I went there tonight to buy ground beef and i saw 4 packages in which the meat was turning gray, ive never seen that before at a grocery storez like 80% of the meat in the package was gray...i really wish i took a picture. Also a few months ago i bought meatloaf mix (ground beef pork and veal) i know buying ground meat is risky already but as soon as i opened tht package of meat when i got home it smelled soo bad/rancid and according to the date it wasnt expired. Also the fish department smells rancid sometimes like that strong fishy odor which is causes from bacteria growing on old fish. I like the rest of the store but they need to step it up a LOT in the meat department. They need to get it together because its obvious the standards arent where they need to be.

NEVER STOP HERE AGAIN!! Im not from around here and staying at the Ramada Inn. I came over here to grab a little food for a couple days. When leaving the store was cornered by about 5 police officers asking for my ID. Apparently someone thougt I made "too many laps around the store". I explained to the officers that I was not from around here and unfamiliar with the store. They ran my id and detained me for about ten minutes asking questions as to why I was here. Basically an interogation in the form of small talk. I was dressed nicely and did nothing wrong. To have the manager call the police on me was ridiculous to say the least. I probably wont need to but I will never stop at this store again. Welcome to Hartford????

To be honest the employees area always helpful & the shelves are always stocked well.But the 3 star rating was given because the store doesnt look like all of the other stores in the surrounding area.This store has issues with Cleanliness, Presentation & Never enough people at Registers..I live in the area so i do go but compared to all of the other S&S this one has to be the WORST!!!..Curb appeal is Soooo Easy!

Just had the worst experience ever! The staff attendant was very rude and apparently management doesnt care about its long time customers. I can shop elsewhere and spend my hard earned dollar where its appreciated.
