A few weeks ago, I got my first tattoo here (7th overall, so I have plenty to compare it to) and it was by far the best tattooing experience Ive ever had. My first consultation email and phone call were returned quickly and professionally. The shop is pristine and approachable. Anthony was wonderful! He knew exactly what he was doing and my tattoo is perfect. Even in a spot that I thought was going to be extremely painful, he did such a great job that it didnt hurt nearly as bad as I was anticipating. It also healed so quickly. I cant wait to go back and get many more tattoos here. The price was a little high but Im happy to pay for such great service. Dont go anywhere else.

The best tattoo shop in CT! Well anywhere for that matter. After researching and seeing too many crappy tattoo shops in my area I finally found Ink Side Out. They are absolutely amazing. The staff is very nice and accommodating. I have gone to many a tattoo shops where the staff and artists are intimidating and condescending. It was refreshing to come to a shop where the artists are passionate and really nice! Anthony turned my old crappy tattoo into something beautiful. He took my idea and customized a design just for me that I love. The artists portfolios are amazing so you can trust their work fully. I am totally faithful to Ink Side Out and recommended everyone to come here!

This is a great tattoo shop! I had my tattoo done by Josh and he did an amazing job today. All the other workers in the shop were very nice and funny. They made it entertaining for me while i got my tattoo and took my mind off the pain. The shop is definitley very clean and well organized, I dont know how the other reviewer could say that it was dirty. Do not listen to the one negatuve review on here, this is a great shop to go to. This was my first tattoo ever and I can definitley say that it was a very pleasent experience. If you are looking for a high quality shop with a welcoming and fun atmosphere, this is the place to go to!

I went to this place 7 years ago and the service was great. I had gone back this past summer of 2015 unfortunately it has changed for the worst with new people. My husband and I are very upset with this place. The guy who did my tattoo was rude he didnt tell me how much it would be till after my tattoo was done. He charged me a lot of money for a no color, small, and simple tattoo just on the side of my ankle. He only had to copy the tattoo from a picture from the internet. He was also giving me a hard time because he kept trying to change the tattoo that I wanted. I would never go back again!

Really really nice shop! Totally clean, very inviting, and the lady behind the desk was really helpful. I took away a star because even with an appointment I ended up waiting a while, but I would definitely go back. It was my first tattoo, and as a seventeen year old who went with her nervous mom, Anthony was very reassuring and helpful. He never seemed rushed or impatient, for which both me and my mother were very thankful for. The tattoo came out great, and I get free touch ups!

If you want a tattoo..this is the absolute place to get one. Everyone is friendly and this is probably the cleanest tattoo shop you can find. Josh is in the process of doing my half sleeve and his work is incredible. And I laugh at the people saying this place is over-priced. If you want to spend a small amount of money than go to another shop and get a shitty tattoo. Theres a reason why Josh and others are booked 2-3 months. Im never going anywhere else for a tattoo.

Went there on Thanksgiving with my sisters. We all wanted to get matching tattoos ... first they waaay over priced us but we had limited time to get this done since I live out of town so I bit the bullet and paid for it... then when we got home noticed that mine was incomplete. Called the shop repeatedly to get it fixed but they never responded to me. Went to Ravens to get it fixed, regret not going their first. Now that is a shop that has true customer service.

I got my first piercing here. it was my Monroe and honestly I couldn't ask for better service. the woman in the front was so nice and was trying to calm my nerves as I filled out the paper work. The guy who did my piercing talked me' through everything he was doing. I felt really comfortable there and couldn't even feel when he put in the needle(: and they also give you a spray to clean it when you pay(: definitely 5 stars :D

this place was awesome all the people were friendly very clean has a sanctuary feeling to it i am 15 years old and i got my first tattoo done by anthony and he was great i loved his drawings and at the end i decided to get a "in memory of" tattoo of my cousin which came out fantastic i loved the cross design and well price and in the future and i get free touch ups which is a bonus i totally recomend this to anybody wanting a tattoo

I refuse to get ink done anywhere else. All the artists at inkside out are professional. I personally deal with Josh he is a perfectionist and loves what he does. He makes you feel comfortable great atmosphere and its very clean. I recommend inkside out to any1 who wants quality work done that they will have forever. Everywhere i go people ask where i got my ink you have to check this place out!!!! 10 stars!

Ink Side Out Tattoos is "hands down" the best tattoo place to go to. They are wonderful and professional and do amazing work. I should know Josh has already done tattoos to a bunch of people in my family. I have several tattoos as well and the older ones are from all across the world on my travels so I know a good tattoo artist and place when I come in contact with. Also Benji is amazing with color tattoos.

Just had my tragus pierced..felt nothing! However..I was disfigured by my ex friend/ tat wannabe artist...who started this enormous tat but nvr finished it. The guys at Inside Out found her & were appalled by the photos she has posted of some of the work shes done on me. My friend is having a sleeve done here & all in all..the vibe was great! Mellow & clean..definitely recommend INSIDE OUT to anyone!

This place is great. I walked in and the girl was very nice and helpful. Josh happened to be there and immediately helped me layout the tattoo. I had made an appointment right there and then. Josh made my tattoo perfect. I would DEFINITELY recommend anyone who is looking for tattoos to go here. The shop is clean, sterile, and very inviting. I will be back for more.

Today I received my first tattoo! Ben did an amazing job!! I adore my tattoo!! He took plenty of time to explain everything to me, he was super patient with all my questions, has a wonderful sense of humor and a very relaxed approach that put me totally at ease!! Im already thinking about a second tattoo and will definitely go back to Ben!!!!!
