Oh my goodness! You may have THOUGHT you had a complete & detailed medical eye exam before...but Im here to tell you that you havent! This place is off-the-hook amazing. A palace. A spa for your eyes. The office itself is beautiful. When you first walk in, you notice that everything is beautiful. The reception area and waiting area are aesthetically pleasing and super comfortable. Look to the right and youll see the optical shop, with so many choices and beautifully appointed stations to try on eyeglass frames. More on my experience with purchasing glasses, having my old ones updated, and being fitted for contacts in another review. (all great) The reception staff is professional, polite and calm. I felt welcomed by Amber when I arrived for my appointment. She was easygoing, and made my check in process easy. My insurance information and other details had already been captured over the phone when I made my appointment. So guess what? There was none of that "heres a clipboard" and "please give my your insurance card" stuff that you usually have to "arrive early" for at a doctors office. I was so pleased not to have to juggle any of that and waste time. As for the exam, I was greeted by Victoria, who would take me through a series of tests before I saw the doctor. From taking my blood pressure (who ever thought that was part of an eye exam, but it is!) to checking for macular degeneration, glaucoma, the health of my retina. All of it. I was fascinated because Ive been to some of the areas most professional eye doctors and never had all of these tests done. Another thing that was great? I didnt have to have my eyes dilated. For a minimal additional fee, imaging of the inside of my eye was done without having to be dilated. This was great, considering it was a really sunny day and I had to get right back to work. As I went through my series of tests I noticed a couple of things. One, everyone who works at this place is professional and happy. Have you ever been to a doctors office where you just knew the staff hated their work, and maybe each other? Not here! This office has a friendly and professional vibe. The other thing I noticed is that the equipment they have here is really updated. All of my tests were fun to do because of the technology they use here. Finally, I met with Dr. Kline. What a lovely and personable man! Hes highly regarded in his field and I can understand why. Not only did he review my tests and give me lifestyle suggestions and supplements for supporting my eye health (I have a family history of macular degeneration) but he made me feel comfortable and well cared for. I know that Im in great hands with Dr. Kline and I will definitely recommend this practice to everyone and anyone. My daughter already has an appointment- shes switching doctors after hearing my experience. Even if you think you love your eye doctor...you are probably not getting the care and preventative treatments that you would get at Vision Associates of Prospect.

I just wanted to state how extremely disappointed I was with the service and treatment I received from Vision Associates. My glasses were broken and I needed replacements ASAP.I knew with a smaller place as opposed to a Sears or Walmart, I would be paying a higher price. I had know idea how much higher it actually was. After reluctantly agreeing to pay over 1,000 for exam, lenses and glasses because I was told 7-10 wait. I was also told the order would be put on "super rush" status. After Many calls to speak to Dr. Kline he finally called me back. I was waiting over 2 weeks for my "super rush". I asked Dr.Kline if my bill would be adjusted due to my inconvenience and the fact that I only agreed to the price because of said rush.He was not willing to budge AT ALL! I would not refer anyone to a place that values their customers so little. With a repeating business like glasses, how can anyone be so penny smart and dollar dumb? Funny enough, I just found out my 10 yr. old son needs glasses , so rather than them having two lifetime customers, They will get NONE of my families or friends business. Warning to strangers!! I promise you will overpay. The glasses I received were in fact GOOD but no better than the ones I got at Sears for half the price. So yes, the coffee and water are nice in the waiting room but not worth the exorbitant mark up you end up paying for them. Feel free to go there anyway, Im not the type of guy who says I told you so. If anyone would like anymore real details, Im me on facebook. This is a real customer review not the over obvious ones that were written by friends of V.A.

Dr. Gelinas is fantastic! She takes her time and has a calming and caring effect. All the receptionists are great. They remember your name and greet you warmly each and every single time. Patty is exceptional. During one episode I lost one of my hard contact lenses in the car. She checked my eye to be sure it was not floating around in there. Knowing that the lens was not in my eye, she instructed me on how to possibly find it by using a vacuum with a cheese cloth or nylon over the hose. When I got home I followed her instructions and found it. It was not damaged and I was very much relieved. The optical department is accommodating, assuring that you get the right frames with the right fit. Lynn, the office manager, does a great job holding her team together as always. Thanks to you all!!! Highly recommend!!!!

The staff was very friendly and beyond helpful. The arm had snapped off of my glasses and I had no back up pair. They got me an appointment the next day and I got a new pair and while I am waiting for them to come in they actually fixed my old pair and put a new arm on I had no idea it could be done. I was blown away by the professionalism and how nice they were. Asked me if I would like some water or coffee, and you just dont get that anywhere. If you need a place to get your glasses or an eye exam definitely come here. Dr Larry Klein was especially nice cracking jokes and making me feel at home. They definitely focus all about the most important part of business and that is the customer. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

My daughters eyesight was so bad, that she used binoculars to see the blackboard in school. Dr. Kline outfitted her with contact lenses. That was the end of the binoculars. Dr. Kline is not only a superb doctor, but a great human being as well. I do not know every eye doctor in Connecticut, but in my opinion, Dr. Kline is the best eye doctor you will find. He is up to date on the newest equipment, and is innovative. My wife heard him on the phone with the company that makes her contact lenses. They were saying that what Dr. Kline wanted was not possible. Dr Kline told them it could be done, and it was. Talk about being a patient advocate!

Ive been a patient of Vision Associates of Prospect for over a year and I must say that I am very pleased with the Doctors and staff. The staff is very polite, helpful and efficient at their job. I have had the pleasure to see both Dr. Klein and Dr. Gelinas. I never felt rushed to explaine my symptoms etc. They are both very knowledgeable and genuinely care for their patients. They also provided FREE screening for glacoma and vision testing for an event that was promoted by the Lions Club of Prospect. A number of people were there taking advantage of this valuable service. Thank you for your service to the local community.
