I am VERY disappointed in the service provided by J&R Computers. I decided to take a chance on them, since I had read some positive online reviews, and I like to support small, local businesses. Brought my work computer to them for virus removal. They convinced me to also buy new anti-virus software from them, since the owner assured me it was "the best". $200+ and less than a week later, my computer was overrun with adware. I brought the computer back and explain what is wrong (the employee suggests that Ive just been "clicking allow on everything". Nope - Im not doing that) and they clean it again. One week later - overrun with adware AGAIN. I bring the computer back a THIRD TIME and ask why this keeps happening if the anti-virus software they sold me is so great - the owner tells me that I had uninstalled the anti-virus software (Nope - I definitely did not do that). He cleans the machine and tells me it is a "freebie, just this time" (seriously? are you kidding me??). I bring my machine back to the office to discover that programs that worked just fine the day before I brought my computer to J&R suddenly dont work - Photoshop and Carbonite wont even open. And, to top it all off, I still have adware. J&R Computers was a waste of my money and my time.

Dont ask this guy what was wrong with your computer. Hes one of those know it all better than you self-anointed computer geek geniuses who cant stand/be bothered with explaining things to we peasants. Especially, when it may be related to something he himself put in the computer months earlier. Yea, big time eyebrow raise there being so obnoxious for someone who shouldnt be if they didnt do anything wrong. Acted like doing it the same day was doing me favor on top of being rude. And the most shocking part is that Im a repeat customer. Guy is stuck up as hell and has no respect. Even back when I was "ok" with him I could tell it was almost more than he could bare to explain ANYTHING. Its just shut up and give him money or you get to watch him struggling to fight back his insolence just bubbling under the surface. Man child.

Best Computer Repair Store in CT. I have been going to Staples for 2 years. 2 years ago I got a new gaming PC. Staples took $3000 from me. Lying to me replacing every part in my computer except the problem inserted part. Then, it got old so I went online and found J & R Computers with a great REP. I went to them the next day and when i walked into the store he spoke in a computer language that I didnt understand. WHICH IS GREAT, you dont want to know more than the technician, right! Well at staples they are just a bunch of techs that know as much as you. Here is quality knowledge of every thing you would need to get fixed in a technology perspective. Thank You J & R Computers. Why am I sticky

I had an older laptop the screen started to cut out and go blank. Tho all other system were good. I called a few other places and I was told Id have to buy a new computer, or get a full screen replacement for $500+. :( For that price I might as well buy a new computer. Finally I found J&R actually by mistake. They told me they would order a new screen, and it was $50. :) I brought my laptop up one evening, by the next morning they had it ready to pick up. I was so happy. The guys did a great job, quick and cheap. I have one small issue if you look closely there are a few hairs, and tiny particles behind the new screen. But for the price, and service it doesnt bother me. If I ever have any other computer issues I will def call them again.

Amazing not only did they fix my phone and transfer all my info over so I could switch phones with my son they showed me how to use my new phone and never even charged me for the hour I was with them. They may be a boost store as well but they treat me better then any other location I have ever been and they fix my device. I wish I could give them more stars THANKYOU Sam you are the best.

Dude these guys are awesome. I purchased a laptop from them a couple of months ago and its wonderful, I have also and had my other computers serviced with them and they are so friendly and accommodating. I even sent my mom to have her computer serviced and she thinks they are great as well. I highly recommend them for all of your electronic needs. Thanks Sam!!!

This place has great customer service. My dads computer stopped working and I brought it here to get it fixed. The service was amazing and fast. The cost was also very low. I highly recommend this place to anyone. The employee here Patrick Finneran was also super knowledgeable and helpful! He single handily made my experience here excellent.

Ive dealt with this shop many of times in the past. Ive bought my laptop there and have gotten a lot of repair work done. The two technicians are the nicest and funniest people in the field. Also I trust their opinion on what to buy when it comes to electronics.

I have been in there several times for routine maintenance on my laptop, and am always pleased with the price and speed of service. Recently i have spilt wine onto my gaming laptop, and the owner saved it from death. A genuine miracle. Only place i go.
