I receive a perscription from my doctor for 30 .25mg alprazolams a month. The doctor knew that I was having to double my dosage because 1 pill was not having the results I needed. When I got a refill from my doctor they said it was too early too fill and told me to come back on the 20th of April. So I did. They then told me with a very poor and standoffish attitude that it could not be filled until the 23rd. I had my Dr call in and say it was okay to fill early. When I first called and checked to see if he had called yet the lady on the phone was nice at first until I told her my name and what my perscription was then she started talking to me in a almost disgusted tone. Then when I came and picked up my perscription I was recieved again, with a poor and very uncourteous attitude. Obviously, I was being treated like a drug addict that was a thorn in their side. What they dont know is that I receive my perscription of alprazolam (xanax) because I was a student at columbine high school and was in the school and witnessed first hand the massacre on April 20th, 1999 and my best friend at the time, Steve Curnow was murdered. I suffer from severe PTSD as a result and it is already hard enough for me to walk into any public place where there are people I dont know, let alone if they are already displeased with me because they figured that I am just a junkie trying to get my "fix". Employees at any pharmacy should be respectful to anyone no matter what kind of perscriptions they are trying to fill, because they have not a clue about the circumstances surrounding why a customer has them. I still gave them 2 stars because before that they were very pleasent until I had to refill my perscription early because my doctor doubled my dosage. So if you are getting non narcotic medications filled then they are probably not going to give you Amy trouble but if you are filling narcotic medications dont even give this place the time of day, because they will give you the time of day but, it will be with a poor attitude and will make things very uncomfortable for you.

I drive nearly 15 minutes, and must pass a dozen pharmacies en route, just to go the pharmacy at the rite aid on mineral and broadway - because it is THE BEST! The staff is truly like extended family to me. My brother, Jim, went here, because he loved the pharmacy staff, and had me start going as well several years ago - between the 2 of us we were frequent fliers, and there quite a lot with various depression meds - Sadly, my brother committed suicide June 13th 2015, just 2 weeks after turning 25. I will ALWAYS continue coming here, regardless of how far the commute - the Pharmacists, Beth and Brian, as well as Robert, who is a Tech, are 3 of the greatest people Ive ever known - (also Aaron, and the rest of the pharmacy staff) They all knew and loved my brother, and every time I get my prescriptions filled, as strange as it may sound, I feel his presence, and it brightens my day. - I also love that when I call and say Hi, its Amy! They know who I am - they know my meds and they remember my birthday, (I do go a couple times a month, haha, so dont be hurt if they dont remember yours) I truly cant speak highly enough of everyone at the Rite Aid pharmacy! Thank you guys!!
