Very poor customer service. This is why I mainly do my home renovations shopping at Lowes... Unfortunately the closest place for me to run to on lunch is a Home Depot not the one being reviewed here, but the Bristol one is the one I chose to do my shopping at today and will not be going back. I had to make a return and purchase something else, and after first walking up to an empty returns counter, another worker from the online order desk yelled "youll have to come over here" ... That was my first impression, not a hello, not a welcome to Home Depot, it was a disgruntled employee who would have to help a customer due to another employee being absent. Once I made the walk to her counter, she immediately took a phone call from another employee, and spent my whole transaction complaining about her work day on the phone to the other employee and only aknowledging me to ask if I wanted cash or credit. Never once asking me if I needed to do an exchange, or even thanking me for shopping at the depot. I then took my refund and went back the electrical to make my new selection , took some time to pick out what I needed and not once did any employee I saw walking around ask me if I needed any help, but I did see one walking around with a coffee cup so I wouldnt want to bother that employee, seemed busy. I chose to do self checkout so I wouldnt have to bother anyone then left. My whole time in the store was roughly half an hour where not once did any employee make me feel welcome, and the only physical interaction was with someone who clearly was not having a good day. I just realized I left part of the return home and instead of going back for another refund Im just going to throw it out and make the new purchase at Lowes. Dont think Ill be making it back to this store.

I am self employed for the most part so I am always looking for ways to amuse myself. On no less than 5 occasions I have strolled in (intentionally looking guilty of something), and as the greeters said, *"Hello, can I help you find anything today sir?"* I replied, each time with, *"WHY YES! I AM WONDERING IF YOU COULD PERHAPS DIRECT ME TO THE GENERAL AREA OF YOUR LOCKPICKING KITS?"* <<<<*EVERY SINGLE TIME*>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>*ISLE 13*>>>>>>>>>>>>> *It is a felony in the state of connecticut for such retailer to sell lock picking kits, tools, and general burglary equipment.* lol I know have a video of this on my youtube page. /END *

A family member bought flooring at this place and the entire experience was a nightmare. That sales person was not up front about possible installation costs and in the end, it cost an additional $2,000 for the floor which was quite a lot of money for a senior citizen. If there had been honesty and full disclosure, we would not have been so upset. When calling the store while the floor was being put in, the woman who took the call was very rude. We will never buy from Home Depot again, anywhere. .

I received the greatest service I ever have from a big chain store yesterday when I received help from Dan in the Lumber department. He went above and beyond the call if duty for me and has restored my faith in mankind. And coming at Thanksgiving time, well lets just say he has given me a reason to be thankful. Thank you Dan, and Home Depot. I will forever be greatful.

I was at home Depot today. I was asked what I needed by 3 people. Tina was off the clock and stopped to help me , a young man checked with me and Henry brought me over to the correct aisle. At the self checkout another man took my purchase to ring up. My experience was totally different from these other people. Customer service was terrific.

My first time visiting this particular store after moving to the area. Waited over 45 minutes for someone to help me cut wire shelving. Multiple employees said someone would be right over. Finally had enough and just left...wasted a bunch more of my time than if I just cut them myself.

Recently they have added more service people and always are ready to help and very helpful at that! I was in late one night because I had lost the keys to my house, so I brought in the lock and an hour later walked out with keys for the lock at basically no charge! Above and beyond!

I used to dislike Home Depot 20 years ago when I would have to go in with my husband and say oh my God were here for hours now my husband follows me in and is waiting for me to come out my favorite store I guess thats what happens when you become a homeowner

Good location despite construction out front..great selection garden area fully stocked mediocre customer service but it could a an odd Day. Great free parking. Some what clean bathrooms.If you need it Clean handicap stall.
