Ive been in Customer svc in a manager status most of my career. Im retired now and now have time to renovate our home. We have chosen theHome Depot on Dixwell Ave in Hamden Ct because of the quality products and pricing and there is always items on sale and in many cases drastically reducing the price. The biggest reason I shop there is their GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Everyone of their staff knows their product. From the Customer svc rep to the cashers and floor managers, they know how to handle their customer needs. This latest visit I made was to return a product and wanted to purchase more items for my patio. Miss Briyonna Brown, Cust service rep. Was a pleasure to work with. She took care of our problem return curteously and expeditiously. Mr Brian Sorrells in the milling dept in a split second after I approach him on a screen door for my patio new exactically where it was located and told me the product price and help me find a wagon which he had ready to go. These people are the REASON I shop the Home Depot. I would Not go anywhere else.

Very bad Home depot. We ordered for flooring on June 29th and the staff is so bad they did not take care of you until end of July. We told them that we are desperate need for flooring and noone tried to help you. The worst flooring department I have ever seen. The front desk receptionists are very rude. Carol is a nice person but the remaining people are very rude. When we go to the store we have to wait atleast 1 to 2 hours for us to get an associate. If we call them they hung up the phone on us. Never will go to this store again. Aida and Byron in flooring are nice people but they try to help every customer and it takes long time for them to come to us if there are more than 1 customers. I had a miserable experience working through this store. When we call we have to stay online atleast 30 to 45 minutes to get an associate online.

You can have a good experience at this Home Depot if you know the right people to go to. Carmen at the Pro desk is one. You will ALWAYS find her looking for ways to help you. She actually LIKES to help people, go figure. Not something we say about Home Depot employees too often. She knows the limitations that Home Depot imposes on her, like slow computer or bad software, and will work around it so that you can get out of there as soon as you can. She knows, and is curious enough to learn as she goes, the ins and outs of most stuff you need to buy. Trust me, I am there buying ALL the time, flipping homes. She is a jewel! Home Depot needs to definitely pay her more, since I know that she is doing the job of at least two or more people at Home Depot. People like this should be rewarded.

My experience at Home Depot is always a good one and theyre very helpful. When they can be and in this particular case this gentleman was helping us in finding the right type of hose nozzle, he was very patient very understanding and very helpful of course we did not solve the problem but still it was good experience.

Wonderful staff. Very helpful and kind. They have a large variety in store and if you order online you can pick it up at the store for no shipping charge. Large parking lot, clean and well organized store. The people working at the service desk, registers, and throughout the store are knowledgeable and friendly.

Took a long time to find simple items. Had to ask three different customer service agents before being directed to the right aisle. Then, at check out, the cashier was miss chatty cathy holding up the line when there were customers waiting to get checked out.

A very nice Home Depot. The parking lot is easy to navigate but where you come out is a long way from the entrance. Self Checkout is plentiful and that is the way to go.
