When the Crystal Mall first opened in 1984, it was the premiere shopping area in New London County, with high quality anchor stores like Jordan Marsh and Filenes. The quality of the stores and merchandise has steadily deteriorated over the last 30 years, and hardly any of the original shops remain. Instead of opening another high-end anchor store (like Nordstrom) when Filenes closed its doors, mall management replaced Filenes with Christmas Tree Shops and Bed, Bath and Beyond. There is no longer even an Abercrombie and Fitch......a standard store at almost every mall in the country. The whole place has become a hangout for indigents, with marginal quality merchandise and poor customer service. There is not even one decent restaurant on the premises. I prefer to drive an hour to shop at the West Farms Mall than set foot in this dying place.

At&t store in the Crystal Mall = BAD. Dont buy a Micro Cell here or listen to a word the store manager (J.S.) tells you... He will tell you what you want to hear then NOT help you a bit when you have a probem. He said that he would help me with my Early Termination Fee because the Micro Cell would not work. I bought a Micro Cell tower for my home, due to the absolutely horrible service. One bar signal strength in my home, many missed/dropped calls. At&t coverage in the Northeast is horrendous...... Micro Cell would NOT work... Many cells to customer service, a Connect Tech later... Never worked... $200 plus dollars wasted...

The Crystal Mall is great! Its always very clean and not packed like some other malls. The shopping selection is good and the eateries are varied for any taste. There is even a small playscape for the little ones with a seating area for us adults. All it needs is a huge arcade (maybe even a Dave and Busters) and a movie theater. Other than that this is the best place around to eat, get in a good walk and spend a lot of money. Dont forget to thank all of the military personnel walking around for their service to our great country. If it wasnt for them these places wouldnt exist. THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE!

Crystal Mall - Waterford, CT - 5/30/2015 This is our local mall. Its rather small in my opinion as far as malls goes but its what we got...The layout is a bit odd also. The great thing tho is that its never really over crowded like some malls and you can feel completely safe there. They have a good variety of stores and for those into "fast food" a food court... Im a bit of a food snob tho and prefer finer dining with linen table service... There is a Buffalo Wild Wings and in very close proximity a Longhorn restaurant... Parking is ample and all in all its an enjoyable experience...

Clean, can be in and out as fast as youd like. Extremely large selection, almost with a focus on video games. Ice Imports, and the Toy Vault all had items i was interested in that played off my nostalgia....hidden gems in the world of FYEs and Gamestops. Clothing stores abound, with many big name brand stores including H&M, Hollister, Zumies, Forever 21. Bonus points for a Christmas Tree Shop and Bed Bath and Beyond for my girlfriend to run around in while i investigate the real question....HOW MUCH IS THE MASTER SWORD, ICE IMPORTS???

The Crystal Mall has seen its best days pass it by. The hobby shop, pet shop, science store, magazine shop, arcade, knife shop, book stores, kitchen shop, Disney Store and the EMS have all packed it in. Not to mention the Taco Bell, Arbys, Burger King and pizza shop. Its now something of a Mecca for overpriced clothes, cell phone kiosks and the Dollar General. It might be a great place to poke about in at Christmas, but the Crystal Mall has lost its vibrancy, pizzazz and originality a long, long time ago. Which is a shame.

Verizon Is the best store in the whole mall. The associates in there are friendly and outgoing. They are dedicated to making your visit there as easy and unstressful as possible..and as successful as they can. Weve been using them for 3 years and have not once left there anything but happy. They will work hard to get you what you want and also make sure you have they best cell phone plan possible to fit all your families needs..Before going somewhere else, pop in there..you will NOT be disappointed. :-)

Seeing that we didnt get to visit on this day, I can say that the security team and regular customers were a great help. Shawn Clark, the security guard, drove up just seconds after my husband and I ran out of gas. He couldnt help push us out of the way, but other Good Samaritans showed up to help. The youngest one, Jeremy, offered to buy some gas for us, and he did exactly that! He helped my husband push our truck uphill to the nearest parking lot while I steered. Jeremy was a great help!

A large indoor, multifloored complex with a wide variety of established shops, and chain foods. It is a known hangout for the local teens and a resource for unique items for the locals. There are a number of independent stands who sell various wares, usually trending items. There is a large food court located in the back entrance. Due to renovations the interior is cleaner and more open. Sitting areas and public restrooms are available. Generally this is a good relaxed mall.

Nice 2 floor mall with lots of stores to shop in. From Sears to Justice to Yankee Candle to Bed Bath & Beyond and Eblens.Theres a food court, Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant plus the little pretzel shops. a free toddler play area, $5 stroller rentals, 4 main escalators, 1 main elevator and one main stair case. The newest store is "Bounce", with bounce houses for kids. The mall is also surround by other restaurants, stores and shopping plazas.

Grew up going to this mall, and it surely has changed over the years. Quite the standard variety of any of the Simon Malls offerings, but they have let more low key sales into the place. As always, I suggest that people do price comparisons online, but when you need that random outfit/gadget/gift card quickly, its always an option. Parking is also plentiful, just not next to the main entrances (food court/Sears/JCPenny/Buffalo wild wings).

This Sprint retail store is unreliable. The Sprint representative without informing me made me to sign a paper which he told us that is a part of the service that I asked for but later I found that was a 2 years contract which I did not intend to do so. When I asked him to change it he refused and wanted to charge me a penalty fee of $200. I would not recommend this store at all and if you go there make sure what you’re signing.

I like the Crystal Mall. But one thing that got to me was a pretzel place called, "Annies-" something. Im dont completely remember the name. Everything my family ordered we had to wait ten minutes for them to bake it. While we were going up the escalator to go home there was a woman just sitting in the back with three clumps of dough next to her. She was not doing her job and lost about 30$ my family couldve spent there.

Crystal Mall used to be not so great when I was young and never quite "felt" like a mall in comparison to other malls I traveled to when I was a kid. However as I grew up they definitely managed to make the place more livelier by diversifying their stores and outlets. The food court especially saw a decent renovation, although its sad to see many places didnt last there. Good selection for a mall of this size honestly.
