bacon (I prefer bacon) and fried apples or home fries casserole (I go with the casserole). The casserole is home fried potatoes mixed with a little cheese and some sautéed onions. Absolutely delicious!! The blueberry pancakes are also amazing. Fresh blueberries and blueberry syrup. The sugar cured ham is another one of our favorites. No trip is complete without a visit to the Country Store. They always have seasonal items - so right now its plenty of Halloween decorations (witches, ghosts, & goblins). Soon youll find a very large selection of Christmas items. In front of the restaurant you can relax in an rocking chair and play checkers. The rockers are available for purchase - they are solid and very comfortable. Next time youre on the road and there is a Cracker Barrel along the way, be sure to stop in and enjoy a little Southern Hospitality!! :-)

Cracker Barrel as a whole has set a pretty high bar for my expectations. Good food, friendly staff, great service. At the Rehoboth location, they missed the mark a bit. When we arrived there wasnt much crowd (it was a Wednesday morning and very early for the vacation crowd). We didnt wait long for a seat, but the service was a little slow. Very friendly, just slow. Our food was the main problem. When we told the server someone at our table has a peanut allergy she said something like "oh, it wont be a problem". This is a bit unnerving, Id much rather she assure me shell tell the kitchen staff. Next, I asked to substitute my biscuits with white toast and was told that would be fine. What I got was sour dough toast. A minor inconvenience, but not what I was looking for. The biscuits server to my wife, on the other hand, were hard and difficult to cut through, but our server did replace them with fresh ones. Finally, the ham I was served was so salty I thought maybe theyd marinated it in the ocean. I ate it, but will never order it again. I like Cracker Barrel as a whole, but I think this location maybe rests on its laurels a bit, knowing the vacation crowd arent going to become regulars. Weve eaten on a busy Sunday at other locations and everything was right, but this slow Wednesday morning seemed to be problematic for the staff. Well be back to CB, just not to this location.

Always loved the cracker barrel, my reminiscent times from when I was a child with my family made me over joyed by coming back and now bringing my husband, he enjoyed himself to say the least. The wait staff is just fantastic, food was delicious, absolutely should be hungry and ready for some down home cooking! You will not leave empty handed or hungry from the country store to the left over food or bringing home dessert cause you just couldnt leave without it. A wonderful place for a date, a family outing, or you are just in the mood for some good food and southern hospitality either way I cant say enough wonderful things about cracker barrel. Except maybe I wish there were more up north where I am from! ❤❤

This is the second cracker barrel location that weve visited that has had poor food deliver and bad service. We thought at last location was just a bad day but starting to see it may be infecting the entire chain. Sitting here now after half hour drinks empty our server talking to a table that is eating their food after we ordered ours and still we have nothing but empty drinks and 2 hungry children at 130 on a Wednesday afternoon. Save your money and try something else in Rehoboth cause we wont be coming back here

I really love cracker barrel for many reasons. I love the old time feel. The items they have in the store. A variety of food choices, during winter, the fire place. I had the catfish dinner and it was delicious, staff was wonderful and friendly....The only negative thing I can say about the place is although the prices for the food is great but in the store, there are many items that are way too expensive.

Service was slow, table was unclean. Wife asked if her chair could be wiped clean, all they did was just switched chairs with another at the table. Had to wait an unreasonable amount of time to get our check; waitress kept passing by the table so we had to finally ask for the check. Really was one of our worst experiences at Cracker Barrel. May be a long time before returning.

Delicious Hot Food! Awesome courteous and attentive staff! Down Home Country feel by the Beach! Oh, and dont forget the store you walk through on your way into and out of the restaurant!! After eating I love to grab a a chocolate bar n have a snack while rocking on the rockers and listen to some country music while relaxing in the sun! Good way to end Home Cooked Meal!

I went here when I took my daughter to FunLand a few weeks ago. Our waiter was amazing! Kept bringing us drinks, we shared (shes 3) and didnt act bothered and kept smiling. Made sure to get the order right. And did not seem bothered when my daughter made a huge mess. The food was good. But what really made this experience amazing was my waiter.
