This place is great. The food was amazing. In response to Gilson Machtolff, I witnessed the exchange. Gilson and his partner failed to tell the important part of why he was admonished by management. Gilson brought in, and was consuming a beverage purchased at a competitor while consuming the free water that The Muddy Buck offers. I dont know about you, but I dont know of many restaurants who allow you to consume their competitors product in their establishments. Its like bringing Wendys into McDonalds. In addition, the manager lady was very nice and even told Gilson that he could stay at that time, but to not do it in the future because it takes space from paying customers. Gilson should be more honest about his actions the next time before he complains.

May have just been the time we went and were expecting a different feel -- we went about 8 pm on a Friday night hoping for a coffee shop experience. It was more of a bar feel [very loud music, lots of people standing around]. Coffee was.. okay. I had an Americano -- espresso tasted over-roasted (likely a personal taste preference issue) and husband ordered a bottomless coffee. They dumped the coffee before he got his second cup! Granted, again, it was late. Overall, I think we just had the wrong expectations but, 3 stars because it was advertised as a coffee shop and the coffee was subpar.

We were treated so rudely by the lady managing the place that we left and didnt get anything. We looked over the menu and couldnt decide what we wanted so we sat at a table and grabbed some water to think it over. After a couple of minutes the manager walked up and told us that these werent picnic tables and that we couldnt sit there if we didnt order anything. She knew that we were thinking it over and deciding, but I suppose decided that she didnt want to wait for us. I have never been spoken to so rudely by someone managing a restaurant. Would not go back and would not recommend.

Best cinnamon rolls weve found on the front range! The migas and giant breakfast burritos are great, but the breakfast croissant sandwich its so good, its all I ever get anymore. The house roasted coffee and coffee drinks are fantastic too; including a real/old-school macchiatos. We also love the ambiance and service. The century old rock and timber former Evergreen Hotel makes for a cozy place for breakfast and intimate place for drinks and live music in the evenings. Friendly local staff complete the experience.

Killer joe, giant made-to-order breakfast burritos, a kalaidascope of fresh faces wearing smiles as genuine as summer rain: Who could want more from a small-town cafe? When I walk in the door at Muddy Buck, I am greeted by the sights, smells and sounds of food cooking and pastries baking; and when I walk out the door, I feel satisfied, inspired and appreciated. Muddy Buck is not only the best cafe in Evergreen, its the best business in Evergreen, hands down. These folks are setting a beautiful example.

Great coffee and awesome history in the building. Held a bridal party with 4 different severe food allergies, service was very friendly and accommodating and the staff preparing our food did great not cross contaminating and serving everyone safe food. Others mention a wait time, however theres water and mints if youre starving, and great inside and outside choices of seating which makes the wait easy. Plus they are dog friendly on the deck. Only down side is they are closed Mondays, love this place!

Someone very considerate behind the bar suggested I try combining half and half of the Oregon Sweet & Oregon Spicy chai tea latte options. I ordered this with almond milk and got the most excellent latte Ive ever had, and I was so confident in this suggestion, I ordered it hot even though it was like 100 gajillion degrees outside. This was a fortuitous decision, as I sat in the rocky-walled back room in some big comfy chairs and really enjoyed my drink. Yum.

My wife and I have been customers for three years and really enjoy this place. One thing we would like to share with the new owners is the pricing and size of the grab and go now the little Juan burritos. The pricing went up 33% and has less filling. I enjoy the taste of the new little Juan better than the older grab and go, so props on that. Just add some more potatoes, they are cheap. Thanks for being a great place!

Used to be a cozy coffee shop with friendly people and great food including lots GF and allergen friendly options. Then the new owners took over and got rid of the great food and most of the GF free & allergen options. Staff is still friendly but rarely gets orders correct. This used to be one of the best spots in Evergreen for breakfast and lunch. Sadly its become inconsistent and overpriced. Heres hoping it changes soon!

Great local hangout to meet up with friends or business colleagues. Free WiFi. Great breakfast and lunch menu. Awesome open mic Thursdays and fun Friday night music and cocktail night out in this historic landmark building on the Main Street Boardwalk in historic Downtown Evergreen. Oh and they have a coffee roaster and sell fresh roasted coffee...by the cup or by the pound...whole beans or ground.

Love the atmosphere in here. Latte is pretty good, but I am disappointed in the food. Today, I got hashbrowns and an English muffin -waited a half hour for them and they came out cold. Not even a little warm.. cold. Ive had a breakfast burrito here before and it wasnt terrible, but extremely bland in flavor. Ill still come back for coffee, but have decided I wont be getting food here again.

The Muddy Buck is a good coffee/sandwich shop with a rustic atmosphere on the old Evergreen boardwalk. Our favorite is breakfast. I get a Big Juan Breakfast Burrito and my wife likes the Danwich, a BLT with a fried egg on it. I get the Sherpa Chai tea, wife gets the coffee. They roast their own beans here. Dont be in a hurry as all food and drinks are made to order.

Really cozy place, great coffee. I had a vegetarian panini, because apparently my wife says we are vegetarian now, but thats not Muddy Bucks fault, but the food was good.....if you like vegetarian....i think? My only suggestion is to have maybe 2 more low tables for families with kids as there were only 2 in the whole place. Otherwise, I really liked it.

Just so that others know... My wife and I paid $14 for a bagel with ("we wont put it on there") cream cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato and avocado. Careful that you dont order anything custom unless you want to pay top dollar. Coffee was great and we liked the atmosphere. Food was ok. Still no response from establishment by 4/5/2017

Worst service ever from a employee who obviously didnt want to be there. And no I dont want my food microwaved. I didnt pay top dollar to have my food microwaved. Then when I asked him about it the guy had every excuse in the book. I guess Ill just walk across the street to a good coffee shop.

Great ambiance. We went there midday on a summer Saturday to relax. My wife and I enjoyed chai teas, of which they had some interesting (and good) varieties. They had playing cards available, so we took a little while to enjoy it and generally just chill out. Would return!
