Great food at great prices, but it has some quirks. - Limited selection, usually only the store brand - A Quarter is required to unlock the carts - Bags are not free (but you are encouraged to bring your own or use a box) - There are no clerks - The cashier experience is different than most stores I have literally thousands over the course of the year shopping here and its really easy to get in and out fast if you know what to expect.

Great for quick visits when you need simple grocery items but do not have time to wait in a superstore or traditional grocery store. Fast, convenient and inexpensive but with limited, off-brand choices and no specialized services. If you were to compare Aldi to an airline, they would be like Frontier, Spirit or Ryanair.

Great prices, friendly staff. "Right size" - really like the smaller size store with limited selection compared to the normal humongous grocery stores. Who really needs an entire isle of bread or an entire isle of ice-cream??

They are now selling organically produced fruits and vegetables. I bought a gallon of milk at the Dayville, CT store for $1.88. Its worth the trip now that they are going more upscale than berfore.
