I used to love this place...I would mainly go in because of the awesome emails they would send. Over the last 6 to 8 months they have changed their emails to become very sommelier and fairly high end driven...leaving the simpler things out. I used to enjoy that even though they had great eclectic selection, they didnt treat it like it was a haven for rich folks. I think some of the buyers changed hands, and I am not sure who is doing the emails, but you best just give them your wallet when you walk in and get a dictionary out when you get their emails. I still admire them but it went from a great neighborhood store to a haven for sommeliers and rich folks. Its easy to be a snob about something, but much harder to be humble about things that are high end and nice. Hopefully they get back to that again.

When it comes to quality wine and beer and knowledgeable, friendly staff nothing beats Mondo Vino! I have lived in the Highlands neighborhood since 2005 and they have never let me down. I can just walk in and tell the first person I see what I am making for dinner; they grab the perfect wine to pair with my dinner and hand it to me. They are right every single time! I love the variety. Not always stocking the same wines, I have been encouraged to try wines that are out of my comfort zone and surprisingly Ive learned a great deal about wine in the process! If you get on their email list, you will discover some great deals! Free wine tastings every Friday and Saturday are a plus. They are dog friendly, too!

I love Mondo Vinos! This place is full of old world charm and the people are the best. I have gotten to know the owner and he is very knowledgeable, funny, considerate and full of life. His staff is kind of witty too! Someday I want to own a vineyard and have Mondo Vino sell my wine. I LOVE this store if only for the beer selection, which is OUT OF THIS WORLD! For a little corner beer/wine store, this place is phenomenal. The staff is also super friendly. Im never walking around the store with a six-pack or bottle long before someone asks me if they can take it to the register for me. If Im unsure, I ask them what they recommend and theyre quick to point out suggestions.

We had a large group staying on 32nd Ave. The staff at Mondo Vino was so helpful in picking out wine and beer for the group. We stopped in while waiting for our table at the wing place down the street, and they offered to deliver our purchases back to the house we were staying at so we didnt have to carry it to dinner. Amazing service. Great location. Helpful staff.

I love this wine store. I have been going to Mondo Vino for years and every single staff member has been helpful, non pretentious and, most importantly, made excellent wine selections. It makes shopping for wine a pleasure. The tastings are great as well (especially when there are cupcakes). Keep doing what youre doing!

Best beer and wine store in Highlands, hands down no question. Honestly the best staff Ive ever encountered, all extremely knowledgeable and well suited to fielding any question you may have. Mondo Vino is and well continue to be my favorite store in the denver metro area. And best of all I can bring my dog inside!

Walked in here a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised at how knowledgeable the staff was with there specialty beers. They take great pride in there selection and know about every beer they carry. They even called me to let me know a beer was in stock that i asked about, and put it on hold for me! A+++++

Always given Excellent wine recommendations, and the expert employees have enlightened us to many new and fabulous liquor experiences! Great place to buy a bottle of wine if you know nothing! Great selection, but the prices blew my mind. Charging an average of 12-15 dollars for local 6 packs of craft beers is not a way to keep repeat business, not to mention the very high prices on common whiskies. I may be back if Im looking for something rare to celebrate.

Amazing store with amazing service. The did not have the beer I wanted, Schlenkerla Marzen from Bamburg Germany, so they offered to order me a case. Have not been able to find this beer anywhere else in the Denver metro area.

Boutique wine, beer, liquor shop. The prices are alright, but the reason to go there is for the service and exptertise. They often carry harder-to-find stuff and will order stuff on your behalf which is awesome.
