Overall nice store with good variety. However Im pretty disappointed in the experience. Bought a $400 traxxis vehicle for my sons birthday. Charger went bad. Store did not have part, could not replace. Waited a week to receive from manufacturer. Now the receiver goes bad. Called the store to ask to return the entire vehicle and exchange. They refused because my son used the car the first day. Overall very disappointed they would not take back this defective product and exchange for a new one. Going on three weeks my son still cant use this $400 dust collector. Very bad experience.

Over the past 2 years I have ordered parts for the rc cars that I have at this store. Paid for them ahead of time which is store policy and they have screwed up the orders 3 times. I dont order anything from them anymore. Today I called them up to see if they had a part in stock and they told me they did. i drive the 10 miles to their store to find out that they dont have the part. They apologized but I will not do anymore business with them. I dont have time to spend with this store.

The store has changed ... more emphasis on toys, and theyre prices are very high. They do have a fair amount of "hobby gear" like drones and RC vehicles, but the prices are astronomical. Theyre also selling fidget spinners for $20! Claiming theyre the better brand because they have high quality bearings - come on! Its a fad toy! Sad theyre trying to sucker parents into spending $20 on something thats $5 at Walmart!

I needed a product for bonding plastic for a work project. I needed it ASAP so I went online to search Lowes. They listed the product but it was unavailable in any of their stores all the way from Cromwell to Milford. I then searched Home Depot and local hardware stores to no avail. Finally I called Hobbytown in Fairfield CT and they knew exactly what I needed and had it in stock. THANK YOU HOBBYTOWN!

This store is really fun to explore, great things for a almost any age group. but i really have a bone to pick because my special ordered toy is taking more than a month to arrive (much more than the promised five business days). every time i call about its eta i get the runaround and the whole thing feels completely unprofessional.

Love this store. I can always find the perfect birthday gift for the kids friends. The entire staff is so helpful and friendly that they make shopping fun. They always have great gift suggestions. From the latest board games to collectibles and models, I can always find something unique here.

This place is awesome! Lots of models for the boy and I, neatly arranged and easy to browse. There is also tons of other things to occupy a childs mind, or the child like adult. Chemistry sets, build your own robots, and I bought a potato clock.

This is the only HobbyTown that I have been to that does not have anything for rock crawlers. This place should just call themselves a "toystore" as their inventory is composed mostly of toys. Prices are steep.
