I had had the most pleasant experience every time I go to Costco by Christiana Mall in Delaware. The prices are great. However one time I went to the store to do my normal grocery shopping and I had to used the bathroom. Unfortunately, I left my sons tablet in the bathroom. I went back to my shopping cart and I realized what I did not even 2 minutes. I go back to the bathroom and the tablet was gone. I go to the customer service center and I asked the Manager on duty. Her name is Kim. I explained my situation to her and she didnt care or took any consideration in assisting me. I ran back to the bathroom and another employer sees my frustration and asked me "is there anything wrong. Can I help you?" I explained the same thing to him and he took me again to this arrogant Manager that the first thing came out of her mouth was I already told you no body hasnt returned any tablet to me dont you understand. I asked her if there is any way that she could radio the people in the front in case they see someone with the tablet with the blue cover on it. I told her it has my sons name on it. She said I cant do that...I cant accused no one that it is not their tablet. I said it has my sons name please help me. She said I cant help you. I went to the customer service return area and asked all the representatives and they were so professional and tried to assisted me. While I was speaking with one of them by the main entrance, I see the Manager with my sons tablet on her hand. She said I told you if someone would have returned it to me I would have let you know. All this drama was for about 10 minutes but it felt it was forever. The way the situation was handled by the Manager was very poor and unprofessional. I felt discriminated and not treated with value. I dont understand how Costco personal can hire someone like this person. She needs to be trained how to treat customers, how to be professional, and how to represent Costcos name well. It was like I was bothering her with my situation.

I have been shopping at Costco for probably 15-20 years. We moved to DE from California. This Costco is pretty sad. The receipt checkers waste time drawing pictures all over the back of the receipts while my kids are screaming that they want to go home. NEWSFLASH: I am not in the habit of letting my kids have our shopping receipts... Meanwhile, there is a line backed up to the food court and registers waiting to get out of the store... idiots. There are certain products that are fantastic and we buy them regularly for a period of time. In fact, these products are very popular among ALL shoppers. But then suddenly, they dont carry the products anymore. No explanation for why. Thats it. My biggest gripe however is the sample people. OMG, this is the WORST idea ever. Its already difficult to navigate through the store with the carts and people milling around shopping. Ever since you started having sample people at the end of every row, the shopping experience has become sheer torture. We have actually considered resigning our membership because people line up to get samples and block the aisles. In fact, I am considering calling the fire department because it has to be some kind of violation of the code. Get rid of the samples!!! I have actually stood and watched people and how they interact with the sample people. They grab a sample and go. Maybe 1% of the people actually buy the product that is being distributed. You would do better by offering coupons than paying people to hand out samples.

I was the guest of one of your member at the your costco location at Christina mall in newark, DE. It was the worse experience I ever have in my life. The girl name Hanna at the front door did not let my sister in with out the member card while she is member of your club from last 11 years. She yelled at my sister and then called the manager who pushed her on the side. It is totally unexceptable and total in Human their were 5 costco employee around her and curse her Unbelievable. I have no words for the behavior of the kind special with a lady with 3 of my nieces and my wife and young daughter. This is not a place to do business with and then I was at the tire center the person upfront was real rude and told me he is not going to have tires for next 3 months but wont let me buy them because of the sale. WHY YOU ADVERTISE THE SALE IF YOU DONT HAVE A TIRES. I WOULD NEVER GOES THEIR AND TELL EVERY ONE NOT TO GO THEIR EATHER ITS A WORSE PLACE TO SHOP IN DELAWARE. UNEXPECTED , UNBELIEVABLE AND WORSE TREATMENT AT THE STORE YOU CAN THINK OF. I am happy to switch to BJS 3 years ago I dont have to deal with this BS.

Costco has the happiest friendly staff. I was shopping for a necklace to put a gold pendant that my son had given his mother years ago. I had papers in my hand and the pendant looking for a good chain to match. I found one, made the purchase, left the store and was horrified when I realized I no longer had the pendant. I did a u turn back to the store and looked on the counter where I was comparing chains. It wasnt there. I was thinking about what I could possibly do. A young man came up and asked if he could be of help. I told him about losing the gold pendant. He said, "I think I can help you with that," and produced the gold piece from his pocket. He seemed as happy as me.

I love this costco. The employees are friendly and helpful. I love big box stores because you get more product for the money, plus this is tax free shopping so that makes it even better. However, I do agree with one reviewer about the sample people being throughout the store. It is really annoying. I never get anything to eat because Im not particularly hungry when Im walking around. People act like theyre so hungry every time they come in, so theyll stop to get a sample and meanwhile theyre blocking your path. But besides that, I like this store. Like I said, tax free and its big box.

I had to think long and hard about the 5th star. I didnt give it only because I am tight with the 5th star. This is my first visit to Costco. Costco is better than Sams. Down with the evil empire that is Wal-Mart. Seriously, I liked it way better. I mainly noticed the employees seemed alot happier to be there. You can get groceries and stuff in many places , but a pleasant environment hinges on the hourly wage earners on the floor with me, the customer. If anyone of high rank reads this, take note and make sure you appreciate who really runs your store.

Assuming you are familiar with the general idea of Costco and wholesale club stores in general, this one is pretty good. The location is pretty congested, but its tucked away in the corner in its own area and parking isnt usually too bad. The store, including its bathrooms, is clean. The selection is typical for a Costco. The staff are pretty mild-mannered. Not overly friendly, but not rude or anything. All in all, if you like Costco, youll find no reason not to like this one.
