Disclaimer: This review is going to be biased because ... WE LOVE CRACKER BARREL! :-) OK, the food at Cracker Barrel may not be five-star cuisine, but ... whenever we go on a road trip (3 - 4 times per year) we always try to find a Cracker Barrel along the route. My girlfriend (Bridgette) absolutely loves the biscuits with apple butter. (Im quite fond of it myself.) I have two favorites: MOMMAS FRENCH TOAST (I think I love it because they use sourdough bread) EGGS-IN-THE-BASKET (its not only delicious but something about this reminds me of a breakfast that my Mother made for me when I was a child) They have delicious hot tea (Twinings English Breakfast). The Wild Main Blueberry Pancakes are out of this world! The Chicken Tenderloin dinner is also extremely good. In addition to the dining area, they have the Old Country Store. You could easily spend an hour wandering around looking at things - feeling very nostalgic. The staff (not just at this location) is very pleasant. A+ Good place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I highly recommend it!

Weve been to maybe a dozen cracker barrel restaurants over the past few decades - typically after a long drive when we just want something simple and close by our hotel. This was by far the worse weve been to. Service was good enough, but some of the meals were just poor, nearly inedible. The chicken and dumplings dinner special was pricey for what I got - a few pieces of tender but flavorless chicken, bland gravy, and a LOT of squares of chewy, way too thick dumplings - it sank like a rock. My two sides - flavorless whole kernel corn, and offensively terrible hashbrown casserole that was simply processed potato shreds loaded with foul onion and/or garlic powder. The basket of biscuits and corn muffins were very poor - flavorless, tough, cold biscuits that were clearly frozen and reheated, and hard, small, flavorless corn muffins. Clearly not all cracker barrels are created equal, but whoever cooks for this particular one, and supplies the ingredients, has missed the mark....pinching pennies and going for substandard seems to be the rule.

I generally love Cracker Barrel, and Ive been to this one before, but on my last visit a couple of weeks ago, food delivery was erratic. Fot example, one in my group - not the fastest eater - was finishing her meal by the time the other three meals arrived. My baked sweet potato was delivered uncut and without butter or brown sugar - which are normally the standard garnishments. The service was just plain poor. Very disappointing visit given that I dont live near a Cracker Barrel, so when we get to go, it should be a treat rather than something to endure. The store was busy, but thats routine for Cracker Barrel stores, so thats hardly a valid excuse.

We love Cracket Barrel and so while in the area we went here for breakfast on Sunday morning. We got there around 8am and placed our order. I ordered the fresh start sampler and when it came was informed they had not made any blueberry muffins yet. So I paid more for my 2 eggs bacon and some yougert with unripe strawberries then my boyfriend did for the sunrise sampler. All they said was sorry and not even in a meaningful way at all no offer to compensate or anything. How do you not have muffins made at 8am on a Sunday morning? The people here were the rudest Ive ever incountered working atcany Cracker Barrel.

Stopped in on the way home to NY from New Haven. Food was fantastic! My chicken & dumplings were outrageous any my dining companions all gave similar reviews of their plates. Biscuits & cornbread were warm and soft...mmmm. Our server Eddie was very conscientious without being overbearing which we appreciated. Heres the twist: I accidentally left some books behind, on the table. Called there today and manager Andrew offered to ship them back to me for free! Cracker Barrel & their staff are a real pleasure and we will give them our business every time we travel up that way.

I ordered takeout on my way home from work. After ordering I was told it would be about 20 minutes, it was a busy Sunday evening, no problem I can browse the store while I wait. About 15 minutes later the waitress can back with the bill and told me to pay and my food would be brought right out. I paid and waited nearby for my food. After an hour of waiting my food finally came. I live 5 blocks away but when I got home the food was cold and both my side dish and biscuits were left out. Overall a very disappointing experience.

I love Cracker Barrel. I love its old fashioned country charm, They have great food, good prices, and a large menu that covers breakfast ( you have to try their homemade biscuits!) Lunch, dinner and desert. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The store is great, I love the ever changing variety of items they sell as well as the hard to find confections and goodies. The clothing is beautiful. My husband loves the rocking chairs outside where he can sit while waiting for me to finish shopping

We eat here probably once a month or so - its close to my husbands office, so its a great stop-off on our way home. Usually (as in, every.single.time) I get the chicken & dumplings, but tonight i got the grilled chicken dinner salad - it was terrific! The tomatoes were perfect, the salad was crisp & fresh, and the wedge of Colby cheese was a nice touch. Our waitress, Jackie, was extra wonderful. Were never sorry weve stopped there to eat. Thanks, CB!

The food was great but the coffee tastes like mud. They used to attempt to do better by letting you have a double brew of the same weak stuff. That was slightly better but still bad. Now we are told can no longer do that. When choosing where to go for breakfast cracker barrel usually loses out because of the bad coffee. Would suggest offering a decent cup of Starbucks coffee at an additional price if needed.

I called twice to order food and twice they sent me back and forth to the same two people! Finally a manager picked up and I told him I was trying to order and they hung up on me! I finally just gave up and went somewhere else. I would not recommend ordering out, since they have no system setup for it.. You have to actually call the kitchen to order your food
