You can tell Ross stores operate with a skeleton crew more often than not. No doubt corporate determines the budget for staff based on some inadequate, one-size-fits-all algorithm. Would be nice if the algorithm had some redundency built in and took into account employee call-outs. Nope. Ive been in some long lines with staff apologizing to customers about the lack of cashiers due to call-outs and shift changes. Long waits create irate customers that unnecessarily take it out on staff which are helpless to do anything thanks to the idiot fat-cats calling the shots from afar. Talk about a blow to morale, Ive seen cashiers near tears. But I digress. The Englewood store is one of my favorites to shop at since during peak times the lines arent as crushingly bad as those at the one across from the Belmar shopping center. Also, the cashiers seem to go out of their way to do their best despite the corporation not doing likewise for the employees. Hell, time and time again cashiers (including a manager) have had to apologize for their ailing computer equipment being on the fritz and halting a transaction. I bet corporates computers work, why then do I have to wait for a register to re-boot to finish a purchase? Not only that but cashiers also have to fuss too much to get the ink tags off clothes because the machines that remove them are often iffy or jam. Whats more, I left once without a receipt because the printer (circa 1995) gave up the ghost. Good god, yall, this is the 21st century, most kids have touch screen phones & Ross cant even give their cashiers a reliable way to offer up a receipt to customers. Ross simply doesnt deserve the store-level employees they have. In summation, Ross corporate = -1 star. Ross Englewood = 5 stars. Thank you Ross employees on the front lines at Englewood for not giving up and throwing in the towel despite corporates every effort to tie your hands and cement your shoes.

Absolutely terrible location, my family and I went to this location and we were instantly shocked by the condition on cleanliness of this store. What was even more shocking is the 5+ female employees walking around cussing at each other in Spanish. What was even more disgusting is the employee girls had 10+ teenagers hanging out with pillows and blamkets for sale laying in the home department on the floor. When I spoke to a manager on the phone she had 0 concern for customer satisfaction her name is Sandra Marrofo. There was however one woman mid 50s blonde hair trying to clean up the store. Even the girls at the front were more concerned with flirting with male customers than assisting the customers in line. Absolute disgusting experience, it was more like a dirty hangout with 0 adult supervision

The store is dirty and disorganized, while many items on the shelves were broken. I finally found a picture fame that would suffice for my needs and tried to checkout at the jewelry department. The clerk at the counter was checking out an off duty employee who was "finishing up her Christmas shopping" and I got behind the off duty employee. The clerk that was working told me that she would nit check me out and that I had to get in line up front. I questioned why the clerk could check out the off duty employee but nit me and she replied back that I had to get in line behind everyone else and that "its not fair" if she check me out and nit the other people on line. Apparently only employees are treated with respect at this location.

The manager, Jorge, was very rude to me today. I was in an isle trying on shirts, over a shirt I was wearing when I came in, when he told me I wasnt allowed to try on clothes in the aisle. "Thats what dressing rooms are for." I asked, "Why would ROSS place standing mirrors at the end of every other isle if its not ok to try on clothes in front of them"...especially when youre not disrobing. He told me they were for shoes and jackets. Really??? Thats a lot of mirrors for just shoes and jackets. Truthfully, I wouldve loved to try on on the dressing room but its kind of difficult when you have a 1 year old strapped to your hip. Come on Jorge, its ROSS not Neiman Marcus!

I was trying to kill some time waiting for a friend to get off at another store. I was looking at shoes when an employee came barreling up to me and rudely asked if need anything. Told him no and went on browsing. I then noticed that he was walking around the area I was in. Having enough of him so I decided to leave. Upon reaching the door I see he is at a checkout with a customer and employee. As I open the door he yells "HAVE A NICE DAY". He then turned the other people at the register and made a comment. I have never felt more like a thief than I did that day. I have not been back to th as that store since, but I have gone to other locations.

I do like Ross even if they were stupid about offering a discount on an open package that I wanted that was missing one out of three tools and several employees figured logically...yep you got it 1/3 off. I would have gone half myself but the Einstein manager had the girl who had already given me a third off cancel the discount and offer me 15 % off instead. So I turned it down and nonsale was made. I do get all sorts of good deals there though. Some of the stuff like bike lights are cheap and break immediatly but other than that, I get skullcandy headphones for half the price i pay elsewhere. They do have good deals on name brand products.

I LOVE Ross! This is my favorite clothing store of all time! Their prices just can not be beat when you look at the quality and variety of what they carry. They also have a fantastic plus size section. Im a really big fan of the fact that you can take 8 items into the dressing room at a time so you dont have to keep getting dressed to go get a few more items.

Love, love, love this store! I wish we had one at home. Gorgeous dresses for dirt cheap prices. Just purchased two dresses that anywhere else would have been easily priced at $130 + each, for less than $30 a piece. Not an excellent selection for mature mens clothes, as most are targeted for teenagers and early 20s, but can not beat Ross for dresses.

Took a while to get someone to the jewelry counter but the girl was nice and helpful. The juniors girls department was not so good and they had almost no small sizes and what they did have was picked over and awful styles. Its also very messy and the stuff is all on the floor or slung over the racks. The mens was better selection wise.

First off let me say that that I love Ross stores, but this store never fails to disappoint. Every time I come here it is always low on stock the racks are always bare, the kid section is mediocre. You should go to to the one dowtown, they have way more stuff!
